Insta-Cure+ is a higher viscosity CA for loose fitting joints in which the adhesive must bridge gaps. Normally, the thicker CA is applied to one surface and then the parts are held tightly together for about 5 to 15 seconds. For large surface areas, including those with close fitting joints such as laminations, INSTA-CURE+ should also be used. To prevent premature curing, don’t spread the glue into a thin film. Lay down a serpentine bead with about 1" separations on one surface, then assemble the parts, letting the pressure spread the CA out. Mr. White Putty is a lacquer putty that is ideal for filling small gaps, sinks, pinholes, etc. It dries quickly and the hardened coating film has a smooth surface. It is recommended to apply it using a glue stick or Mr. Glue applicator. It also has a white color that prevents paint absorption as much as possible and has little effect on the top coat

Surfaces to be bonded must be tight fitting and should be held together while you apply the CA around the edges of the seam. At the moment CAs cure, they give off a vapor that can irritate the nose and eyes, so be prepared. Thin CAs work very well on balsa since they penetrate into the wood and form more than just a surface bond. When building a scale model, cotton swabs are often used with painting and applying decals. However, cotton swabs bought from supermarkets usually have loosely spun tips and quickly lose shape. These Craft Cotton Swabs have tightly spun cotton tips and are easy to use, making them much better suited for hobby use.Features These are industrial strength cotton swabs, and compared with those found in supermarkets, they do not fray as easily when wet or dipped in solvents, resulting in less wastage. Milliput Silver-Grey is one of the most well-known epoxy putty product for modelling. Silver-Grey has a finer structure than the Milliput Standard. The material works like the famous Green Stuff. Milliput consists of two components. Mixing these two components together by kneading for about 5 minutes will activate the material to slowly harden, it will be fully cured after about 3 hours. Keeping the putty cool, dry and airtight will keep it usable for about 2 years. Once fully cured, Milliput can be sawn, sanded, drilled, filed and painted. It is advisable to wear safety glasses when sanding and sawing. Milliput is, in addition to its pleasant use for modelling, also a perfect putty for connecting materials. It adheres effortlessly to wood, stone, cement, concrete, plastic and even glass, but it is not an adhesive in itself.
