Tamiya 1/24 Celica LB Turbo... $37.95
The Celica LB Turbo was a Group 5 racing car developed for the Deutsche Rennsport-Meisterschaft (DRM) in 1977. It was based on Celica Liftback 2000GT road car and attached aerodynamic parts such as bulging over fenders and a rear wing. The entire body was redone in lightweight FRP with the exception of the hood, roof, door and rear panel components; the car weighed a mere 860kg. The Toyota inline-four engine with a capacity of 1,968cc (18R-G) was modified by German outfit Schnitzer. They added their own 16 valve cylinder head to the engine: the powerplant had a 2,090cc capacity and was paired with a mechanical fuel injection system and KKK turbocharger, resulting in an impressive output of 560hp. It debuted in the eighth DRM race at Hockenheim in 1977. In October, it even beat the mighty Porsche 935 in the ADAC trophy race at Zolder, Belgium. This distinctive Japanese-German silhouette racing car was one to keep an eye on. The impressive aerodynamic body was entirely redone in FRP with the exception of the hood, roof, door and rear panel components. The powerful front form has a spoiler integrated with widened fenders. The photo gives a good look at the extended rear fenders. The rear wing enhanced traction of the driven rear wheels. Chassis underside is also realistically recreated with flat underpanels and side exhaust pipe. Deep rim mesh wheels are metal-plated. Slick tires use solid synthetic rubber for realistic feel. The cockpit has depictions of roll cage and fire extinguisher to go along with the driver figure. Cartograf decals are used for superlative color. Two racing numbers are included: no. 56 car from the DRM race and no. 68 car which beat the Porsche 935 in the ADAC trophy race. Features This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 192mm, width: 87mm, height: 52mm. The largely modified, powerful form with aerodynamic parts such as wide fenders and a large rear wing is accurately rendered. Cockpit with roll cage, chassis underside and suspension etc. are captured realistically. Front and rear mesh wheels are metal-plated parts. Front and rear slick tires with different width use solid synthetic rubber. Comes with high-quality Cartograf decals. Two racing numbers can be chosen. A driver figure is included.

Tamiya 1/12 Mini Cooper 1.3i $108.95
Few cars carry as much personality in such a compact package as the legendary Mini. From its 1959 debut, the BMC design stayed unusually true to itself for more than four decades, offered under both Austin and Morris names and loved for its clever packaging, cheeky character and agile road feel. In 1961, the Mini Cooper brought motorsport energy to the story, taking race and rally stages by storm. Revived in the 1990s, the Mini Cooper 1.3i arrived in 1991 with a 1.3-liter (1,271 cc) fuel-injected engine, white roof, bonnet stripes, fog lamps, eight-spoke wheels and a sporty interior — all the ingredients for maximum character on minimum footprint. From 2001, the Mini name entered a new era under BMW Group, carrying the original icon's spirit forward for a new generation. A global small-car legend with big personality, the Mini Cooper 1.3i makes a charismatic 1/12 scale subject, complete with 8-spoke wheels. Metal-plated front grille and bumper parts add shine, while the fog lamps bring an extra touch of period character. The engine bay features detailed representations of the 1.3-liter injection engine, air cleaner, radiator, air-conditioning condenser, brake master cylinder and more. With its wheels pushed to the corners, the Mini's clever chassis frees up impressive interior space despite its compact dimensions. Dashboard, pedals, three-spoke steering wheel and shift lever are separately molded parts for a finely detailed finish. An optional Union Jack roof graphic can be added using the included decal. The decal sheet also includes white bonnet stripes, emblems and instrumentation, accompanied by window masking stickers. Carpet stickers add an extra layer of realism to the model's detailed interior. Features This 1/12 scale plastic model assembly kit gives the Mini Cooper 1.3i room to shine, with impressive detail and unmistakable charm. Length: 256 mm, width: 133 mm, height: 113 mm. Tamiya 35393 1/35 German Sc... $27.95
1/35 German Schwimmwagen Type 166 (featuring narrow tires) has been a strong-selling kit since 1998. Now, we are delighted to welcome the release of a Schwimmwagen kit with wide tires, additional equipment such as MG34 machine gun and new two figures. Criss-crossed by rivers and dotted with wetlands, European geography poses significant military challenges and led the German Wehrmacht to develop the Schwimmwagen, an amphibious vehicle based upon the Ferdinand Porsche-designed Kübelwagen. With a 4-cylinder gasoline engine capable of 25hp, the Schwimmwagen featured the 80km/h top speed on ground. The rear three-bladed screw propeller was lowered manually using a rod and provided water speed up to 10km/ h. While paucity of materials meant many Schwimmwagens used 133mm tires, those with wider 200mm tires enjoyed superior off-road performance. Features The Schwimmwagen, an amphibious vehicle trusted by German soldiers, now comes in even more variations.  In addition to the highly detailed suspension and engine, new parts include 200mm wide wheels.  Includes accessories such as an MG34 machine gun, a windshield with cover, and a Panzerfaust, as well as driver and tank unit officer figures.

Tamiya 35390 1/35 US Tank D... $62.95
During WWII, U.S. forces developed the M10 tank destroyer with 76.2mm gun, but it was not effective against powerful German tanks such as the Tiger and Panther. Perched upon the M10A1 chassis equipped with a 450hp gasoline engine, the M36 employed a new open top turret and a 90mm gun. The M36 saw its first action on the Franco-German border in October 1944 and continued until the German surrender in May 1945. Over 1,000 M36s were deployed among 21 battalions and contributed to the Allied forces’ advance. This model assembly kit recreates the U.S. Tank Destroyer M36. The subject was first released in 1968 as a motorized single motor kit. It’s now been recreated from the ground up with new tooling, except for the M2 machine gun and clear parts used in other Tamiya WW2 kits that use these newer parts. Features 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 216mm, width: 88mm. The form with open top turret is faithfully captured based on extensive research of the actual tank. Features new parts except for M2 heavy machine gun and transparent parts. The turret interior has details such as 90mm gun breech and auxiliary machinery. The jutting turret rear counterweight is realistically depicted with its curved form and cast surface patterns, and features ease of assembly thanks to the use of slide molding. The full interior has realistic depictions such as shell racks, floor and bulkheads. Includes parts to recreate exhaust deflector, tow hooks and tow cables. Ammunition cases and one full body tanker figure included. Assembly type tracks have one-piece straight sections. Comes with two marking options to recreate a 3rd Army vehicle in Luxembourg or a 774th Tank Destroyer Battalion vehicle in Germany.
