The term “Redcoat” is used to call English soldiers. It comes from the color of the uniform used by most regiments. The redcoats are here with a Scottish regiment wearing their typical kilt, issued since 1739. On June 6th,1944, General Dempsey's troops of the British Expeditionary Force, composed by the 3rd and 50th English Division and by the Canadian 3rd Division, landed on the beaches of Normandy codenamed Sword, Juno, and Gold. The D-Day had thus come. The British Expeditionary Force was to land and quickly take over the town of Caen. Americans, landing at Omaha and Utha in the West, were to seize control of the Cotenin peninsula and the Cherbourg port.

The Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet is a modern twin-engine, carrier-capable, single-seat fighter directly derived from the original design of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. Larger and heavier than its predecessor, it is characterized by significantly improved flight and combat performance. Noticeable evolutionary design changes can best be seen in the revised wing-shape which is able to ensure maximum performance, particularly in terms of maneuverability. Additional design improvements can also be seen in the newer intake ramps for the engines, and also in the enhanced tail design. The aircraft originally entered service with the United States Navy in the early 2000’s to replace the F-14 Tomcat, with the primary role of fleet air defense. Deployed with an increased mission range and the adoption of improved avionic systems, it is one of the more effective carrier-based fighters. It is armed with a 20mm M61 internal gun and can carry air-to-air missiles mounted on its under-wing hard points. The "Land Rover" was certainly one of the best known symbols of "made in England" on 4 wheels and is in fact a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. It was born immediately after the war, with the first prototypes made in 1947, to satisfy both civil and military tasks. Inspired, even if not directly, by the American Jeep, it was characterized by 4x4 all-wheel drive and a sturdy and reliable structure capable of tackling the most difficult and demanding routes. The aluminum body made it lighter but, at the same time, more resistant to corrosion and a long service life. In 1971, when the Series III was introduced, more than a million units had already been produced and built for both civil and military use, both in the 88-inch "standard wheelbase" version or in the 109 "long wheel base" version inches, the latter reproduced in the kit.

Final version of the glorious Countach, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Lamborghini, boasts numerous improvements, were in fact changed about 3,000 of the 8,000 pieces that make up the car. Much of the aesthetic innovations derived from the prototype Countach Evoluzione in 1986, the first supercar in the world made of carbon fiber. The air box and the air intakes were redesigned and enlarged and were mounted of miniskirts , the geometry of the suspension was modified. The improved aerodynamics allowed a maximum speed of 300 km / h. This was the last version made the Countach, which remained in production until 1990 when it was replaced by the Diablo. The Diablo was produced between 1990 and 2001. During this period, Lamborghini introduced several variations of the Diablo concept, the first being the Diablo VT (Visco Traction), which featured an all-wheel drive. The Diablo was destined to become the worthy heir of the renowned Miura and Countach. This newsupercar was wide, low and futuristic. And just like its predecessors, the Diablo soon became a favorite among car enthusiasts across the world. The Diablo models helped build the legend of Lamborghini and sold well. Almost 3,000 units across all series and variations found their buyers in those eleven years of evolution. The Lamborghini bosses had wished for a maximum speed of at least 320 kph, and the engineers made this wish come true: With a top speed of 325 kph and an acceleration from 0-100 in 4.5 seconds the Diablo claimed the pole position in the super sports cars segment. The McLaren MP4/2 was one of the most successful racing cars, securing the most victories in the history of Formula 1. The Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera RSR was built in 1974 in four specimens to take part in the racing season of the World Constructors Championship. Thus it was possible to witness the participation of the factory with one and sometimes two cars under the colors of the Martini Racing Team, and entrusted to the official crews Muller - van Lennep and Koinigg - Schurti. Despite having almost equal power (about 500 hp) to that of rival cars, the Porsches did not have the lightness or handling of the latter, which ran in the Prototype category. The Suzuki RG 500 is considered to be an icon of two-wheel racing motorcycles of the 1970s. It was specifically developed by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki for the racing world, and built around the reliable and powerful 4-cylinder 500cc 2-stroke engine which provided up to 90 HP. The 1st and 29th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army, part of the fifth Corps led by General Bradlay, landed on June 6th, 1944, on the beach between Vierville sur Mer and Sainte Honorine des Pertes. The beach is historically known with its codename in Operation Overlord: Omaha Beach. Norton Motors Ltd was founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton, but it is from 1907, after Rem Fowler won on the Isle of Man TT racetrack, that the sporting tradition of this iconic British brand begins. Between 1930 and 1937 Norton won 78 of the 92 Grand Prix races. After World War II, expressly created for the competition from which takes its name (Isle of Man TT), the Norton Manx was born. In order to adapt it to the racetrack, it is the first one to opt for a double cradle frame (Featherbed), which, between 1947 and 1954, collects a long line of successes. The legendary single-cylinder Manx 500 was ridden to victory in the Isle of Man TT by the intrepid Geoff Duke, who was awarded for the World Championship in 1950 and 1951.

The Alfa Romeo 8C can be considered as one of the most famous sports cars of the 1930s. The car's name derives from the engine adopted: an 8-cylinder in-line supercharged engine with a displacement of 2,336 cc. The Alfa Romeo could be considered the “state of art” for technology, innovative solutions and performances. Characterized by an impressive reliability and driveability the “8C” achieved significant victories in international car racing competitions. It linked its name to the famous Italian driver Tazio Nuvolari that won, among the others, the Targa Florio race in Sicily and the prestigious Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Introduced to the market in 1988, the Volvo F16 achieved considerable commercial success largely due to its innovative “powertrain” line which was able to achieve a high level of driving performance, low fuel consumption and low running and maintenance costs. The American supersonic twin-engine Grumman F-14 Tomcat was the icon of the U.S. Navy fighter squadrons during the ‘80s and ‘90s. it was characterized by the adoption of the variable-sweep wing, the twin-tail and the tandem two-seat cabin. The “Tomcat” provided an impressive operational performance. Thanks to its two General Electric Afterburning turbofans it was able to reach the max speed of Mach 2.34. It was armed with a 20 mm M61 Vulcan rotating gun and it could use, in addition to the more conventional AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-7 Sparrow, the AIM-54 Phoenix radar-guided long-range missiles. The F-14 entered in service during the ‘70s, replacing the F-4 Phantom II to perform air superiority duties. The battle of Stalingrad was a turning point of the Second World War and one of the most famous battle of the military history. The battle begun on summer 1942 and the Soviet Red Army faced the German army for the control of Volga and Don rivers region. The military operations were focused in the symbolic city of Stalingrad destroyed by the intense German bombing. The ruins of the city became the theater of brutal and fierce close quarters combats. One of the most important German target was the control of the industrial area including the huge tractor factory, converted during the war to the production of T-34 tanks, destroyed by bombers and artillery fire. On November 1942, the Soviets launched the large flanking maneuver to surround the Wehrmacht forces in Stalingrad that ended with the surrender of German Troops in the first months of 1943.
