Tamiya 14084 1/12 Kawasaki ... $38.95
Kawasaki's legacy of cutting-edge sportbikes has inspired motorcycle fans for generations. Recently, the call for 300km/h plus super sports bikes has motivated several manufactures to bring out powerful contenders. Kawasaki answered the call at the 1999 Paris Motorcycle Show, with the impressive debut of their all-new Ninja ZX-12R. This Ninja was reportedly created in the image of a fighter plane, which comes as no surprise considering that its slippery aerodynamics involved the cooperation of the Aerospace Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. In fact, the ZX-12R spent more time in the wind tunnel during its development phase than any motorcycle in Kawasaki's history. The results are evident: small winglets on the sides of the fairing separate airflow around the bike; small wind deflectors on the lower forks deflect turbulent air from the engine; a long lip on the edge of the fairing further smoothens out airflow. Also, projecting just ahead of the front fairing, a large scoop takes advantage of higher air pressure, heightening intake efficiency. A monocoque frame backbone creates an airbox that allows air to pass through the inside of the bike for cooling in addition to ensuring overall rigidity. The powerplant of the Ninja ZX-12R is a fuel injected 4-cylinder 1,199cc engine that pumps out an abundant 178hp. Its four-into-two-into-one exhaust system features a titanium muffler paired with a catalyzer, which helps eliminate unburned hydrocarbons for cleaner emissions. Kawasaki brilliantly raised the superbike standard in performance, power and aerodynamics with their series flagship, the Ninja ZX-12R. Fairing Recreated with Semi-transparent Parts As a special feature for this model, semi-transparent green parts have been used for the fairing, offering a fascinating look at the aluminum monocoque frame and detailed engine, even after completion of the model. This is a great chance to see the inner workings of Kawasaki's latest masterpiece! UnpaintedAlso, the brake lights come as semi-transparent red parts and the turning signals come as semi-transparent orange parts. These colors perfectly match those of the full-size bike. Finally, metal stickers have been used for the rear-view mirrors and front forks, providing a high-quality appearance even without painting! Features Scale: 1/12, overall length: 173mm, overall width: 70mm, overall height: 101mm. Authentic recreation of monocoque frame, 4-cylinder engine, suspension, etc. Semi-transparent green parts used for fairing, which features side wings. Easy to remove, tiny screws used for attachment of fairing. Muffler glistens with chrome plated parts. Solid rubber tires feature authentic tread pattern.

This is a 1/6 scale plastic model assembly kit of the ground-breaking GSX1100S. One of the most famous motorcycle shows in the world, is held every two years in Cologne West Germany, and the 1980 show is sure to stand out as one of the most unforgettable. One reason was that Honda released their CX500 turbo for the first time, and the second is that Suzuki's GSX1100S "Katana" (Japanese for sword) was unveiled. The Honda CX500 attracted attention for its advanced engine techniques and the Katana for its advanced and aggressive body styling, which broke from common traditional motorcycle styling. Although the Katana GSX1100S styling impressed the many thousands of viewers, almost everybody thought that it was just for show and the production model would be quite different. During the summer of 1981, Suzuki released the production Katana with almost exactly the same body styling seen at the Cologne show, with subtle improvements in the engine and running gear. The body styling is from the genius of Mr. Hans A. Muth of West Germany, who spent much time ensuring driver comfort in his design, and which proved out in many wind tunnel tests. The entire styling was derived from research on the best drivers position, and the rearward placed backsteps and unique tank styling were not done just for the pleasing jet age appearance. Large capacity fuel tank and small fairing were blended together for the best airflow around the rider and the bike. Although the bike is most noticeable for its styling, every part in it is quality. Engine is an air-cooled, parallel 4 of 1075cc, using 16 valves. With the unique Suzuki TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) in the engine, it puts out 111 hp. This tremendous power transmits into a road speed of 230 k/h and its unique body styling deeps it stable even at these high speeds. Suzuki is shipping a 1000cc Katana GSX1000S tot he American market, and also a 750cc version to the European market as well. Requests from Japanese enthusiasts prompted Suzuki to also market a 750cc Katana GSX750S to their market. Features The sharp-edged form of the legendary bike is captured with great accuracy. Front fork includes metal parts with a beautiful surface finish, plus inbuilt coil springs. A sumptuous rendering of the DOHC 4-cylinder engine features metal plated parts aplenty, with recreations of details such as carburetor. Utilizes a sprung, die-cast side stand.

This model assembly kit recreates the Team Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR as it competed and won the 2020 MotoGP championship. With the name of Suzuki's hi-spec engine oil brand, ECSTAR, this bike featured a blue and silver scheme inspired by 1960s GP models, and was ridden by Joan Mir and Álex Rins. Mir stood on the podium seven times including a victory in the 13th European GP, and Rins secured third in the season with a win in the 11th Aragon GP. Suzuki celebrated 2020 as the centenary of its establishment, and 60 years since its first foray into motorcycle road racing with their first MotoGP championship. Constantly developed from its debut in 2015, the Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR '20 employed a 1,000cc, water-cooled 4-stroke inline-4 engine capable of 340km/h maximum speed, and aerodynamic form. Features 1/12 scale model assembly kit. Length: 178mm (including a racing stand: 192mm), width: 62mm, height: 100mm. The front cowl design has box-shaped winglets to prevent front tires from lifting. Muffler details depict dual megaphone tailpipes that feature exhaust pipes with mesh-type covers. Screw-attached front cowl is detachable. Includes parts to render the airbox and fuel tank inside the tank cover. Choose between transparent components or black stickers to depict the tank pads according to rider chosen on the decal sheet. Features a realistic rendering of camera equipped on the rear cowl. Synthetic rubber tires have realistic surfaces and the bike's rear section has a spoon (rear lower fender) to help keep the rear tire cooler. Includes a racing stand. The water-cooled 4-stroke inline-4 engine, swingarm, front fork, muffler and tank cover are attached to frame by screws. Comes with decals to recreate logo & tire marks, three types of numbers - Joan Mir (No.36), Álex Rins (No.42), and Sylvain Guintoli (No. 50) – and masking stickers to help paint cowls.

The Suzuki RG 500 is considered to be an icon of two-wheel racing motorcycles of the 1970s. With this bike Suzuki participated in the world championships in the 500 class, achieving an incredible series of consecutive victories that led to it retaining the "constructors" title for several years. One of the architects of this successful period was the British rider Barry Sheene, who also won the "pilots" title for two consecutive years, in 1976 and 1977.
