Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry Tank MkIII Valentine Mk II/IV Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry Tank MkIII Valentine Mk II/IV
TAMIYA
Tamiya 35352 1/35 Infantry ... $55.95
NEW 2017 TOOL The Infantry Tank Mk III, Valentine, was the most numerous British-built tank of the Second World War, with over 8,000 built between 1940 and 1944. It was a rare example of a private venture tank design that was accepted for mass production. Although it was produced in large numbers, the Valentine was too lightly armoured to act as a true infantry tank. Most Valentines had a two-man turret, which reduced its efficiency in combat and was slower than most cruiser tanks. The Valentine tank was reliable and popular, and for a period in the middle of the Second World War was the main British tank. The Valentine entered service in the UK after the fall of France. It entered service with the Army Tank Brigades, where it was used as an infantry tank. During 1941 the number of new armoured divisions was outstripping the availability of cruiser tanks. To fill the gap the Valentine was issued to several divisions, and by October 1941 the 6th, 8th and 11th Armoured Divisions were equipped with the type, with 900 on strength. The 11th Armoured Division was reequipped with cruiser tanks before going into combat, but the 6th and 8th used their Valentines in combat.

Tamiya 35248 1/35 German Sd... $43.95
In the summer of 1941, Germany's invasion of Russia was unfolding favorably for the Wehrmacht. However, German authorities began to notice the inferiority of their tanks and anti-tank weaponry to those of the Soviet army, such as the T34. To cope with this disparity they decided to: improve the Pz.Kpfw.III and Pz.Kpfw.IV tanks; develop new tanks; and increase production of the 7.5cm anti-tank cannon. Finally, as an interim solution, it was decided to improve captured Russian 7.62cm anti-tank cannons and deploy them for Wehrmacht use. These fearsome cannons could penetrate 83mm armor plating at a range of 1000m, but after improvement, could penetrate up to 122mm, and were renamed the 7.62cm Pak36(r) gun. Until the new tanks were ready for deployment, 7.62cm Pak36(r) guns were to be mounted on the chassis of obsolete Pz.Kpfw.II and Pz.Kpfw.38(t) tanks for the creation of a stopgap tank hunter.  Features 1/35 scale plastic assembly model kit based on the German Tank Destroyer Marder III. Overall length: 174mm Each detail of this fascinating fighting machine has been accurately reproduced for total modeling satisfaction. All the details of the fighting compartment (main gun plate, gun supports, ammunition rack, etc.) have been precisely recreated. Protective armor and sighting equipment moves with raising and lowering of main gun. Crew seats and large clamp for main gun can be modeled in the fighting or moving positions. Two crew figures are included in set. Five kinds of battlefield markings are included.

Tamiya 24340 1/24 Honda S600 $53.95
Honda's Chain-Driven RoadsterWhile Honda first gained worldwide acclaim for their motorcycles, they were also quick to branch out into manufacturing vehicles of the 4-wheeled kind. The Tokyo Motor Show in 1962 was the stage that they chose to debut their S500 roadster, which was quickly followed up in 1964 by a 606cc engine successor - the S600. That 606cc, 57hp unit was a 4-cylinder DOHC powerplant which bore close comparison even with racing engines of its day, and Honda took the creative approach of transmitting its power to the rear wheels of the car via chain drive units. A popular export to Europe and a familiar face on the racing circuit in Japan, the S600 is a vital piece of Japanese sports car heritage and a great addition to the Tamiya line-up. Features This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 136mm, Width: 60mm. The high-performance 4-cylinder DOHC engine is captured in great detail, including the four carburetors and exhaust manifold. It can be appreciated at any time thanks to the opening hood parts. The rear of the car features depictions of the chain drive units. Suspension, tubing and other details are realistically rendered. Metal-plated parts make authentically depict bumpers, side mirrors and front grille. Solid synthetic rubber tires. Can be assembled as an open-top or closed hard-top.

