Kit to build a single-arm GWR signal with choice of home or distant signal arms. TT gauge (1:120 scale)

Kit to build a GWR bracket signal with choice of signal arms. Bracket signals were used to place signals into a suitable place for clear observation by the drivers of approaching trains in two main locations. Locations where the signal post culd not be located directly alongside the line, for example at platform ends where passengers needed to pass the signal post to exit from the platform. The bracket allowed the signal to be sited alongside the appropriate line from a post set at the back of the platform. On the approach to junctions where two signals were carried by the same post with the bracket providing an offset location for a second signal arm, the arms applying to the left or right route as appropriate. The clearing of one arm indicated to the driver which route had been set for his train.

Kit to build a dual-arm GWR signal with choice of home or distant signal arms. Can be built as a signal with co-acting high and low level arms or a 'short section' signal with the distant for the next signal box below a home signal arm. Dual-armed signals were found in two roles. Co-acting arms were fitted in locations where visibility of the signal was interrupted, for example by a station canopy, so high and low level arms were fitted such that if one was obscured the other within the drivers' line of sight. In these instances the arms would be the same time (home or distant) and worked together. 'Short section' signals were often found at large stations where each end was controlled by a separate signal box. A distant signal worked from the box at the farther end of the station would be mounted below the home signal arm clearing trains to enter the station. Thus the driver of an approaching non-stopping train could be advised if the route is cleared to pass through the station without slowing, or if he should anticipate needing to stop at the far end of the platforms. The NEW Laser-Cut West Bay OO Station Building PECO is happy to present one of its new laser-cut station buildings, along with detailed interior that can be removed and re-inserted, to add lighting and other detail. This is a typical stone-built branch line station building, in this case based in West Bay in Dorset. The prototype was opened in 1984 as the new terminus of the extended Bridport railway, operated initially by the Great Western Railway and from 1948, British Railways Western region. It closed in 1962, but the building has been renovated and is now in use as a lounge bar and waiting room for a restaurant on adjoining carriages, called the Station Kitchen. This kit comes with some plastic components to complete the model and includes a full interior detail, which can be removed to add LED lighting should this be required.

The Peco LK-55 Well Type Turntable kit is an easily assembled kit which makes a model of a Ransome & Rapier well type turntable, as supplied to many railways around the world. The kit contains detailed plastic mouldings, rail and electrical contacts. As supplied the deck is simply rotated by hand, but could be easily mechanised or motorised if preferred. The kit has been designed to ensure the turntable rotates smoothly, moving parts are moulded in a special low-friction material. The central pivot moulding incorporates a hole that is a force fit for No. 8 Gauge Piano wire. (Equivalent sizes for SWG No. 8 would be 0.160in (4.064mm) diameter.) Suitable for use with Universal Code 100 and Fine Code 75 track - special adapter plates are included in the kit to suit the different rail heights.
