The Rolling Road is for use with most 12V DC electric locomotive models. It uses a standard Hornby 12V DC controlled power supply, as well as being compatible with the Hornby 17V DC power supply.At 348mm long, the Rolling Road is supplied with three pairs of adjustable rollers and a bogie block that adjusts within an 85mm range. Further pairs of adjustable rollers (R8212) can be purchased to suit eight or ten coupled locomotive models. In 2013, Drax unveiled the UK’s first purpose-built biomass rail freight wagon at the National Railway Museum in York. Developed by designers at Lloyd’s Register Rail and manufactured by WH Davis, it is the largest ever produced and pushes the boundaries of rail engineering. This award-winning wagon transports sustainable biomass from the Ports of Tyne, Hull, and Immingham to Drax Power Station, near Selby for use in generating low carbon, cost effective, and reliable renewable electricity. At 18.9m long with top doors stretching 18.2m and bottom doors of 3.7m, the supersize wagon has a capacity of 116 cubic metres allowing a biomass load weighing 71.6 tonnes. Its volume is almost 30 per cent bigger than any freight wagon currently used in the UK. This OO gauge model locomotive represents a Class 47 example that emerged from Crewe Works in February 1965 as D1660. It was allocated to Swansea’s Landore MPD, before being named ‘City of Truro’ at Truro station in June that year. It became 47076 under TOPs, then was reclassified as a 47/4 in November 1984, when it became 47625. In the 1990s, it became part of the RES pool for operating mail and parcels trains and, in November 1995, was modified to 47/7b, with longer-range fuel tanks and equipment for operating with a propelling control vehicle (PCV). It was given the number 47749 and named ‘Atlantic College’. It received various modifications between 1976 and 1979 and was reclassified as a 47/4 and renumbered 47610 in April 1984. It was renumbered again in April 1989, when it became a 47/8 and was given the number 47823, before becoming 47787 as part of the EWS fleet and being named ‘Windsor Castle’. A total of 31 Class 91s were built between 1988 and 1991 for high-speed express passenger train haulage as part of the East Coast electrification programme of the late 1980s. Known as InterCity 225s in anticipation of their service speed of 225km/h (140mph), they were also referred to as ‘Electras’ by BR during their development phase. No.91018 was built at BREL Crewe and entered service in 1990. It received the name ‘Robert Louis Stevenson’ in November 1993, and this was changed to ‘Bradford Film Festival’ in February 2000. It was modified to Class 91/1 in 2002 and renumbered 91118, and remained in service until withdrawn by LNER in May 2020, before going into storage. It was scrapped by February 2023. The next model from our One:One Collection is the elegant BR Royal Scot Class 'Royal Scot' locomotive. With sprung metal buffers and NEM tension lock couplings, this steam locomotive model is DCC ready - just add a 21 pin decoder. First of the class, 6100 ‘Royal Scot’ entered service with the LMS in 1927. Designed by Henry Fowler as a three-cylinder express locomotive with parallel boiler, a lack of capacity at its locomotive works meant construction of the first 50 was awarded to the North British Locomotive Co. in Glasgow. The remaining 20 were built at Derby Works. No. 6100 swapped identities with the much newer 6152 ‘King’s Dragoon Guardsman’ (built in 1930) in order to attend the ‘Century of Progress Exhibition’, Chicago, in 1933. As BR 46100, ‘Royal Scot’ was rebuilt with a taper boiler to its present condition in 1950. Withdrawn in 1962, it returned to the main line in 2016, but is currently stored at the One:One Collection, Margate. What is the One:One Collection? The smart black BR (Early) Class 9F makes a wonderful OO gauge model locomotive addition to your collection. New to March in Cambridgeshire in November 1954, 92031 was one of 251 ‘standard’ heavy freight locomotives built to the design of Robert Riddles between January 1954 and March 1960. Its working career took it to allocations at New England (Peterborough), Annesley, Westhouses and Newton Heath, Manchester, from where it was withdrawn in January 1967 