Tamiya 60326 1/32 De Havill... $319.95
Behold the Wooden Wonder in Stunning 1/32! Drawn up as a high speed, unarmed bomber, the twin engine De Havilland Mosquito fulfilled that role and so many more for the RAF and other Allied air forces during WWII, taking advantage of performance so astonishing it earned the aircraft its nickname: Wooden Wonder. (That, and the fact it was made largely of wood, in contrast to most of its contemporaries.) The FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber variant, which first appeared in the skies in Spring 1943, packed a punch with four 7.7mm nose-mounted machine guns and four powerful 20mm auto-cannons, plus the ability to carry four 500lb bombs. With around 2,700 produced it was the most prolifically manufactured Mosquito variant, and this high performance, multi-role aircraft was relied on to attack sensitive enemy targets such as SS facilities, V1 flying bomb sites, and munitions factories, taking advantage of its precision low-altitude bombing skills. Features This is a 1/32 scale plastic model assembly kit. Fuselage length: 394.5mm, wingspan: 515.5mm. The graceful, elegant lines of the Mosquito FB Mk.VI are captured with stunning accuracy. Rivets are expertly depicted on parts such as engine cowlings and ailerons. Flaps and elevators can be assembled in neutral or down positions. Choose between standard exhausts or those fitted with flame damper covers, plus standard or tropical filter engine cowling undersides. Two different types of propeller blade parts are included. Fit wing undersurfaces with 500lb bombs or drop tanks.

Ushering in the Future Introduced to the world at the Milan Motor Show in 2011, the 1199 Panigale was developed around a monocoque rather than Ducati's traditional trellis-frame. It makes liberal use of famed Italian manufacturer Ducati's race experience and extracts 195hp out of a 1198cc liquid-cooled L-Twin engine. In an inventive twist, the engine itself is part of the bike's frame, and connected directly to the airbox/monocoque, swing arm and seat rail. The result is a lightweight and extremely durable vehicle. A wealth of electronic components helps to control engine output, suspension characteristics and more. The bike's sleek design has won it plaudits and awards from around the world. About the Model Length: 173mm. Kit depicts the bike in Italian version. Produced from Autumn 1942, the Model 32 Zero fighter followed the Model 21 in being used in the conflict in the Pacific Theater. It featured a Sakae 21 engine fitted with two superchargers, and its calling card was a main wing shortened by 50cm on either side and given a squared-off finish. It was the superior of the Model 21 in terms of top speed, climb rate and roll, and thanks to its appearance even (mistakenly) received a different nickname of "Hamp". Features This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the A3M3 Zero Model 32. Fuselage length: 126mm, Wingspan: 153mm. Its squared-off wing-tips were unique among Zero fighters, and that form is accurately reproduced by the model. Engine cowling and other unique Model 32-design parts are also faithfully replicated. TAMIYA
Tamiya 60324 1/32 Vought F4... $193.99
A Unique Aircraft The Corsair was originally developed by the American company Vought in response to a February 1938 request for proposal for a carrier fighter aircraft by the U.S. Navy. Designed to surpass even land-based fighters, it featured a 2,000hp engine and massive 4-meter propeller and - most memorably - a unique inverted gull wing. This first version of the Corsair (which means "pirate") was given the nickname "birdcage" due to the large frame sections used in the canopy structure. Thrown into front line action from February 1943 onwards, the aircraft took part in the U.S. military's counter-offensive which was based in the Solomon Islands; it was mainly used by the U.S. Marine Corps and used an advantage in speed and armor over the Japanese Zero fighter to prove a valuable weapon in the arsenal of the U.S. military. Features Plastic model assembly kit of the F4U-1 Corsair. 1/32 scale. Fuselage length: 318mm, Wingspan: 390mm. Features faithful recreations of fuselage, unique inverted gull wing and large propeller, and more. Tamiya 32574 1/48 German 8 ... $29.95
The Eyes of the German Army During the first half of WWII, German reconnaissance units relied greatly on the Sd.Kfz.231 series heavy armored car. It also came armed with a KwK30 20mm cannon and an MG34 machine gun mounted on its turret. The 8-wheel drive Sd.Kfz.232 had an on-road top speed of 90km/h, and a rear driving position to facilitate swift escape from threatening situations. Its most identifiable point was a large frame-type antenna mounted on the body. These 8-wheeled armored cars were deployed to armored reconnaissance battalions of Panzer divisions and served as the eyes of the German army from Europe and North Africa to the Russian front. Features 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the German 8-Wheeled Heavy Armored Car Sd.Kfz.232. Length: 140mm, width: 50mm. The model accurately captures the original vehicle's angular form and large frame antenna. The frame antenna is attached to the pivot on top of the turret. For ease of construction, the complex suspension is recreated using a small number of parts. Includes torso figure of commander scouting the area ahead of the model, and 2 marking options. The then-cutting edge sloped armor has been precisely recreated in a compact 1/48 scale. The complex 8-wheel drive, independent 8-wheel suspension is replicated using a small number of parts, but without sacrificing Tamiya's trademark accuracy.

