Africa Twin: Like No Other
During the late 1980s, Honda's NXR750 ruled the roost in the motorcycle section of the grueling Dakar Rally. Eager to share their success with the public, in 1988 Honda released a replica production model of the bike, named the XRV650. It was the first model given the now-legendary Africa Twin name, and its popularity across the world helped the expansion of the adventure-touring bike genre. While the Africa Twin name was to step back from the limelight for a period as sales halted early in the 2000s, it was never forgotten by afficionados of the genre, and when the it name was revived in 2015 in the form of the CRF1000L, it was cause for celebration. A semi-double cradle frame houses its 998cc, 92hp liquid-cooled 4-stroke parallel twin engine (Japan spec.), with a rugged off-road look provided by the capacious 18-liter fuel tank (Japan spec.) and twin headlights, plus 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. A 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission model is included in the varied model range. Technology such as a 'G' switch to aid clutch control, Honda Selectable Torque Control system and more are at the rider's disposal. The CRF1000L Africa Twin is a versatile motorcycle ready to take its rider anywhere, be that in an urban environment or the more rugged challenges presented by the great outdoors.
This large-scale motorcycle series model depicts the CRF1000L Africa Twin, Honda's modern adventure touring motorcycle inspired by their legendary 4-time Paris-Dakar champion off-road bike. The CRF1000L was released in 2015 and boasts a 998cc parallel-twin engine with a reported 92hp, plus an array of technology such as dual clutch transmission, selectable torque control for slippery surfaces, and ABS brakes. This assembly kit captures the bikes most minute detail in every way. It is sure to wow the most discerning model enthusiast at this very large scale!

In Desperate Defense
The Hien was officially adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) in 1943, and stood out among its Japanese aircraft contemporaries in the Pacific War on account of its liquid-cooled Ha-40 engine, slimline fuselage and long, elegant wing. A number of different variants were produced, among them the Ki-61-Id which featured a 20cm-elongated nose to house 20mm cannons, plus 12.7mm machine guns in the wing. In fact, with 1,360 units it was the most prolifically produced Hien variant; its superior performance at higher altitudes meant that it was often given the brief of taking on incoming U.S. B29 bombers in the skies around the home islands of Japan. One IJA unit which notably deployed the Hien was the 244th Air Group led by Captain Teruhiko Kobayashi.
Features
Fuselage length: 187mm, wingspan: 250mm.
The model accurately depicts the Ki-61-Id Type Hien with elongated nose and slim fuselage.

An Easy Ride
The U.S. M4 Sherman tank was undoubtedly one of the symbols of WWII, deployed in great quantities and numerous variants to counter the potent threat of German armor. One such variant was the M4A3E8, which was one of the final Sherman types and thus had the benefit of design improvements developed from experience in battle. These included a hardy welded late production hull, plus the welcome addition of the 76mm main gun. It was also fitted with new Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS), and wider tracks, making for the significantly more comfortable ride that led to the M4A3E8's nickname of "Easy Eight." They were thrown into their maiden operation in the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 as part of the 4th Armored Division under General Patton's overall command, contributing to the relief of the besieged town of Bastogne and the eventual triumph of the Allies in the European Theater.
This is an all-new kit designed by Tamiya’s top designers which recreates the "Easy Eight" variant of the legendary Sherman medium tank. The M4A3E8 was known fondly as the “Easy Eight” by its crews, thanks to the relatively smooth drive afforded by its Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS). Another distinguishing feature was its 76mm gun. Some of the 2,500 examples produced were in time to appear in the Battle of the Bulge (Dec. 1944-Jan. 1945), and others even served in the Korean War years after the Allied WWII triumph. Movie buffs will no doubt also recall that the "Easy Eight" was the star of the 2014 hit film "Fury."

Always on the Front Line
The Kagero was completed in November 1939, the lead ship of the Kagero class of destroyers that was the first constructed by the Japanese after their exit from the London Naval Treaty in 1937. The Kagero class packed a heavy punch with three twin 12.7cm gun placements and two 61cm quadruple torpedo tubes, and combined that with a top speed of 35 knots, plus a range of 5,000nmi at 18 knots. The Kagero took part in some of the most renowned actions on the seas in WWII, including the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, the Battle of Midway in 1942, and major assasults on Rabaul and Colombo. Although largely starved of opportunities to show what it could do, in the November 1942 Battle of Tassafaronga the Kagero used its Type 93 "long lance" torpedoes to great effect, together with eight other vessels scoring hits on the US ships Minneapolis, New Orleans, Pensacola and Northampton, crippling and eventually sinking the latter. Many of her sorties were otherwise made ferrying reinforcements and supplies to Japanese bases. She met her end in May 1943, sunk by mines in the Blackett Strait off of Kolombangara.

