In February 2020 legendary Italian motorcycle maker Ducati wowed the world with the Superleggera V4, an ultra-light high performance bike with a production run of just 500 that was delivered to its lucky owners in a dedicated wooden box, accompanied by a Racing Kit of parts to make it ready for the circuit. The Racing Kit includes a super stylish and high performance Akrapovic exhaust, clutch cover, brake lever guard, fuel cap and more. With the parts fitted, output reaches an eye-popping 234hp and the bike records an astonishing power to weight ratio of 0.65kg/ps, turning the already impressive Superleggera V4 into a honed track machine. Following up on the popular 1/12 Ducati Superleggera V4 (Item 14140), this assembly kit recreates the 1/12 scale Ducati Superleggera V4 with Racing Kit. The Ducati Superleggera V4 can be further upgraded with the accompanying boxed racing kit provided by Ducati itself. The kit includes a plethora of parts for circuit use, such as the high performance Akrapovic titanium racing exhaust, and an open carbon fiber clutch cover. The license plate holder and side mirrors can be removed when the Superleggera V4 prowls the circuit. It also features a racing filler cap, brake lever guard, and a carbon fiber swingarm cover with titanium slider attachment. The circuit-custom engine output reaches an eye-popping 234hp; as the weight dwindles to a mere 152.2kg, the bike records an astonishing power to weight ratio of 0.65kg/PS, turning the already impressive Superleggera V4 into a honed track machine. A Special Version of a Special Bike Introduced to the world at the Milan Motor Show in 2011, the Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore was instantly the talk of the motorcycle world. It is a limited edition version of the bike, commemorating 150 years since Italian unification, with its elegant cowls adorned in a stunning livery inspired by the Italian tricolore flag, and fitted with the full range of high performance option parts. It makes liberal use of famed Italian manufacturer Ducati's race experience and gets 195hp out of a 1,198cc liquid-cooled L-Twin engine. A wealth of electronic components helps to control engine output, suspension characteristics and more, and racers have the DDA+ data analyzer at their disposal to record lap times and a whole host of other data from their ride. In an inventive twist, the engine itself is part of the bike's frame, and connected directly to the airbox/monocoque, swing arm and seat rail. The result is a lightweight and extremely durable vehicle. A wealth of electronic components helps to control engine output, suspension characteristics and more. The bike's sleek design has won it plaudits and awards from around the world. About the Model Length: 173mm. Kit depicts the bike in Italian version. The construction of the model allows appreciation of the inventive structure of the bike, with engine integrated into the monocoque frame and directly connected to the swing arm, damper unit and so on. Distinctive cowling shapes are accurately reproduced. Side cowlings are attached with small screws and can be removed even after assembly is complete. Desmosedici is a compound word made from the Italian for sixteen, "sedici" and the name of Ducati's trademark desmodromic valve design. The DOHC 16 V4 engine is composed of two 90 degree L twin components held together in a tubular steel truss-frame, with swing arm and rear shock pivots directly attached to engine in a truly original fashion. The sleek and powerful bike was piloted in its debut 2003 MotoGP season by L. Capirossi, former 125 and 250cc class title holder, and World Superbike Champion T. Bayliss. The GP4 really showed its stuff during its 2003 debut season, taking 3rd place at Suzuka and winning 1st at Catalunya. Maintaining the same basic structure in 2004, Ducati brushed up everything from the engine to the body to make an even higher performance superbike. While the Desmosedici GP4 had a difficult first half of the season, it began to show results towards the end, with L. Capirossi winning 3rd place in round 15. T. Bayliss also took 3rd in the final round, ending Ducati's season on a high-note, and promising further excitement still to come!

From 1990, the Ducati 888 went on to record three consecutive back-to-back Super Bike World Championships and now comes accurately reproduced as a plastic assembly model kit. Not seen with other machines, the 888 came equipped with a truss frame.  Features The slim form of Ducati's famous L-Twin motor has been accurately reproduced and separate parts to depict components such as the dry clutch provide the model with greater realism. Engine and cowling parts are attached to the frame with the kit included metal screws. Front and rear slick racing tires are depicted in solid synthetic rubber. Racing stand also included.

This 1/12 scale model assembly kit recreates the Superleggera V4 of which only 500 of the full-size motorcycle were produced. The Superleggera V4 is a road-legal version of the Panigale V4 produced by the legendary Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati. This motorcycle’s cornerstone is in the lightening, facilitated by carbon fiber material in the fairings, chassis and swing arm, and its eye-catching design features the distinctive carbon fiber biplane wings on either side of the front cowl, for aerodynamics. The engine is the Desmosedici Stradale R, a 998cc V4 powerplant with Ducati’s Desmodromic valve timing system. The full-size motorcycle also uses Öhlins suspension and Brembo brake system. In addition, installation of the Akrapovič titanium muffler– which is for the racing kit – with a dedicated engine part results in a superb power/weight ratio of 1.54hp/ kg.
