Tamiya's French tank model kits have become well known for their unique subject matter and superb historical accuracy. This kit recreates the R35. It was originally designed as a successor to the late-WWI Renault FT, and inherited its 37mm gun, paired with a cast turret and three-piece bolted cast hull. Around 1,500 were manufactured after its official adoption in 1935; they were one of the main pillars of the French attempt to resist the German onslaught during the Fall of France in May/June 1940. Features 1/35 scale plastic model kit. Length: 114mm, width: 55mm. The 37mm gun offers elevation and (as on the actual R35) 5 degrees of traverse to either side. Assembly type tracks allow fuss-free depiction of upper run sag. They feature one-piece straight sections. Comes with two marking options, and a figure perched on the hatch in the turret rear. Color painting guide included which aids with recreation of the intricate French camouflage pattern.

Nice little 1/72 scale kit of the infamous Fw190A-3. Fine engraved panel lines. Basic cockpit detail with well executed instrument panel. Markings included for three different machines - 8/JG2 based in France during 1942 (see box art), III/JG2 flown by Commander Hptm. Hans Hahn in France 1942 and Stab./JG26 flown by Hptm. This is a plastic assembly kit of a member of the Ground Self-Defense Force reconnaissance corpsman and his motorcycle as well as a tank crewman (total 2 figures). Features of the motorcycle including the engine area, wheel spokes, and light guard have been realistically reproduced. In addition, the reconnaissance corpsman comes depicted with various kinds of equipment including a Howa Type 89 assault rifle, a bayonet, a flashlight, a type 85 radio, and binoculars. The tank crewman is featured in a standing position with a map in one hand and is pointing, giving directions to his fellow soldier.

Simulating Zimmerit on military models using putty enhances the model"s presence but at the same time it requires advanced skills and is time consuming. These Zimmerit stickers enable easy reproduction of Zimmerit on Item 35181 German Panzer IV Ausf.J. By using this sticker set it will allow novice modelers a way to add Zimmerit to their models without the stress of using a two-part putty.

During the first half of the Second World War, the Messerschmitt Bf109 E was the main fighter of the German airforce. The E-4 housed a 1,100hp Daimler Benz DB 601Aa engine and was armed with two 7.92mm machine guns on the nose, as well as a 20mm cannon on each wing. For some aircraft, bullet-proof glass was used to reinforce the front of the canopy. In addition, a 20mm canon, which ran through a tube in the propeller was supposed to be installed but was unsuccessful. Displaying superb acceleration and diving ability, the E-type planes overpowered the RAF's Hawker hurricane and equaled the Spitfire fighters in the Battle of Britain. However, with a flight range of only 560km, the E-4 planes were limited to just fifteen minutes of combat over British skies. Thus, the bombers were not given sufficient support and sustained heavy damage. As a result, the Luftwaffe's strategy to bomb England into surrender ended in failure. To deal with this drawback, the E-4 planes were equipped with additional 300L fuel tank. These improved fighters, called E-7, were first deployed at the end of 1940. After the Battle of Britain, the E-4/7 planes were sent to the front lines of Northern Africa. As the Bf109 F-type fighter's production was advanced, the E-4/7 was retired from the front lines. However, some veteran pilots continued to use the E-4/7 mainly for ground support duty until the summer of 1942. Development of the Space Shuttle began in 1972, and the craft designed to connect the earth to outer space enjoyed a 30-year career between its first successful test flight in 1981 and its retirement in 2011. It was a truly multi-mission craft, over its 135 launches taking modules to the International Space Station, releasing satellites, and even hosting experiments in its onboard lab. Workhorse As a part of its motorization from the years leading up to WWII, the German military took on the SS-100 - a heavy tractor based upon a commercially-developed agricultural vehicle. It was a workhose with a towing capacity of 20 tons, thanks to its highly reliable 6-cylinder water-cooled engine.
