Tamiya 14129 1/12 Ducati 11... $64.95
Ushering in the Future Introduced to the world at the Milan Motor Show in 2011, the 1199 Panigale was developed around a monocoque rather than Ducati's traditional trellis-frame. It makes liberal use of famed Italian manufacturer Ducati's race experience and extracts 195hp out of a 1198cc liquid-cooled L-Twin engine. In an inventive twist, the engine itself is part of the bike's frame, and connected directly to the airbox/monocoque, swing arm and seat rail. The result is a lightweight and extremely durable vehicle. A wealth of electronic components helps to control engine output, suspension characteristics and more. The bike's sleek design has won it plaudits and awards from around the world. About the Model Length: 173mm. Kit depicts the bike in Italian version. The construction of the model allows appreciation of the inventive structure of the bike, with engine integrated into the monocoque frame and directly connected to the swing arm, damper unit and so on. Distinctive cowling shapes are accurately reproduced. Side cowlings are attached with small screws and can be removed even after assembly is complete. Features metal damper coil spring on the bike's left side. Tire tread pattern is faithfully depicted. Metal transfers recreate mirror surfaces. Features moving kickstand, and separate racing stand parts.

Tamiya 14084 1/12 Kawasaki ... $38.95
Kawasaki's legacy of cutting-edge sportbikes has inspired motorcycle fans for generations. Recently, the call for 300km/h plus super sports bikes has motivated several manufactures to bring out powerful contenders. Kawasaki answered the call at the 1999 Paris Motorcycle Show, with the impressive debut of their all-new Ninja ZX-12R. This Ninja was reportedly created in the image of a fighter plane, which comes as no surprise considering that its slippery aerodynamics involved the cooperation of the Aerospace Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. In fact, the ZX-12R spent more time in the wind tunnel during its development phase than any motorcycle in Kawasaki's history. The results are evident: small winglets on the sides of the fairing separate airflow around the bike; small wind deflectors on the lower forks deflect turbulent air from the engine; a long lip on the edge of the fairing further smoothens out airflow. Also, projecting just ahead of the front fairing, a large scoop takes advantage of higher air pressure, heightening intake efficiency. A monocoque frame backbone creates an airbox that allows air to pass through the inside of the bike for cooling in addition to ensuring overall rigidity. The powerplant of the Ninja ZX-12R is a fuel injected 4-cylinder 1,199cc engine that pumps out an abundant 178hp. Its four-into-two-into-one exhaust system features a titanium muffler paired with a catalyzer, which helps eliminate unburned hydrocarbons for cleaner emissions. Kawasaki brilliantly raised the superbike standard in performance, power and aerodynamics with their series flagship, the Ninja ZX-12R. Fairing Recreated with Semi-transparent Parts As a special feature for this model, semi-transparent green parts have been used for the fairing, offering a fascinating look at the aluminum monocoque frame and detailed engine, even after completion of the model. This is a great chance to see the inner workings of Kawasaki's latest masterpiece! UnpaintedAlso, the brake lights come as semi-transparent red parts and the turning signals come as semi-transparent orange parts. These colors perfectly match those of the full-size bike. Finally, metal stickers have been used for the rear-view mirrors and front forks, providing a high-quality appearance even without painting! Features Scale: 1/12, overall length: 173mm, overall width: 70mm, overall height: 101mm. Authentic recreation of monocoque frame, 4-cylinder engine, suspension, etc. Semi-transparent green parts used for fairing, which features side wings. Easy to remove, tiny screws used for attachment of fairing. Muffler glistens with chrome plated parts. Solid rubber tires feature authentic tread pattern.

Tamiya 60784 1/72 Mitsubish... $25.95
Produced from Autumn 1942, the Model 32 Zero fighter followed the Model 21 in being used in the conflict in the Pacific Theater. It featured a Sakae 21 engine fitted with two superchargers, and its calling card was a main wing shortened by 50cm on either side and given a squared-off finish. It was the superior of the Model 21 in terms of top speed, climb rate and roll, and thanks to its appearance even (mistakenly) received a different nickname of "Hamp". Features This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the A3M3 Zero Model 32. Fuselage length: 126mm, Wingspan: 153mm. Its squared-off wing-tips were unique among Zero fighters, and that form is accurately reproduced by the model. Engine cowling and other unique Model 32-design parts are also faithfully replicated. Features excellent replications of cockpit interior and landing gear bays. Includes separate parts to depict open or closed canopy. 3 sets of marking options included. Accurate depiction includes Model 32's unique fuselage, wing, engine cowl forms and more! The characteristic squared-off wing tips were an effort to improve speed and roll capabilities. The Sakae 21 engine is accurately recreated in all its glory, including the complex front gear casing. Assembly of the detailed cockpit interior is based upon the parts make-up of the real thing. Choose between an open or closed canopy depending upon how you wish to display the model.

