The ongoing upgrade of our Code 83 track system has taken a further step with the introduction of the Unifrog format for the #8 turnouts. These replace the now-discontinued Insulfrog and Electrofrog versions that were originally supplied.  Unifrog offers the modellers the choice of dead frog or live frog in one unit - they decide how they want to use it! This is a fully selectable double slip point that has two points plus cross rail capabilities in one. On the inside of a 45 degree curve with a radius of 317 mm, the N-CPR317/280-45(F) branches to the right, while the N-CPL317/280-45(F) branches to the left, at a radius of 280 mm and 45 degrees. It is a fully selective type and can also be used as a spring point. Features Mini curve rails are curve rails with R140mm and R177mm, and are small radius curve rails that can be placed outside the super mini curve rail while maintaining Tomix's standard spacing of 37mm. By using these products and Finetrack's straight rails, which are currently on sale, you can create layouts that are easier and more space-saving than ever before. Equipped with a spring point function that allows you to pass through from the non-open side.

The latest conversion to Unifrog is now available. This time we have updated the Streamline OO/HO scale Code 100 Small Radius "Y" turnout to conform to this new format. Produced from brand new tooling this replaced the former Insulfrog and Electrofrog SL-97 and SL-E97 (both of these are now discontinued and out of stock). Y Turnouts are really useful track components - their main benefit being as great space-savers. By combining the Y with the short crossing you can create a tight radius double junction and using several Ys together allows you to fit more routes in a restricted space. Ideal when building small loco yards and goods sidings. It's what the real railways would have done after all! The Unifrog Conversion On a Unifrog turnout the frog tip and wing rails are electrically isolated from all other rails. The turnout can be used as supplied on a DC or DCC layout without any modification, using the standard SL-10 rail joiner. If desired, the frog tip and wing rails can be powered by connecting the wire welded underneath to a changeover switch or microswitch working in unison with one of our turnout motors. Basically, as supplied the turnout operates as an Insulfrog turnout. If the frog is powered then it operates as an Electrofrog turnout. So, the best of both worlds in one unit! Peco Streamline Bullhead 0 Gauge track has set unsurpassed standards for 7mm scale realism. Superbly detailed, its 'wood grain' sleepers are the correct scale width and have integrally moulded scale chairs with square headed fixing bolts and wooden keys. This range is compatible with the 0 Setrack range; and if, as on the real network, you wish to use a combination of Bullhead and Flat Bottom track the SL-713 Transition Track provides an ideal way to connect the two types.
