$ PRICE IN PROGRESS!
Although the North American P-51 Mustang is unquestionably regarded as one of the finest fighting aeroplanes of the entire Second World War, it can be surprising to learn that the bubble canopy equipped ‘D’ variant of the fighter only started flying combat operations in the European Theatre from the summer of 1944 onwards.
With its impressive reputation, the Mustang has long been a favourite with Warbird and Airshow enthusiasts, with one aircraft possessing a particularly rich heritage in the world of historic aviation. P-51D Mustang ‘Old Red Nose’ was purchased by a group of WWII veteran pilot friends in 1957, who pooled their resources to secure a Mustang they could all fly, with this aircraft now regarded as the founding aircraft of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF).
Always flown with a distinctive red spinner, this Mustang was colloquially known as ‘Old Red Nose’, so when it came time to select a suitable authentic wartime scheme for her, they selected one of the red nosed Mustangs of the 4th Fighter Group, which flew out of Debden in England during the Second World War, a unit which was the highest scoring USAAF Fighter Group in WWII.
She was donated to the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) in 1991 and since that date, has been honouring the heroes of yesterday by informing the public about the people who built, flew and maintained these magnificent aeroplanes.

Learning to fly in his native Australia, Donald Hamilton Smith was posted to an operational RAF squadron following the successful completion of his RAF service conversion in late 1941, and would later spend time flying in defence of Malta.
He would be the recipient of an unusual award whilst on the island, as he was presented with the Soviet Medal for Valour, awards which the Soviets gave to the RAF to hand out as they saw fit, but in this case, for the tenacity Smith had shown in combat.
Becoming acting CO of No.453 Squadron on 2nd May 1944, he led the unit on many offensive sweeps into northern France in preparation for D-Day, mainly against enemy radar installations. The squadron were up early to fly the first of 4 sorties over the beachheads on D-Day itself, but didn’t encounter enemy aircraft activity at all on that fateful day, something which would become the norm over the next few days.
They would encounter the Luftwaffe on 16th June, when twelve Spitfires engaged a similar number of Bf 109 fighters, with several subsequently falling to the guns of the RAAF Spitfires, two being credited to their Commanding Officer Smith. As Allied forces pushed the enemy inland from the beachheads, No.453 Squadron moved operations to the Advanced Landing Ground B.11 at Longues-sur-Mer, just off the Normandy coast, and close to the German Atlantic Wall coastal battery between the Omaha and Gold landing beaches.

This 1:72 scale Westland Puma HC-1 die-cast model features a unique livery that will stand out on your collector's shelf! The NATO Tiger Meet livery from RIAT 2005 is roar-some, first displayed at the legendary Tiger Meet at RIAT 20 years ago! The stripy design is complemented with high-quality detailing, as well as crew figures and sliding doors. A stand is included in the box.
This die-cast model is a limited edition of 936.
History
This versatile medium lift helicopter can trace its origins back to an innovative collaboration between the aviation industries of Britain and France in an attempt to produce a series of three different types for service in both countries, with the other two being the Gazelle and Lynx. Entering Royal Air Force service with No.33 Squadron in 1971, the Westland Puma HC.1 proved to be an exceptional machine, possessing both impressive speed and agility, and was capable of carrying 16 passengers, 12 fully equipped troops, or 2 tonnes of cargo, either carried internally, as an underslung load, or via a combination of the two.
An incredibly versatile and reliable helicopter, the latest variant of this magnificent aircraft remains in service with the RAF today, some 54 years since those first machines arrived at RAF Odiham. Throughout that time, surely no RAF Puma has ever looked as spectacular as XW231 did when No.230 Squadron prepared her for an appearance at the 2005 NATO Tiger Meet event, at Balikesir Air Force Base in Turkey. Resplendent in her new tiger livery, it will come as no surprise to learn that this aircraft came away with the Silver Tiger Trophy award at that prestigious event, later becoming one of the stars of the show at that summer’s Royal International Air Tattoo.
If you want to make your Puma into an irresistible crowd pleaser, just make it look like a Tiger!