Tamiya 14101 1/12 Ducati De... $51.95
Desmosedici is a compound word made from the Italian for sixteen, "sedici" and the name of Ducati's trademark desmodromic valve design. The DOHC 16 V4 engine is composed of two 90 degree L twin components held together in a tubular steel truss-frame, with swing arm and rear shock pivots directly attached to engine in a truly original fashion. The sleek and powerful bike was piloted in its debut 2003 MotoGP season by L. Capirossi, former 125 and 250cc class title holder, and World Superbike Champion T. Bayliss. The GP4 really showed its stuff during its 2003 debut season, taking 3rd place at Suzuka and winning 1st at Catalunya. Maintaining the same basic structure in 2004, Ducati brushed up everything from the engine to the body to make an even higher performance superbike. While the Desmosedici GP4 had a difficult first half of the season, it began to show results towards the end, with L. Capirossi winning 3rd place in round 15. T. Bayliss also took 3rd in the final round, ending Ducati's season on a high-note, and promising further excitement still to come!

Tamiya 14121 1/12 Honda NSR... $69.95
Never Satisfied! Despite having taken the 1983 500cc Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Riders' Championship (their first since 1967) on the 2-stroke V3 engine NS500, Honda were not satisfied with their motor and felt that more power would be required. Thus, the Japanese motorcycle giant came up with a single-crankshaft V4 design engine which was used in their 1984 entry. It featured a unique aluminum frame to house the engine and a radical layout in which the expansion chambers and the fuel tank were positioned above and below the engine respectively. The bike would go on to compete in road races over the next 19 years, and now appears as a 1/12 scale model in the Tamiya line-up. During the 1983 World Grand Prix season, Honda took the championship with the NS500 but it was clear that the power from the 2-stroke V3 engine would be insufficient for the next season. This led Honda to create the NSR500, which was powered by a more powerful V4 engine. It also featured a unique aluminum frame to house the engine and a radical layout in which the expansion chambers and the fuel tank were positioned above and below the engine respectively. The 1984 season was challenging but the following season saw the NSR500 demonstrate its excellent performance to win the championship. The Tamiya 1/12 model kit faithfully brings all the details of this famous GP bike to hobbyists around the world. Features Length: 166mm, Width: 52mm. The model recreates the early-season version of the bike ridden by F. Spencer. This detailed scale model closely recreates the form of the bike and allows appreciation of the unique chamber and fuel tank layout. The single-crankshaft V4 engine showcases Tamiya's trademark attention to detail. Aluminum frame and complex fuel tank are exquisitely recreated. Vinyl tubing is used to accurately model fuel pipes, accelerator, clutch cables and so on. Cowling, chamber cover and seat parts are attached using fine screws. Authentic rear suspension utilizes a metal coil spring. Comes with a racing stand to display the model. The kit includes decals to depict the bike's markings, in addition to masking seals to aid with painting.
