Behold the Wooden Wonder in Stunning 1/32!
Drawn up as a high speed, unarmed bomber, the twin engine De Havilland Mosquito fulfilled that role and so many more for the RAF and other Allied air forces during WWII, taking advantage of performance so astonishing it earned the aircraft its nickname: Wooden Wonder. (That, and the fact it was made largely of wood, in contrast to most of its contemporaries.) The FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber variant, which first appeared in the skies in Spring 1943, packed a punch with four 7.7mm nose-mounted machine guns and four powerful 20mm auto-cannons, plus the ability to carry four 500lb bombs. With around 2,700 produced it was the most prolifically manufactured Mosquito variant, and this high performance, multi-role aircraft was relied on to attack sensitive enemy targets such as SS facilities, V1 flying bomb sites, and munitions factories, taking advantage of its precision low-altitude bombing skills.

Customizing is the Name of the Game
The hard-top version of the Skyline 2000GT-R was released in 1970 and packed a serious punch with a detuned version of the inline-6 engine seen on the Nissan R380 prototype racing car. The "hakosuka", as it is affectionately known in Japan, is still a Japanese racing legend today, thanks to an incredible 50 total wins achieved in partnership with the 1969 4-door sedan GT-R. Now, it makes an appearance as a production model of the car with parts depicting popular customizations from its day, as well as a realistic driver figure.

A Big Step on the Path to Greatness
With a highly complex P&W R-2800 engine generating 2,000hp, a 4-meter propeller and striking gull wings, the Corsair was certainly a memorable aircraft; it was effective, too, and was one of the mainstays of the U.S. Navy. The F4U-1A variant was assigned to units from Summer 1943, and featured upgrades such as a semi-bubble canopy (to improve previously limited visibility), plus the ability to carry bombs of up to 1,000lb. It saw a large amount of action in fighting with the Japanese Navy around the Solomon Islands; the Corsair continued to serve through the Korean War in the guise of further variants, the bomber capability pioneered by the F4U-1A proving a most effective addition to the aircraft's inherent ability.

Tamiya's Maiden WWI Figure Set
British infantry in WWI were issued with Pattern 1902 uniform and Pattern 1908 webbing to be worn over the top. Both were manufactured in khaki for camouflage reasons. On their lower legs, infantrymen wore puttees and officers leggings. From the middle of the conflict, steel helmets were distributed and often had canvas covers to reduce reflection.
