Generally, Mr Color provides a wider range of paint colours and finishes than Aqueous Hobby Color, and will dry to a smoother and harder finish. When applying Mr Color paint, 1 to 2 coats are recommended when using paint brushes, and 2 to 3 coats if using an airbrush to spray paint. If airbrushing Mr Color paint, it should be thinned after diluting to a ratio of between 1 (Mr Color) and 1 to 2 Thinner, depending on the degree of paint viscosity required. Gloss levels obtained using gloss coat Mr Color hobby paints can be adjusted by using Flat Base - mix approximately 5 to 10% of C-30 Flat Base to convert gloss colors to a semi gloss finish, or 10 to 20% for a matt finish. The percentage of Flat Base used can be adjusted to vary the amount of gloss level obtained.

Mr. Super Metallic series is a metallic paint that uses high-quality fine metal particles to create an excellent metallic look. The ingredients have been improved from the previous "Super Metallic" series! Itnow produces a more beautiful metallic look than ever before. The base ingredients are the same as those of Mr. Color, so please use Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Rapid Thinner, or Mr. Leveling Thinner for dilution and cleaning.For airbrush painting, dilute the paint in a ratio of 1 part paint to 0 or 1-2 parts thinner. The raw material composition differs depending on the color, so metallic colors with low viscosity can be used as is. Since the fine metal particles quickly settle to the bottom, you can achieve an even finish by diluting the mixture and stirring it appropriately while airbrushing. *SM201-205, 207, and 209 can be coated with Mr. Super Clear or water-based top coat (in the case of spray cans). *SM206 and SM208 can only be used with water-based top coats (there is a possibility of a slight cloudiness). Otherwise, the surface will become dull at once. If you use bottled paint, you can coat it with water-based hobby color and acrylic gloss.

The base material used is the same as that used for Mr.Color. Use Mr.Color Thinner, Mr.Rapid Thinner or Mr.Color Levelling Thinner for paint dilution and airbrush painting. For airbrush painting, dilute paint with thinner in a ratio of 1 part paint to 1 to 2parts thinner (excluding SM08). To seal the paint finish, coat use Super Clear or Mr.Super Clear UV Cut (excluding SM206 and SM08). Tips On The Use of Mr Super Metallic Paints: For SM206, be sure to apply Mr.Color or Mr.Spray Color Black (gloss) as a base coat color before painting in order to give the best metallic touch. In the case of SM206 and SM08, clear paint cannot be applied over the painted surface, as it dulls the color of the paint surface. Fine metallic particles in the paint tend to settle easily, so stir Mr.Super Metallic Paint well when thinning or even during painting.

HOW TO USE Prepare the base coat if necessary. Apply a thin layer of Mr. METAL COLOR evenly with a paint brush. Large flat paint brushes are recommended. Let the surface dry for at least 5 minutes. After the paint has dried, use a piece of soft cloth to gently polish the painted surface. Different effects can be obtained depending on how strongly the paint is polished. eg. no polishing will result in a matt effect, while gentle polishing, or more strong polishing will result in a more highly burnished effect. Apply TOPCOAT to prevent oxidation and result in a durable finish. Do not polish for too long as the paint film may come off. Scratches may appear after polishing. Do not apply Mr. SUPER CLEAR over a coat of Mr. METAL COLOR. Mr. SUPER CLEAR will dissolve the paint film.