History
When Britain stood alone and needed the young men of the Royal Air Force to stand against the might of the all-conquering Luftwaffe, many airmen answered that call, not all of them native to these shores. American Pilot Officer William Meade Lindsay ‘Billy’ Fiske III was born in New York in June 1911, and by the time he volunteered to join the Royal Air Force in August 1939, he was already a national hero back in his homeland.
In 1928, Fiske was the driver of the US five-man Olympic bobsleigh team that won gold at the St. Moritz games, and at the age of just 16, also became the youngest ever gold medal-winning Olympian, a record that stood until 1992. Impressively, he repeated the feat four years later at the Lake Placid games.
On joining the RAF, Fiske believed that he was the first US citizen to join the force after the outbreak of hostilities, something he was extremely proud of. Tragically, Fiske lost his life on 17th August 1940, the day after he and the rest of No.601 Squadron had been sent to challenge a force of Junkers Ju-87 Stukas which had been sent to attack his home airfield at Tangmere.
With his engine seized, he managed to crash land back at his home airfield, but was still in the cockpit when the Hurricane burst into flames.

$399.95
One of the most exciting RAF aeroplanes in aviation history, the English Electric Lightning F.6 makes a wonderful 1:48 scale die-cast model.
This modern masterpiece is replicated in high detail, with removable engine and intake covers and even a crew ladder. The undercarriage is also removable and the box includes a stand so you can proudly display your model at the centre of your aviation collection.
Features
Die-Cast Model with Display Stand
This die-cast model has a limited-edition run of only 1,200 units.
Occupying a prominent position in the history of Britain’s aviation industry, for young men hoping to join the Royal Air Force during the 1960s and 70s, the English Electric Lightning must have offered the most exhilarating experience anyone could hope to have.
On joining a Lightning unit, students would usually be given a ‘taster flight’ with their instructor, something which would whet their aviation appetite still further, showing them what was available to them if they knuckled down and did the work. This would be followed by weeks of Ground School and time on the Lightning simulator, where they were brought up to speed on what was required if they were to become Lightning pilots – you had to think fast when travelling at these speeds.
Once posted to an operational squadron, they knew they were considered an elite pilot, flying an aircraft most people could only dream of spending time in, and for them, no other aircraft would ever come close to matching the sheer adrenalin rush of the Lightning.
Lightning XR726 was constructed as an F.6 variant during late 1964, making her first flight in June the following year. Spending much of her RAF career with No.5 Squadron, she wore the majority of the different camouflage finish variations worn by Lightnings during their service lives, including this particularly striking one in natural metal.

The popular Bristol Beaufighter is back with this new Aviation Archive 1:72 scale model, featuring eye-catching nose art, a display stand, optional undercarriage, and twin rotating propellers!
We’ve only made 1,100 of these limited-edition die-cast Bristol Beaufighter models.
History
Flying some of the most dangerous strike missions of the Second World War, the Bristol Beaufighters of the Dallachy Strike Wing were charged with a maritime battle that simply had to be won. Denying Germany access to the valuable raw materials she needed to feed her war industries, these aircraft were sent to attack Axis shipping, attempting to sail the length of the Norwegian coast to Germany.
They became so proficient in their work that the ships were unable to sail during daylight hours. Instead, they would fjord hop under the cover of darkness, and seek the protection offered by the steep fjord cliffs, and heavy flak batteries by day. Once detected, however, the Dallachy Beaufighters would immediately attack, using tactics perfected to avoid the potential for collision, or aircraft loss due to friendly fire during these frenzied attacks.
Battling against hostile terrain, murderous anti-aircraft defenses and vast expanses of ocean, these missions required the resolve of a special breed of airmen and aircraft tough enough to cope with such demanding conditions.
After providing strike cover in the run-up to and during D-Day, No.404 ‘Buffalo’ Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force returned to Scotland and RAF Dallachy in October 1944. There, they continued their fight against Axis shipping off the Norwegian coast, becoming one of the most effective anti-shipping strike units of the Second World War.