Tamiya 24065 1/24 Porsche 959 $31.95
The Porsche 959 was first unveiled at the 1983 Frankfurt auto show as a study for a full time 4 wheel drive Group B super sports car. Back then, the automobile was still far from being completed and its potential a mystery. The 959's awesome capabilities matured through thorough research and competition experience with the automobile. It demonstrated its outstanding abilities during the grueling Paris-Dakar Rally, and the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race. Porsche has taken their race car technology and put it into the 959, to produce a car that provides every comfort, with smooth running and the low interior noise expected of a road car, while offering high safety reserves. Thus the 959, despite its massive 450hp engine power, can be drive easily at its lower RPM ranges. The 2848cc engine is a descendent of the famous 956 and 962 Porsche Group C racer. It is an air/liquid cooled, flat 6 cylinder, DOHC equipped with two turbochargers, providing a top speed of more than 300km/h. The 959 maintains superb acceleration under all driving conditions, yet it also achieves short braking distances that prove to be a reassuring factor for all classes of drivers. The hollow wheel spokes increase air volume to the brakes and accommodate the fat, low profile Dunlop Denloc tires, and is equipped with a pressure sensor to detect punctures. The Porsche 959 is the car that raised the standard of sports car thinking to a new plateau, by exceeding every known yardstick of handling and performance.

TAMIYA
Tamiya 60324 1/32 Vought F4... $193.99
A Unique Aircraft The Corsair was originally developed by the American company Vought in response to a February 1938 request for proposal for a carrier fighter aircraft by the U.S. Navy. Designed to surpass even land-based fighters, it featured a 2,000hp engine and massive 4-meter propeller and - most memorably - a unique inverted gull wing. This first version of the Corsair (which means "pirate") was given the nickname "birdcage" due to the large frame sections used in the canopy structure. Thrown into front line action from February 1943 onwards, the aircraft took part in the U.S. military's counter-offensive which was based in the Solomon Islands; it was mainly used by the U.S. Marine Corps and used an advantage in speed and armor over the Japanese Zero fighter to prove a valuable weapon in the arsenal of the U.S. military. Features Plastic model assembly kit of the F4U-1 Corsair. 1/32 scale. Fuselage length: 318mm, Wingspan: 390mm. Features faithful recreations of fuselage, unique inverted gull wing and large propeller, and more. Inverted gull wing can be assembled in folded or extended position as the modeler chooses; details on the inside of the fold joint are also captured accurately. Choose between up or down elevators and flaps. Two-part engine cowls can be removed from the model, even after completion. Select retracted or deployed main landing gears and tail wheel. Includes two figures depicting the pilot, one seated and one standing. Comes with 3 sets of markings to depict U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps aircraft. The set includes a full-color, 12-page booklet detailing the history of the Corsair line of aircraft.

Tamiya 32574 1/48 German 8 ... $28.95
The Eyes of the German Army During the first half of WWII, German reconnaissance units relied greatly on the Sd.Kfz.231 series heavy armored car. It also came armed with a KwK30 20mm cannon and an MG34 machine gun mounted on its turret. The 8-wheel drive Sd.Kfz.232 had an on-road top speed of 90km/h, and a rear driving position to facilitate swift escape from threatening situations. Its most identifiable point was a large frame-type antenna mounted on the body. These 8-wheeled armored cars were deployed to armored reconnaissance battalions of Panzer divisions and served as the eyes of the German army from Europe and North Africa to the Russian front. Features 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the German 8-Wheeled Heavy Armored Car Sd.Kfz.232. Length: 140mm, width: 50mm. The model accurately captures the original vehicle's angular form and large frame antenna. The frame antenna is attached to the pivot on top of the turret. For ease of construction, the complex suspension is recreated using a small number of parts. Includes torso figure of commander scouting the area ahead of the model, and 2 marking options. The then-cutting edge sloped armor has been precisely recreated in a compact 1/48 scale. The complex 8-wheel drive, independent 8-wheel suspension is replicated using a small number of parts, but without sacrificing Tamiya's trademark accuracy.
