Originally new from Vulcan Foundry in February 1965 as D6966, the locomotive this RailRoad model is based on became 37266 under the TOPS numbering system in 1974. Its career started at Tinsley, Sheffield and it also had postings at Stratford and Landore under BR. In January 1986 it was reclassified to 37/4 and renumbered 37422. The locomotive has worn several liveries and had several different operators, including EWS, DB Schenker, and DRS. It became part of the Harry Needle Railroad Company spot hire fleet based at Barrow Hill, which was taken over by Swietelsky, an Austrian-based railway construction and maintenance contractor, in January 2025. The locomotive was named ‘Pegasus’ later the same year. The work was carried out at Brush Traction in Loughborough between 1998 and 2004, with 33 remanufactured locomotives completed. Freightliner abandoned plans to convert further examples, instead choosing the new Class 66. Operators have since included Virgin Trains, Arriva Trains Wales, First Great Western, Colas Rail, Direct Rail Services, Rail Operations Group and Advenza Freight. 57306 was formerly 47814, it is still in service with GB Railfreight. This Class 67 No. 67015 model is finished in the vibrant DB Schenker red livery, reflecting its current use on premium services with Transport for Wales. History Thirty of these locomotives were built for EWS by Alstom in Spain in 1999/2000 as replacements for Class 47s, for use mainly on Royal Mail trains, but after mail contracts were lost in 2003/4 have been used on passenger trains.Transferred to DB Cargo by 2015, 67015 spent a period on lease to Wrexham & Shropshire trains and was named ‘David J.
