Tamiya 30057 1/35 WWI Briti... $118.95
A Game Changer During WWI, much of Western Europe was reduced to a massive battlefield criss-crossed by a seemingly unending network of trenches. The original British Mk.I tank was developed to break the deadlock; the Mk.IV was a later model based on many of the same design principle, and of which around 1,000 were produced starting in March 1917. A "Male" variant was developed to smash through enemy lines and in addition to machine guns it utilized large 6-pounder guns, in contrast to the separate Female variant equipped with only machine guns for armament. The Mk.IV saw a variety of action, including a mass deployment of around 400 at the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917, additionally prevailing in the world's first tank on tank battle with the German A7V in April 1918. Features This plastic model assembly kit accurately recreates the unique form of the British Mk.IV Male tank and is motorized to allow dynamic forward motion. 1/35 scale. Length: 230mm, width: 143mm. Moving link type assembly tracks make for realism and easy assembly. Comes with 3 marking options. Requires one R6/AA/UM3 battery (1.5V) (separately sold).

Tamiya 16025 1/6 Suzuki GSX... $135.95
This is a 1/6 scale plastic model assembly kit of the ground-breaking GSX1100S. One of the most famous motorcycle shows in the world, is held every two years in Cologne West Germany, and the 1980 show is sure to stand out as one of the most unforgettable. One reason was that Honda released their CX500 turbo for the first time, and the second is that Suzuki's GSX1100S "Katana" (Japanese for sword) was unveiled. The Honda CX500 attracted attention for its advanced engine techniques and the Katana for its advanced and aggressive body styling, which broke from common traditional motorcycle styling. Although the Katana GSX1100S styling impressed the many thousands of viewers, almost everybody thought that it was just for show and the production model would be quite different. During the summer of 1981, Suzuki released the production Katana with almost exactly the same body styling seen at the Cologne show, with subtle improvements in the engine and running gear. The body styling is from the genius of Mr. Hans A. Muth of West Germany, who spent much time ensuring driver comfort in his design, and which proved out in many wind tunnel tests. The entire styling was derived from research on the best drivers position, and the rearward placed backsteps and unique tank styling were not done just for the pleasing jet age appearance. Large capacity fuel tank and small fairing were blended together for the best airflow around the rider and the bike. Although the bike is most noticeable for its styling, every part in it is quality. Engine is an air-cooled, parallel 4 of 1075cc, using 16 valves. With the unique Suzuki TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) in the engine, it puts out 111 hp. This tremendous power transmits into a road speed of 230 k/h and its unique body styling deeps it stable even at these high speeds. Suzuki is shipping a 1000cc Katana GSX1000S tot he American market, and also a 750cc version to the European market as well. Requests from Japanese enthusiasts prompted Suzuki to also market a 750cc Katana GSX750S to their market. Features The sharp-edged form of the legendary bike is captured with great accuracy. Front fork includes metal parts with a beautiful surface finish, plus inbuilt coil springs. A sumptuous rendering of the DOHC 4-cylinder engine features metal plated parts aplenty, with recreations of details such as carburetor. Utilizes a sprung, die-cast side stand.

America's Last King of the Sea Commissioned in February 1943, the USS Iowa served briefly in the Atlantic before departing for the Pacific Theater in January 1944. She served mainly to support carrier based air strikes against Japanese-held islands, protecting said carriers and shelling enemy shore and naval positions. She took part in the Marianas campaign and the Battle of Leyte Gulf, although she missed a chance for a showdown with the Japanese battleship Yamato. After assisting the assault on the Philippines, Iowa took part in the Okinawa invasion as well as supporting air strikes on Kyushu. Together with sister ships USS Missouri and USS Wisconsin, Iowa bombarded industrial cities on the Japanese homeland towards the end of the war. Features Highly detailed 1/700 scale assembly model of the USS Iowa. Model depicts Iowa as she appeared during the Marianas Campaign in 1944. Model accurately captures differences with the USS Missouri such as open bridge, bow, observation deck, radar antenna and 20mm guns on top of Number 2 turret. Tamiya 35335 1/35 German Se... $81.95
8.8cm of Destructive Power The self-propelled heavy anti-tank gun Nashorn packed a formidable punch courtesy of a mammoth 71-caliber 8.8cm Pak43/1 gun which was one of the largest on the battlefield in WWII. The vehicle was developed in all possible haste after the German Army had the unexpected surprise of meeting such overpowering opponents as the T34 and KV-1 upon its invasion of the Soviet Union. The recently-developed III/IV vehicle was used as a base for the Pak43/1 gun, which was capable of destroying enemy tanks from great distance. Top road speed was 42km/h thanks to its relatively light weight of 24 tons. While deployment started in July 1943 under the moniker of Hornisse, it was given the new Nashorn designation from January of the next year, reportedly at the command of Hitler. 439 units were produced up to March 1945, and they served on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, providing heavy firepower for German forces. This is a highly detailed model of the WWII German tank destroyer Nashorn. The full size vehicle featured an 8.8cm gun also known as a PAK 43 and it was fitted to the upper surface of a light turret less chassis. Even though the vehicle was lightly armored, the PAK43 weapon was capable of penetrating 190mm of armor at 1,000 meters. The Nashorn saw action with German heavy antitank battalions fighting Soviet and Allied forces during much of the conflict. Due to its relatively low cost and superior mobility compared to heavier tanks it remained in production until the end of WWII war. Features This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 241mm, Width: 84mm. Extensive research and study of actual vehicles led to this accurate recreation of the imposing form of the Nashorn with long 8.8cm main gun. Features of post-May 1943 vehicles such as late production gun travel lock, muffler-less exhaust pipes and more are faithfully depicted. Metal parts are used to allow realistic elevation and depression of the main gun. Belt-type tracks. 4 figures in winter uniform are included, and can be placed in the large fighting compartment to add a further air of authenticity to the model. Comes with 3 marking options, including Eastern Front vehicle markings.

Tamiya 35330 1/35 U.S. 6x6 ... $45.95
At Home Off of the Beaten Track Originally commissioned in 1966 as an off-road, amphibious vehicle, the M561 Gama Goat was a 6-wheel drive truck consisting of a 4-wheel tractor and a 2-wheel carrier module. What really set it apart from other vehicles of its type, however, was its employment of an articulation joint between the two modules that allowed them to move independently of one another: a most useful skill when traversing rough terrain. 14,000 Gama Goats produced up to 1973 were used in a variety of roles by both the US Army and Marine Corps, and were deployed in the fighting in Grenada in 1983, although by the start of the 1990s the Gama Goat had been largely phased out. The former half of its unusual nickname came from Roger Gamaunt, designer of the key articulation joint, and the latter half from its tenacious goat-like climbing ability. Features 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the M561 Gama Goat. Length: 170mm, Width: 62mm. The model accurately captures the unique and powerful 2-module form of the M561. Articulation joint is recreated using a poly cap and provides authentic movement. Includes optional front windscreen and winch parts. Realistic representation of the complex 6-wheel suspension is achieved with uncomplicated assembly. Comes with 1 figure and 3 marking options.
