M88A1 are designated as a "medium recovery vehicle", the M88A2 (original designation M88A1E1) is designated as "heavy recovery vehicle". They are all similar in many fundamental ways. The later version is distinctly heavier at 70 tons, compared to the original 56 tons, and uses a different engine, an AVDS 1790-8CR with 1,050 hp (780 kW), compared to a Continental AVDS-1790-2DR, with 750 hp (560 kW).

The M18 Tank Destroyer marks one of the milestones of technological innovation in US tank history, with its high power/weight ratio engine, automatic transmission, torsion bar suspension and track link with center guide. These features ultimately became the standard for post-war tanks. AFV Club's tooling skills have increased dramatically and it really shows in this kit. As a model of an open-topped vehicle, this kit is exceptional, with a thoroughly-detailed turret interior, and hull combat compartment visible from the top. Care is required when cutting fine parts from the sprues. The lathed aluminum gun barrel can be recoiled with a coil spring (included). Tracks are the rubber belt type. Eight sets of decals for various markings are provided.

AFV 35016 1/35 NATO YPR-765...
$55.99
The AIFV (Armored Infantry Combat Vehicle), also known to the Dutch Army as YRP-765, was originally developed as the successor to the world best-selling M113 APC, in late 1970's. It has a 25mm cannon in the small turret, and improved armor. As far as combat capability, the AIFV is inferior to the more modern powerful ICVs (Infantry Combat Vehicle) which are equipped with larger cannon and Anti-tank missiles, like the M2A2 Bradley and the BMP-3. But its reasonable procurement cost is very attractive to the Armies of small countries.
Features
AFV Club offers this interim AFV design in a high quality kit.
The kit is thoroughly detailed and parts are molded very sharply.
A photo-etchd set for engine grilles and fuel can racks are included, too.
Tracks (rubber belt type), drive sprocket and idler wheels are US standard.
Decals are for Armies of Belgium, Turkey (UN Roll) and the Philippines (thus the kit is named NATO IFV).

$29.99
This is a set of the old plus the new anti-tank weapons from the US Arsenal.
The M40A1 106mm RR was used extensively during the Vietnam War by the US Marines and later by its western allies' armies. The TOW is a well known anti-tank missile which features a tube-launched, optical-tracking, wire-guided missile; it has been deployed since the 1970's and has been in active service to the present, with improvements. Basically, both weapons were developed for anti-tank use, but it was found they were useful as 'bunker busters', too. AFV Club represents these successful weapons with very fine details. The M40A1 has the 12.7mm spotting rifle and optional breech clothing mechanism. Eight rounds of ammo and two used cartridges are included. The TOW A1 has a thermal sight, an important feature of contemporary weaponry, which parts have often been neglected with other old kits.
Photo-etched parts for the tripod mount and two additional missile tubes are also included.

The development of a second tranche of FSVs began in 1972, when a requirement for further such AFVs was issued. It was decided that the new AFV would use the turret of a FV101 Scorpion fitted to the chassis of a M113A1 APC. This turret was armed with a 76 mm L23A1 gun. Buoyancy aids were also installed on the sides and front of the hull so that the vehicles remained amphibious. The prototype vehicles began to be constructed by the Ordnance Factory in Maribyrnong, Victoria, during 1974; three were completed in mid-1975. The design was approved for production in 1978, and another 45 FSVs were eventually completed by converting newly acquired M113A1s. The type was later designated the Medium Reconnaissance Vehicle (MRV).
Features
AFV Club's 1/35-scale model kit of the Australian Army M113A1 MRV (Medium Reconnaissance Vehicle) comes with a new barrel and mantlet
Periscopes for the tank commander and loader.
Three types of coaxial guns are included, as are photo-etched parts and new decals.

AFV 35024 1/35 M-10 Tank De...
$54.99
The M10 Wolverine (called Wolverine) is an American tank destroyer from the Second World War. A tank destroyer, a vehicle with high mobility and firepower, was urgently needed in the early 1940s. Efforts were made to speed up the work on the project as much as possible, but it was not accepted until September 1942. The result was a vehicle based on the M4A2 body, slightly flattened at the top, with an unusual semi-open turret. Such a solution, along with minimizing the armor, was supposed to reduce the weight, and thus increase the mobility of the new tank destroyer. The drive was served by 2 coupled 6-cylinder General Motors 6046 engine with a power of 375HP. The M10s were primarily intended for the European theater of operations as a remedy for German armored vehicles. They fought in the Normandy campaign in France and later in Germany in 1945. They also performed well in the fighting in the Apennine Peninsula. They were used by the 1st Armored Division and the 2nd Polish Corps. The M 10 Wolverine was based primarily on its mobility and speed, it had weak armor which made it a rather offensive weapon. Nevertheless, in the hands of a well-trained crew, he could be a formidable opponent. Technical data: length (without barrel): 5.97m, width: 3.05m, height: 2.9m, weight 29.6t, engine power: 375KM, speed (on the road): 50 km / h, armament: 1 cannon H-7 76.2mm and 1 MG Browning HB M2 12.7mm.