Corgi AA28804 1/48 Bristol ...
$189.95
This impressive 1:48 scale Aviation Archive model replicates a night-fighter variant of the Bristol F2B Fighter with an incredible First World War home-front story. It features a rotating propeller and a display stand.
We’ve only made 900 of these limited-edition Bristol F-2B Fighter die-cast models.
One of the most important British aircraft of the Great War era, the Bristol F2B Fighter was an exceptional fighting aeroplane. Once pilots realised this large machine was strong enough to be flown like a scout, many Luftstreitkräfte aircraft fell to its guns.
The Bristol was a multi-role aircraft of interest to the Home Defence units attempting to stem the nightly tide of German Zeppelin and biplane bomber raiders over southern England. The First World War model aircraft replicated here served with RAF No.39 Squadron during the summer of 1918, and on the night of 19th/20th May, was flown by 19-year-old Lieutenant Anthony Arkell on just his 11th home defence sortie.
Intercepting a mighty Gotha G.V bomber at 10,000ft over the Hainault Forest, Arkell skilfully positioned his aircraft under the bomber, and fired drum after drum of ammunition into its belly. Seemingly having little effect, he remained in position for around fifteen minutes, firing 700 rounds of ammunition into the belly of the beast, which finally burst into flames with the pair now just 1,500ft above the ground.
The aircraft crashed in East Ham, becoming the first and only No.39 Squadron victory over a Gotha night-raider, and earning Lt. Arkell a Military Cross. His aircraft, which was named ‘Devil in the Dusk’, sported muted markings developed specifically for night-fighter operations.

The first-ever release of our 1:48 scale AV-8B Harrier II in die-cast, this incredible Aviation Archive model features a display stand, removable undercarriage, and multiple moving parts including a sliding canopy, rotating Pegasus Engine exhausts and even a spinning fan blade inside the aircraft. The livery pays tribute to a legendary US Marines Squadron.
We’ve only made 1,500 of these limited-edition McDonnell Douglas AV-8B+ Harrier II die-cast models.
Serving members of US Marine Attack Squadron 214 have always been proud to uphold the traditions of a unit which was originally formed at Ewa Field in Hawaii on the 1st July 1942, and claimed celebrated ace pilot Major ‘PAPPY’ Boyington amongst their number.
Boyington was significant for becoming the first fighter ace to eclipse the victory total of the famous Great War ‘Ace’ Eddie Rickenbacker. He also received the Medal of Honor, America’s highest military decoration.
They were known as the ‘Black Sheep’ Squadron, because this new unit was made up of individual airmen seconded from other units right across the Pacific Theatre, with little support or resources, leaving members feeling like outcasts – a disparate group. What they lacked in support, they made up for in fighting prowess.
The later history of this unit was marked by their long association with the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B plus Harrier II, an aircraft type they operated for 33 years. They only relinquished their aircraft when they exchanged them for the Fifth Generation Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II stealth jet in 2022.
For the 75th anniversary of the formation of the ‘Black Sheep’, VMA-214 presented AV-8B Harrier II Plus 165001 ‘01’ in this striking special scheme, with the aircraft proudly carrying the name Maj. Gregory “PAPPY” Boyington on its starboard cockpit canopy framing.

This attractive Marin B-26C-45-MO Marauder was a stand-out aircraft of the Second World War, with a unique nose art that deserves centre of attention in your die-cast display.

