The F-16 Fighting Falcon, produced by the American company General Dynamics since the late '70s, is a real icon of the military aviation history. The HH-53C Jolly Green was developed by Sikorsky as a variant of the heavy helicopter CH-53 Sea Stallion. It entered service with the U.S. Air Force in the late 1960s. It was designed to carry out CSAR “Search and Rescue” missions in combat zones with high operational effectiveness. Compared to the previous version, it was equipped with an aerial refueling probe, additional fuel tanks, reinforced armor, and the option to mount extra defensive armament. Particular attention was given to improving the radio systems, which had to coordinate operational activities with other supporting aircraft—such as tankers or attack and support helicopters—needed to safely locate downed or missing pilots. The Panzerkampfwagen V “Panther” was undoubtedly one of the most famous tanks of the Second World War. It was developed as a direct response to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks, which outclassed the now outdated Panzer III and Panzer IV on the Eastern Front in terms of performance and firepower. Powered by a 700-horsepower Maybach V-12 engine, it was armed with the highly effective high-velocity 75 mm KwK 42 gun, particularly suited for anti-tank use. Thanks to a well-designed layout that optimized protection—through the adoption of sloped frontal armor—mobility, speed, and firepower, the Panther can be considered one of the best tanks of the Second World War. The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle design was initiated in the 1970s to equip the United States Air Force fighter squadrons with an advanced and high-performance jet fighter. The effective and robust aerodynamically design lay-out led to production of the two-seat “all-weather” F-15E Strike Eagle fighter-bomber. Entering into service with the USAF in the late 1980s and replacing the outdated F-111, its operational roles included ground attack, bombing and interdiction missions. It retained the flight design characteristics of the original F-15 such as the two tail drifts, sturdy mid-wing and tandem two-seater cabin, in the rear of which was the Weapon Systems Officer. From this position the officer selected the aircraft’s route management, target tracking and electronic countermeasures. The F15-E was deployed to numerous operational theatres such as the Desert Shield and Desert Storm campaigns of the early 1990s. In 2007, the Fiat Group introduced the successor to the iconic symbol of Italian automotive production: the Fiat 500. The U.S. Navy carrier-based fighter Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat was introduced in 1943 to replace the older Grumman F4F Wildcat and remained in service until the end of World War II, becoming a key player in the Pacific War. Designed to effectively counter the Japanese Zero, it was equipped with the powerful 2,000-horsepower Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine, which provided high speed and excellent flight performance. On June 14th, 1800, Napoleon, recently appointed first consul, clashed in Marengo against the 31.000 strong army of the Austrian general Baron Melas. The M4 Sherman medium tank was, without a doubt, the most widely produced and deployed armored vehicle of World War II. The M4 formed the backbone of American armored forces and was manufactured in numerous versions and variants. The JSF Joint Strike Fighter program was a developmental project to create a new 5th generation all-weather multirole combat aircraft to replace the existing American and NATO strike-fighter force. The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French-built multirole fighter that entered service in the early 1980s. M-47 Patton medium tank was developed and deployed to U.S. armored units in the early 1950s. The Douglas SBD “Dauntless” was a single-engine, low-wing aircraft and the most widely used carrier-based dive bomber by the U.S. Navy during World War II. Entering active service with American flight units in 1941, it could be employed for both reconnaissance and dive bombing missions. The SBD-3 was the true hero of the Battle of Midway (June 1942), a turning point in the Pacific War, where it played a key role in the sinking of Japanese aircraft carriers. Powered by a Wright R-1820 Cyclone radial engine, it could reach a top speed of 410 km/h (255 mph). The SBD-3 was capable of carrying nearly 2,000 kg (4,400 lbs) of bombs. It was also equipped with two forward-firing 12.7 mm (.50 cal) machine guns and two rear-facing 7.62 mm (.30 cal) machine guns. Immediately after the Second World War, the American company Republic, began working on a new turbo-jet fighter-bomber.  F.84 Thunderjet was developed on a simple but effective design   with a large frontal air intake, straight wings and a robust tricycle landing gear. Thanks to the General Electric / Allison J35 turbo-jet engine, F-84 Thunderjet was able to reach 1,000 Km / h. It was armed with six 12.7 mm machine guns  and it could carry an offensive load of nearly 900 kg. The F-84G, entered production in 1951, is one of the latest versions of the Republic fighter-bomber. In addition to the USAF it was used by many NATO countries, including several fighter-bomber squadrons of Italian Aeronautica Militare,  in accordance with the Mutual Defense Assistance Act. The PaK 97/38 was a German anti-tank gun used during World War II. It was developed using the barrel of the famous French 75 mm Mle 1897 gun. Many of these guns were captured after the invasion of France and proved to be a valid, quick, and relatively inexpensive solution to equip German anti-tank troops with a more powerful weapon than the now outdated 37 mm PaK 36, which was no longer capable of penetrating the armor of more modern and robust Soviet tanks such as the KV-1 and the T-34. It could fire a decent variety of ammunition types and was also used by numerous anti-tank units of other Axis countries allied with Germany. When the Allied forces captured a modified Tiger I, adapted to serve in a technical and logistical support role for front-line armored troops, they named it 'Bergetiger', similarly to how they had designated recovery vehicles based on the Panther and Panzer IV tanks. It was essentially a Tiger I, identical in hull and tracks, and above all in its heavy armor, stripped of its main gun and equipped with a crane suitable for towing other tanks and lifting heavy loads. It was also fitted with spare parts, equipment for repairing other armored vehicles, and reserve ammunition. There are no official production statistics, but it is believed that several 'Bergetiger' units were built directly at the front by Wehrmacht field workshops." The Battle of Austerlitz represents Napoleon’s greatest success and is considered a masterpiece of military strategy. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the best airplanes designed during World War II. With over 20,000 units produced from 1941, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it was the Luftwaffe’s most famous fighter. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 two star radial engine, with 14 1,700 Hp cylinders, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 653 Km/h. It was heavily armed with 2 MG 131 machine guns and 4 MG 151 20 mm cannons. Production of the A-8 version began in the first months of 1944, characterised with an injection system able to increase engine power, for brief periods, to over 1,900 Hp. From 1944 until May 1945 in all the Focke-Wulf factories, more than 6,500 190 A-8 models were constructed, to face the ever more frequent allied air raids. This mobile anti aircraft weapon was made for the German army in 1943 to provide battlefield protection for their forces subject to sustained attack by enemy planes. The vehicle was developed, based on the 38T tank chassis, of Czechoslovakian origin already widely employed as the basis for reconnaissance and mobile artillery units. The Gepard carried a 2cm cannon, FLAK 38 and although well armed did not alone deliver the amount of fire needed to protect a location under attack and so it was necessary to deploy them in groups for effective defence. Total production amounted to 140 before manufacture ceased in early 1944.  Includes Decals for one version
