The Yorktown's Faithful Protector The USS Hammann (DD412) was commissioned in August 1939, the fourth ship in the 1,500-ton Sims class of destroyers. Her hull had a raised sheer strake to protect from higher waves, while the use of a single funnel allowed a large area at the stern for her impressive ordnance. She was equipped with four 12.7cm guns, four single 12.7mm machine guns and eight torpedo tubes. After rescuing survivors of the stricken aircraft carrier USS Lexington in the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942, the Hammann screened another aircraft carrier, the USS Yorktown, in the Battle of Midway in June of that year. While attempting to salvage the Yorktown, which had been badly damaged by Japanese aircraft, she was torpedoed by the Japanese submarine I-168, and swiftly sank. She received two battle stars for her service in two major naval battles of WWII. Features 1/700 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 151mm. This model kit in 1/20 scale recreates the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr. 5 (originally sold as Item 20009 in 1978; not motorized this time) with new Cartograf decals, new slick tires, and instruction manual. The Toyota Celica LB Turbo was a Group 5 car developed for the 1977 DRM (German Racing Championship). Based upon the road car Celica Liftback, the car featured aerodynamic components such as bulging over fenders and rear wing and employed numerous FRP body panels. Tamiya 24363 1/24 Nissan Z (Fairlady Z) (RZ34) Nissan’s sports car, Fairlady Z (named “Nissan Z” in global market), whose North American specification was announced in August 2021 and Japanese specification in January 2022. The 7th generation features a design that pays homage to successive models with the main theme of “fusion of tradition and state-of-the-art technology”. Equipped with a 405-horsepower 3-liter V6 twin-turbo engine at the front, it combines a 6-speed MT or 9-speed AT transmission to drive the rear wheels. As a pure engine model, it attracted the attention of fans around the world. Features The sharp form of the 2-door fastback coupe has been faithfully reproduced. The outer panel of the body and roof is composed of separate parts. A Formidable Feline When it appeared in 1942, the Tiger I represented a significant evolution in German armor, with its heavy armor and 88mm gun. Tiger Is produced between November 1942 and June 1943 can be termed early production versions, and featured a tubular cupola and hull rear air cleaners. Mainly deployed in new heavily armored battalions, early production Tiger Is were largely powerful sent to the Eastern Front, where they enjoyed clear initiality. This model assembly kit recreates the Team Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR as it competed and won the 2020 MotoGP championship. With the name of Suzuki's hi-spec engine oil brand, ECSTAR, this bike featured a blue and silver scheme inspired by 1960s GP models, and was ridden by Joan Mir and Álex Rins. Mir stood on the podium seven times including a victory in the 13th European GP, and Rins secured third in the season with a win in the 11th Aragon GP. Suzuki celebrated 2020 as the centenary of its establishment, and 60 years since its first foray into motorcycle road racing with their first MotoGP championship. Constantly developed from its debut in 2015, the Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR '20 employed a 1,000cc, water-cooled 4-stroke inline-4 engine capable of 340km/h maximum speed, and aerodynamic form. Legendary Aircraft The deployment of the F-4 Phantom II started in the early 1960s and over 5,000 were manufactured during its production run. The F-4 Phantom II was operated by not only the Navy and Air Force in America, but also other countries on account of its long range and superlative loading capacity. In 1952, the Navy desired a supersonic aircraft and while the F-8 Crusader produced by the Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. was employed, the McDonnell Aircraft Corporation continued to develop a two-seater interceptor with powerful dual engines. This aircraft equipped four each of AIM-7E Sparrows and AIM-9G/H Sidewinders, and was officially adopted as the F4H-1 in December 1958 (which was later renamed the F-4A). The F-4B's production started in 1961 and its delivery began with the Fighter Squadron VF-74. In 1965, two F-4Bs shot down two North Vietnamese MiG-17 each, but the most enemy kills in the early stages of the Vietnam War were carried out by the F-8. However, from Operation Linebacker in 1972 onward, F-4 deployment increased and it was operated for air-to-ground strikes. After that, various kinds of F-4 aircraft were developed and some have even been in service with some countries for half a century. Features This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit. This historical model assembly kit depicts the German Pz.Kpfw.IV. It was a stalwart of the WWII effort, serving from start to finish of the conflict. Manufacture began in 1936 with the Ausf.A, and went through a number of specifications before what was perhaps the definitive short barreled variant started production in 1941: the Ausf. F. It had reinforced armour and updated hull designs, as well as an L/24 75mm gun. 470 Ausf.F Pz.Kpfw.IVs were manufactured between May 1941 and February 1942, mainly seeing action on the Eastern Front and in North Africa and taking on enemy armor such as the Soviet KV tanks and the British Matilda. Ready for Take-Off! The F-14 Tomcat is a legend of the skies, which served between 1973 and 2006 and - with powerful radar and long-range missiles - was developed for carrier-based units.