Die-Cast Model with Display Stand
This die-cast model has a limited-edition run of only 1,500 units.
For an aircraft which initially attracted such unwanted nicknames as ‘Widow Maker’ and the ‘Flying Coffin’, and had training crews referring to it as, ‘One a day in Tampa Bay’ because of the high number of aircraft lost to crashes, the Martin B-26 Marauder actually posted the lowest loss rate of all USAAF bombers during the Second World War.
A high-performance aircraft incorporating advanced technologies, the Marauder was a delight to fly but had some vices which could cause problems for the unwary and inexperienced. However, some design modifications and a revised training program soon improved the aircraft’s fortunes.
After some time in Florida, the 444th Bomb Squadron were sent to England before completing their training program. They stayed for just over a month before being sent onwards with the rest of the 320th Bomb Group to North Africa and operations across the Mediterranean Theatre.
The Group was awarded a Distinguished Unit Citation for pressing home an attack against Axis troop concentrations at Fondi, in support of the 5th Army’s push towards Rome, despite coming under heavy enemy anti-aircraft fire.
This particular aircraft was one of the most flamboyantly decorated of all the 444th BS Marauders, with striking sharks’ teeth to put fear in the hearts of enemy fighter pilots, and beach belle artwork on both sides of the aircraft’s nose.

Operating from its home base at US Station 365 Halesworth in Suffolk in 1945, Consolidated OA-10A Catalina 44-33915, named ‘Miss Pick Up’, was scrambled to assist another Catalina which had been sent to rescue the crew of a downed B-24 Liberator in the North Sea. The aircraft had found itself in difficulties having landed on extremely rough seas.
Managing to locate the other Catalina, ‘Miss Pick Up’ flew over it several times, sending back location coordinates to other units, before being relieved by other aircraft.
She was then directed to try and locate the position of a P-51D Mustang pilot who had been reported as ditching in the sea off the coast of the Dutch Island of Schiermonnikoog.
Unfortunately, when landing to attempt the rescue, one of the Catalina’s engines failed and it was unable to take off again or move further away from the enemy coast, so she dropped her anchor to avoid drifting further.
The following day, the stricken Catalina came under attack by a pair of Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighters from Jagdgeschwader 7, with the German jets making two devastating strafing passes against the mighty amphibian.
Thankfully, a flight of USAAF Mustangs chased the Luftwaffe fighters away, but whilst this saved the lives of the crew, ‘Miss Pick Up’ herself was mortally wounded and soon sank to the bottom of the North Sea.

This 1:48 scale die-cast model release of the World War One Sopwith Camel plane replicates the beautiful livery of an early aviation ace. This Aviation Archive model features a rotating propeller and display stand.
We’ve only made 900 of these limited-edition Walter Hinchcliff Sopwith Camel F.1 die-cast models.
Liverpudlian Walter ‘Hinch’ Hinchliffe began his military career with a British Army artillery unit, but in 1916, joined the Royal Naval Air Service. After training, he was posted to Cranwell as an instructor, where he clocked up an impressive 1,250 flight hours in 13 months of flying.
In January 1918, he joined No.10 Squadron. RNAS at Téteghem near Dunkirk, and scored his first victory in a Sopwith Camel on 3rd February 1918. As the commander of ‘C’ Flight, Hinchliffe’s Sopwith Camel B7190 was one of the most distinctively presented aircraft of the squadron, with its blue and white detailing making it an attractive sight for Allied and Luftstreitkräfte pilots alike.
He used this aircraft to score his second and third victories in France, ending the war with six confirmed victories, confirming him as an ace pilot.
The spine of his aircraft carried a representation of the Liverpool coat of arms, and the wheel covers had little devils painted on them. The wording ‘Donner Wetter’ painted on either side of the fuselage is German for ‘thunderstorm’ – fitting for a pilot who enjoyed such a meteoric rise through service.
After the war, ‘Hinch’ was persuaded to fly a wealthy heiress across the Atlantic, as she wanted to become the first woman to do so. Tragically, both aircraft and passengers were lost without trace during the attempt.

