A Refined DesignAfter its appearance in mid-1943, the Panther was one of the mainstays of German armor through to the end of WWII. The Ausf.G (type G) variant was available to troops from 1944, and was itself upgraded in the second half of the year: fixes included an alteration to the lower section of the gun shield to stop direct hits from entering the crew space, and it was given more of a jutting design to further improve survivability; damped exhausts improved nighttime stealth; and air intakes were added on the engine grilles to supply the crew with warm air in cold conditions. Mobility, offensive power and survivability - the Panther achieved a remarkable balance of the three that made it a giant among WWII armor.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 257mm, width: 96mm.

Commander, driver, radio operator and maintenance hatches can be assembled in open or closed position.

The German Army's Most Formidable Weapon
Making its debut on the battlefield in 1944, the King Tiger heavy tank immediately struck fear into the hearts of Allied soldiers unlucky enough to face it. The first 50 models featured a Porsche designed turret, however in mass production runs a Henschel design turret was adopted. Designed for defense and attack, the King Tiger featured thick 150mm armor on the front and 80mm armor on the sides, and a 88mm L71 high velocity main gun capable of penetrating 170mm thick armor at a distance of 1,000m. Auxiliary armament included two 7.92mm machine guns mounted on the front hull section and on the turret. The extremely thick armor on the turret front measured 185mm and 88mm on the side panels. This massive tank was driven by a 700hp Maybach HL230 P-30 12 cylinder liquid cooled engine.

Known as the "workhorse" of the German army, the Panzer IV remained in production throughout the entire war. Production was increased even over more effective tanks like the Panther, due to the Panzer IV's low cost and reliability. The last of the series, the Type J was armed with a 75mm L/48 cannon, and featured a much simpler construction. An extra fuel tank replaced the auxiliary engine, nearly doubling the tank's range to 320km on-road, further increasing the Panzer IV's efficacy.
Features
1/48 scale assembly model of the PanzerKampfwagen IV Ausf.J medium battle tank.
Accurately depicts distinctive features such as horizontal armor structure, turret Schirzen (auxiliary side armor) and side Sch?rzen stays.

The Panther G
Developed as a countermeasure to the Soviet T-34, the German Panther tank was produced from 1943 until the end of the war and served alongside the Panzer III, IV and Tiger tanks. The Panther tank featured sloped armor, powerful 700hp Maybach engine and a turret placed far back on the hull mounting a 75mm L/70 cannon. The main gun was even more devastating than its size of 75mm would suggest, due to the large propellant charge and long barrel with high muzzle velocity. Many consider the Panther every bit as effective as the Tiger I, but easier to produce and maintain. The Ausf.G included versions with heater unit installed over the left engine fan, and with lower lip piece added to mantlet to eliminate shot trap.
Tamiya just doesnt stop releasing new items for the 1/48 MM Series.
We now offer modelers the Panther Type G, widely considered one of the most effective German tanks of WWII. Line the Ausf.G with the Panzer IV Ausf.J and 1/48 Panzer Grenadier figures for a detailed and accurate diorama of late-WWII German military. Tamiya 32528 1/48 British C...
$34.95
One of the most successful tanks fielded by the British in WWII, the Cromwell compared favorably with tanks of similar weight such as the Sherman and Panzer IV. Most were armed with the 75mm Q.F. Mk.V/VA, which was based on the 6 Pdr. but chambered to fire American ammunition. This was a very good dual-purpose gun, able to destroy enemy anti-tank guns at long range, or penetrate the frontal armor of a Panzer IV at normal battle ranges. However it was less effective against German heavy tanks. The Cromwell first saw action during the Normandy campaign, where it was at a disadvantage as it could not use its superior speed and agility, but this changed after the fighting moved to open country. Cromwell tanks made some spectacular advances in their pursuit of the Germans across Northern France, Belgium and Holland. The Cromwell served again in Korea and was finally retired in the late 1950's.
Features
Compact and detailed 1/48 assembly kit of the British Cromwell Mk.IV cruiser tank.
Length: 140mm、Distinguishing features such as large rivets on turret and perpendicular hull armor accurately reproduced.
Shape of large diameter wheels, that allowed high speed running, are also faithfully depicted.
Exterior details are included as separately-molded parts to enhance realism.
Die-cast chassis for added weight and realism.
Tank treads are assembly type, with one-piece upper and lower tread sections featuring realistic sag effect. Kit features optional rear cowling that prevented exhaust gas from getting into driver's compartment.

America's first tank destroyer, the M10 was mounted on a Sherman hull and had an open-topped turret carrying a 3-inch (76.2mm) cannon capable of penetrating 8.8cm of armor at 1000m distance. Facing its baptism of fire against the Germans in Tunisia in 1943, the M10 Tank Destroyer went on to serve in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific.
