For models that get a lot of handling this is the answer. Even the Micro Coat Flat and Micro Coat Satin continue to look like new after a great deal of handling. One of the main reasons for the Micro Coat finishes is that they are the ideal way to be sure that your Microscale Decals perform up to their potential for realism. Micro Coat Clear gives you a 'wet look' shine that replicates the new synthetic paint used on the real thing. It is also the answer for a glossy base necessary for decaling. All the Micro Coat Finishes use the same water clear acrylic resin, which is tough and flexible and adheres strongly to paint and plastic. It is rated to last at least twenty years under ordinary conditions, for models this should be forever.

It heightens the flexibility of the colors, and their adhesion to the surface. Does not yellow or change tonality of the color. Can also be used as a binder for dry pigment.

It comes with an attached polyester cloth. It is a water-soluble liquid type that spreads well and has excellent wiping properties.

Glaze Medium is a colorless glaze, used to mix with acrylic colors; improves fluidity, increases transparency, and slows drying time. Ideal for shadows, shadings, glazes and working with pigments.

The advanced formulation contains a revolutionary component which guarantees exceptional adherence on even the most difficult surfaces, and offers great resistance to rough handling, impact, friction, scratches, etc. Once dry, the Mecha surface looks the same as the original plastic of the model, while yet the smallest details of the original remain clearly visible. The color range includes primers as well as special varnishes – also with an exclusive formulation- and a series of colors for aging and weathering effects. It is recommended to apply the Mecha colors in several layers on the previously primed surface; a few hours after application the colors will have dried to form a homogenous coating of extraordinary strength and resistance. Mecha Color can be airbrushed directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver, and the colors can also be applied by brush. The compressor adjustment recommended is 15 – 20 PSI o 0.5 to 1 kg. For best airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. Safety: Always follow the information on the product label. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro- 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). Permanent, quick drying varnish and matt finish. Formula 100% acrylic with UV resistance. Can be apply with airbrush or varnishing brush. It is recommended to apply two coats of varnish, with an interval of at least 4 hours. Quick drying Varnish can be diluted with water if desired.

Metallic paint created from a wax base. Made from high quality pigments, achieving extremely realistic effects. Specially designed for modelers, these waxes can be applied by brush, with the fingertip, with a cotton swab or ever with airbrush diluted with our Thinner and getting a fine surface. Once dried, it can be polished to achieve a metallic finish. Recommended to prime first and can be varnish with acrylic too. This is a wax base so It is recommended allow 48h to be completely dry.

The MEDIUM is a low-viscosity gel designed to maintain the properties of the formula while offering maximum performance. This QUICK GEN medium allows the paint to glide more easily, with improved surface tension to prevent rings and stains, resulting in a uniform finish. The medium is simply the type of resin used in the formula, ensuring the paint retains its properties and works without issues.

The bottles identified by labels with a grey circle comprise specially formulated mediums to modify the properties of paints. Glaze medium dilutes the paints and extends their drying time allowing to make glazes or mixtures. Metallic medium mixed with other paints offers a pearly and metallic effect. Crackle Medium causes the paint to crack. It comes in 17ml bottles.
