Since the first units were acquired in 2016, the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF)'s Type 16 has seen deployment across the Japanese archipelago. This eight-wheeled vehicle is capable of an impressive 100km/h and sports a rifled 105mm gun offering superior accuracy, and is intended to serve in the JGSDF's rapid deployment units. Feedback from units operating the Type 16 has been incorporated in its continuous evolution, in the case of C5 vehicles (those purchased in the 2020 fiscal year budget) resulting in a turret-rear air conditioning unit (carried over from the C4 design). Some C5 Type 16s were even given winches to aid in recovery of knocked-out vehicles on the field.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length; 248mm, width: 85mm.
The model faithfully captures the powerful Type 16 form with eight large tires and 105mm rifled gun, based upon extensive research.
It features renderings of C5 model features such as the turret-rear air conditioning unit, cleaning rod case, turret-top rails, antenna guard and more.
Choose whether to recreate a Type 16 with winch or one without.
Winch-fitted models will use the included string to depict the winch cable that stretches over the hull from the rear to the front.
The steerable four front wheels move in tandem.
Also included are commander and loader torso figures, plus a full-body crew member.
The kit comes with two marking options included.

An Ambitious Design
The F-35® Lightning II is an ambitious project that aims to provide - in a single overarching design - aircraft tailored to three different services' distinct needs; that it does in the form of the F-35A (for the Air Force), F-35B (Marines) and F-35C (Navy). Perhaps the most stunning of the three is the innovative F-35B, which was designed to succeed the AV-8B Harrier II, and is a short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) aircraft thanks to a lift fan installed between the cockpit and the engine, plus the 3 Bearing Swivel Module mechanism. Rather impressively, it also manages to combine extremely low observability characteristics with exemplary situational awareness provided by the numerous sensors across the aircraft. The F-35B is expected to serve mainly from aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships; as of 2023, the British Royal Navy and the Italian Navy have started deployment, and the Japan Air Self Defense Force also expects to see F-35Bs with its units from 2024.

Tank Trumper!The German Jagdpanther is regarded by ordnance experts as one of the best tracked weapons systems used in World War II. Earlier German tank destroyers like the Nashorn and Ferdinand (Elefant) were powerful, but faced limitations in mobility and defensive ability that would be addressed in the design of this new vehicle. The awesome Pak43/3, L71 88mm gun was mounted on a Panther tank chassis, installed in a box shaped superstructure protected by inclined steel armor plates 80mm thick at front and 50mm at the sides. A ball mounted MG42 bow machine gun was installed at the right side of the main gun to further improve defenses. Weighing in at 46 tons and propelled by the powerful Maybach V12 cylinder engine, this tank destroyer possessed a good balance of fire power, protection and mobility.Features

This model joins the Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw.IV and Panther G as the latest German battle tank to arrive in the compact and detailed 1/48 scale. The Ausf. L version of the German main battle tank Pz.Kpfw. III was produced from July 1942, and possessed basic structure and performance specifications similar to previous versions. Armament consisted of an improved, long barreled Kwk50 L/60 tank gun, which was effective against Russian T34 tanks up to a range of 600m, plus two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns.Front armor thickness was increased to 57mm, and 20mm thick spaced armor was added to the gun mantlet as well. The suspension system was strengthened to cope with the 200kg of added weight. In total 635 Ausf. Ls were produced by the end of 1942, most seeing active service on the Eastern and North African Fronts.Features

At the core of these units were squads consisting of no more than twelve soldiers. Each squad included a Sergeant ranked squad leader, a Corporal ranked assistant squad leader, a machine gunner and riflemen. The most recognizable uniform worn by U.S. troops during WWII was the M1941 field jacket, based on a civilian jacket design, and the M1943 field jacket (modified version of the M1941). Featuring four large pockets, the M1943 was developed in order to standardize military uniform and was supplied to soldiers from late 1943. However, due to production delays, the M1941 continued to be used widely by many troops. Troops in winter made use of overcoats and mackinaw coats derived from civilian items, as well as mufflers, gloves and the like. In 1944, the end of WWII, the German Army tried to improve fire power of the German Tank Panzerkampfwagen, and the German Panzer IV/70(A) developed based on this plan. To shorten its development cycle as much as possible, the hull was based upon the German Tank Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. J, which was under production at that moment, combined with the fixed fighting compartment with L/70 7.5cm long barrel gun of the IV/70(V) Lang. The Panzer IV/70(A) also featured stiff wire mesh panels called Thoma Schürzen. Around 280 produced in total and it saw service in both Eastern and Western Fronts.
Tamiya has faithfully captured the German Panzer IV/70(A) in every detail! It comes in 1/35 scale and is sure to attract military history aficionados and modelers alike around the world!