after an incredibly short working life of just 12 years and almost two months. Scrapped at T.W. Ward at Killamarsh, near Sheffield, the locomotive was always paired with a standard BR1F tender. Completed in November 1935, this ‘Black Five’ was built at Vulcan Foundry, near Newton-le-Willows in Lancashire. It spent most of its working career in north-west England and North Wales, though in 1966 it had brief allocations at West Hartlepool and York, before moving back to the Liverpool area and serving at Bank Hall and then Aintree. It almost lasted to the end of steam, withdrawal coming a month shy on 6th July 1968 from Lostock Hall, Preston, with scrapping the following February. The RailRoad Class 57 locomotive model brings you a detailed, yet durable version of a classic diesel locomotive. With sprung metal buffers and NEM tension lock couplings, this is a great example of a modern locomtive. Plus, it's DCC sound-fitted, ready for use on your HM7000 layout. The Class 57s were a rebuild of Class 47s, retaining the basic bodyshell. They were fitted with reconditioned EMD engines and similar traction motors to those used on the Class 56s. The initiative came from Freightliner growing increasingly frustrated at the poor reliability of its ageing fleet of Brush-built Class 47s. The work was carried out at Brush Traction in Loughborough between 1998 and 2004, with 33 remanufactured locomotives completed. Freightliner abandoned plans to convert further examples, instead choosing the new Class 66. Operators have since included Virgin Trains, Arriva Trains Wales, First Great Western, Colas Rail, Direct Rail Services, Rail Operations Group and Advenza Freight. 57306 was formerly 47814, it is still in service with GB Railfreight. This Class 67 No. 67015 model is finished in the vibrant DB Schenker red livery, reflecting its current use on premium services with Transport for Wales. This model of BR ‘Patriot’ Class 4-6-0 No. 45540 ‘Sir Robert Turnbull’ is presented in its post-rebuild condition, reflecting its appearance under British Railways ownership. DCC ready with a 21-pin decoder socket, the locomotive is designed with metal sprung buffers and NEM tension lock couplers. This locomotive started out as 5901 when it emerged from Crewe Works in August 1933, but was later renumbered to 5540. It was rebuilt with a Stanier taper boiler in October 1947, which promoted it from power class ‘6P’ to ‘7P’. It became 45540 under BR in May 1948 and survived in service until condemned in April 1963 and was scrapped by July that year.  The locomotive’s name, transferred from withdrawn ‘Large Claughton’ 1161, was in honour of Sir Robert Turnbull, former General Manager of the LNWR, who was knighted in 1913. Henry Fowler designed the ‘Patriot’ 4-6-0 for the LMS as an upgrade of the LNWR’s ‘Large Claughton’ Class for express passenger work. Built at both Crewe and Derby Works, 42 and ten respectively, 52 entered service between 1930 and 1934. ‘Holyhead’ was new from Crewe in September 1932, numbered 5983, but this was changed to 5514 in August 1938, as represented by the model.  The locomotive would later be rebuilt with a Stanier taper boiler in 1947, before becoming BR 45514, with withdrawal coming at Derby in May 1961, the first of the rebuilt ‘Patriots’ to be condemned. This Hornby model of LMS ‘Patriot’ Class 4-6-0 No. 5514 ‘Holyhead’ is finished in accurate period detail as it appeared in the late 1930s. Designed for reliable performance on OO gauge layouts, the locomotive is DCC ready with a 21-pin decoder socket and if fitted with Metal sprung buffers and NEM tension lock couplers. This locomotive entered service as one of Henry Ivatt’s ‘J13’ Class as No. 1247, having been built under contract by Sharp, Stewart in 1899. It became LNER ‘J52’ 4247 at the Grouping in 1923, and later 8846 under the LNER’s 1946 renumbering scheme.  It entered BR service as 68846 and was withdrawn from King’s Cross ‘Top Shed’ in May 1959, at which point it became the first preserved locomotive to be bought directly from BR when it was acquired by Captain W.G. Smith. It is now part of the National Collection and restored as GNR 1247. Features New Tooling - High detail OO Gauge model based on extensive research and original works drawings.
