Historical Precision on a Large Scale
Model Set Messerschmitt Bf109G-10 Erla
With demanding large-scale models in 1:32 scale, the challenge often lies in the details. Nothing detracts from the overall impression more than rudimentary cockpits or static surfaces, which are immediately noticeable at this size. Furthermore, the search for the exact colors for historical camouflage patterns often dampens enthusiasm. This model set eliminates these hurdles. It offers you a top-level kit (Level 5) specifically designed for experienced modelers and includes all the necessary basic equipment. This allows you to fully concentrate on the complex technology and historical authenticity without having to compromise.
The G-10 "Erla" is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing variants of the famous 109 series, primarily due to its modified engine cowling. This kit captures precisely these subtle differences in the lines. You're not working on a simple snap-fit kit here, but on a technically demanding replica that requires patience and experience. The reward is a model that impresses with its sheer presence and level of detail.
Whether you choose the version by Erich Hartmann from the final days of the war or the Praha-Kbely Air Base variant, the included Aqua Color paints provide a solid foundation for an authentic paint job. As this is a reissue of the popular 2014 version, you now have the chance to (re)discover this highlight of the 1:32 scale series and add a true centerpiece to your collection.
The Bf 109 G-10 was not a completely new aircraft, but rather a kind of "emergency program" from the late stages of World War II, designed to adapt the performance of the G-series to the superior Allied fighters. It often combined G-series fuselages with the powerful DB 605 D engine. The designation "Erla" refers to the Erla machine works in Leipzig. Characteristic of this production was the asymmetrical, streamlined engine cowling (often mistakenly called the "Galland cowling"), which was necessary to accommodate the lines and components of the larger engine. With Major Erich Hartmann's aircraft, you will build the plane of the pilot who made history with 352 aerial victories.
