Tamiya 61114 1/48 Grumman F... $136.95
From its first test flights in 1970 through to its retirement in 2006, the F-14 Tomcat is a carrier-based fighter that has captured the imagination; its variable sweep wing allowed automatic adjustment for optimum performance and an impressive combination of speed and maneuverability. It had a powerful AN/AWG-9 fire control system that could use AIM-54 Phoenix missiles to take on multiple targets from range. 477 of the 632 Tomcats supplied to the U.S. Navy were the early F-14A variant; their delivery to units began with carrier squadrons in 1973, and its combat debut was in the 1975 evacuation from Saigon. It was later in action in conflicts in Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. Seventy-nine F-14As were also supplied to Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution and some still remain in service today. This specific model kit depicts the F-14A Tomcat variant. The F-14A was the initial two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather interceptor fighter variant for the U.S. Navy. It first flew on December 21, 1970. As a U.S. Navy fighter it fulfilled the dual roles of long range interceptor and air superiority fighter, and later bomber. Deployed from 1974 to 2006, it successfully employed a "swing wing", which offered variable sweep. The F-14A, which covers most of the early variants, was the most prolifically-produced variant of the Tomcat. 79 were exported to Iran before U.S.-Iranian relations began to deteriorate, and later took part in the Iran-Iraq War. Features This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat. Fuselage length: 398mm, Maximum Wingspan: 408mm. Designed with access to real F-14A Tomcats for superlative accuracy. Features moving depiction of variable sweep wing. 2 sets of parts - interchangeable after completion - depict sealing plates and air bags with wing in fully swept and fully forward positions. Slide molding was used to ensure highly realistic canopy, air intake side and fuselage side sections. Poly caps allow movement of horizontal stabilizers. The model offers a choice of parts to depict open or closed engine afterburner nozzles. Separate parts are included to depict the fuel probe on the right of the nose, and the ladder on the left. Comes with two U.S. marking schemes and one for the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.
Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry Tank MkIII Valentine Mk II/IV Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry Tank MkIII Valentine Mk II/IV
TAMIYA
Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry ... $57.95
NEW 2017 TOOL The Infantry Tank Mk III, Valentine, was the most numerous British-built tank of the Second World War, with over 8,000 built between 1940 and 1944. It was a rare example of a private venture tank design that was accepted for mass production. Although it was produced in large numbers, the Valentine was too lightly armoured to act as a true infantry tank. Most Valentines had a two-man turret, which reduced its efficiency in combat and was slower than most cruiser tanks. The Valentine tank was reliable and popular, and for a period in the middle of the Second World War was the main British tank. The Valentine entered service in the UK after the fall of France. It entered service with the Army Tank Brigades, where it was used as an infantry tank. During 1941 the number of new armoured divisions was outstripping the availability of cruiser tanks. To fill the gap the Valentine was issued to several divisions, and by October 1941 the 6th, 8th and 11th Armoured Divisions were equipped with the type, with 900 on strength. The 11th Armoured Division was reequipped with cruiser tanks before going into combat, but the 6th and 8th used their Valentines in combat.

Tamiya 35248 1/35 German Sd... $43.95
In the summer of 1941, Germany's invasion of Russia was unfolding favorably for the Wehrmacht. However, German authorities began to notice the inferiority of their tanks and anti-tank weaponry to those of the Soviet army, such as the T34. To cope with this disparity they decided to: improve the Pz.Kpfw.III and Pz.Kpfw.IV tanks; develop new tanks; and increase production of the 7.5cm anti-tank cannon. Finally, as an interim solution, it was decided to improve captured Russian 7.62cm anti-tank cannons and deploy them for Wehrmacht use. These fearsome cannons could penetrate 83mm armor plating at a range of 1000m, but after improvement, could penetrate up to 122mm, and were renamed the 7.62cm Pak36(r) gun. Until the new tanks were ready for deployment, 7.62cm Pak36(r) guns were to be mounted on the chassis of obsolete Pz.Kpfw.II and Pz.Kpfw.38(t) tanks for the creation of a stopgap tank hunter.  Features 1/35 scale plastic assembly model kit based on the German Tank Destroyer Marder III. Overall length: 174mm Each detail of this fascinating fighting machine has been accurately reproduced for total modeling satisfaction. All the details of the fighting compartment (main gun plate, gun supports, ammunition rack, etc.) have been precisely recreated. Protective armor and sighting equipment moves with raising and lowering of main gun. Crew seats and large clamp for main gun can be modeled in the fighting or moving positions. Two crew figures are included in set. Five kinds of battlefield markings are included.