This is a 1/350 scale plastic model assembly kit recreating the Kagero, lead ship of the class named for her which fought on the front line for the Japanese Navy from the early stages of the Pacific War.

This thoroughbred late 1908s monster was developed for competition racing, namely the Group A touring car races that were considered the pinnacle of their era. It was loaded with cutting edge technology such as Nissan's original ATTESA E-TS variable torque-split 4-wheel drive train, and a SUPER HICAS 4-wheel steering system. For those who wanted to take its performance (and looks) to even greater heights, there was also a healthy market for customizing parts; principal among the suppliers were Nismo, Nissan's racing arm. Where It All Began - The First Panther
The Ausf.D was the debut variant of the famed German WWII tank Panther. It offered a complete performance package, with firepower from the imposing L/70 7.5cm gun, excellent protection afforded by its sloped armor, and maneuverability thanks to a roaring 700hp gasoline engine. Around 840 Ausf.D Panthers were produced between January and September of 1943, and the first time it appeared on the battlefield was in the Battle of Kursk in July of that year. While it wasn't all smooth sailing, Panthers were still able to take out some 140 Soviet tanks from a range of 1,500 to 2,000 meters, all the while protected impeccably by their sloped plate. The Ausf.D was followed by improved Ausf.A and G variants, and while the Panther was unable to stop the tide from turning against Germany it nonetheless revolutionized German armored vehicle design, and remained on the front line until the end of hostilities.

$24.95
The A6M3/3a Zero fighter (Model 22) was designed to correct some of the shortcomings of its A6M3 (Model 32) predecessor, which included reduced flight range. This entailed the Model 22 being given standard-length 12m wings and receiving a larger fuel tank, measures which were largely successful. A version was also produced with longer machine gun barrels. So, What's Our Next Move?
The Type 98 uniform was introduced in 1938, and worn as standard officer dress from the Second Sino-Japanese War through the Pacific War. It featured a stand and fall collar. While enlisted troops and non-commissioned officers were issued with uniform, officers were expected to ready their own. Officers were also required to use their own sword, which led to a plethora of different lengths, shapes, tsuba hand guards and so on. Some blades were kept in leather scabbards, while others used bound cloth grips. Privately-owned pistols were often carried.
This is a set of Japanese army officers and infantrymen. Parts are included to recreate soldier accessories and surrounding items for a highly realistic set that will add to any WWII Japanese diorama.

Tamiya Hotshot 2007 1/10 4W...
$285.95
This is a re-issued R/C assembly kit of the Hot Shot. It originally debuted in 1985 as Tamiya’s first 4WD off-road buggy.
An R/C Legend Returns
With its aggressive-looking body design and low center of gravity, the Hotshot, Tamiya's first shaft-driven 4WD R/C buggy, made waves when it was introduced in 1985. The unique 3-piece chassis included such innovative features as front/rear mono-shock oil dampers, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension equipped with stabilizers, and front/rear fully-enclosed gearboxes equipped with thrust ball bearings and differential gears. A wide array of Option Parts were produced especially for modifying the Hotshot, and the machine became something that every youth at that time dreamed of. Fans have clamored for a re-release of the epoch-making R/C car, and Tamiya now brings back this legend to let fans relive their childhood memories.
An Old Dog with New Tricks
Tamiya designers have given the Hotshot a makeover, replacing older, harder to assemble parts with modern equivalents but still keeping true to the spirit of the original Hotshot. While the front/rear double wishbone suspensions and adjustable mono-shock oil dampers remain the same, the drivetrain features modern dog bone type propeller shafts for enhanced reliability. The oil dampers have also been changed to the more modern diaphragm type. Also, with the use of a modern ESC, the original Hotshot's rear aluminum heat sink was no longer necessary. However, the Hotshot would not look the same without it, so our solution was to install a dummy part to remain faithful to the original look. Take this updated Hotshot out for a spin and compare it to today's R/C buggies to experience how far this hobby has developed!