History
Unquestionably one of the most famous military pilots to have ever lived, the story of Douglas Bader’s life is extraordinary, and could even be likened to reading about some mythical heroic figure from the pages of a ‘Boys’ Own’ magazine. Losing both his legs in a pre-war flying accident, the Second World War allowed Bader to rejoin the Royal Air Force, with his drive and determination later becoming the inspiration for an entire nation.
After successfully completing a refresher course, Bader was initially posted to No.19 Squadron at Duxford, then on to No.222 Squadron at Hornchurch as a Flight Leader, both to fly the Spitfire Mk.I. Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I P9443 was the 606th Spitfire built and was subsequently delivered to the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1940. She was initially flown to No.6 Maintenance Unit at Brize Norton, then on to No.222 Squadron at Hornchurch on 4th June.
She was a standard mid-production Mk.I Spitfire, presented in the standard markings of an Operation Dynamo fighter, with Night/White and Aluminium undersides. Bader used this aircraft to score his first aerial victory over a Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 109 on 1st June 1940 as he took part in Operation Dynamo, when what he thought must have been a novice pilot flew straight in front of his Spitfire, taking no evasive action when he opened fire on it.

FAB 1 is a striking pink Rolls Royce owned by Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and driven by the inimitable Parker. Outwardly, FAB 1 is simply a powerful, sophisticated six-wheeled vehicle, but beneath the highly polished exterior is a veritable armoury of tricks. From smoke bombs to machine guns, booster jets to hydrofoils, FAB 1 has it all!
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward is the 26-year-old daughter of aristocrat Sir Hugh Creighton-Ward and his wife Amelia. Penelope inherited her father’s spirit and determination and craved danger, action and intrigue.
Soon after completing her education, she rejected the aristocracy’s endless round of social engagements and became a secret agent. It was while working as the chief operative of the Federal Agents Bureau that Penelope first met Jeff Tracy and she immediately accepted his invitation to become International Rescue’s London Agent.
Aloysius Parker is the last of a long line of faithful Cockney retainers who have served the English aristocracy for centuries. However, unable to follow the family tradition and find employment as a butler, he fell in with various villains in the London underworld who taught him the tricks of the trade.
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward caught him while he was helping himself to the contents of an oil tycoon’s safe. Penelope had heard of Parker’s superior talents and offered him a working partnership in her espionage activities, as well as employment as butler at Creighton-Ward Mansion and chauffeur of her Rolls Royce FAB 1.

THUNDERBIRD 1
Thunderbird 1, the spearhead craft of International Rescue, is piloted by Scott Tracy, the eldest of the five Tracy brothers. At 115 feet long and bearing a wing span of 80 feet, the rocket-powered Thunderbird 1 is sleek and fast with a top speed in excess of 15,000 miles per hour.
Though armed and carrying its own rescue equipment aboard, the principal role of Thunderbird 1 is to get to the danger zone as soon as possible, enabling Scott to assess the situation, advise on specialist equipment required and then direct the rescue operation. Scott can then oversee the rescue either onboard Thunderbird 1 or from the Mobile Control Console which forms an essential part of his equipment.
In addition to his Thunderbird 1 duties, Scott often co-pilots Thunderbird 3 with his brother Alan and whenever his father Jeff is absent, Scott’s seniority places him in command of the island headquarters International Rescue calls home.
THUNDERBIRD 3
Thunderbird 3 is International Rescue’s space rocket piloted by astronaut Alan Tracy. The blond-haired, baby-faced astronaut and champion race driver is utterly dedicated to International Rescue, meeting his tremendous responsibilities with a maturity that belies his years as the youngest brother in the Tracy family.
TB3 is the tallest vehicle in the International Rescue fleet, measuring 200 feet in height. Launched from its concealed hanger beneath the Tracy Island Round House, the rocket is used for all space rescues and also acts as a link to Thunderbird 5. Two crew members are required, usually meaning Scott will accompany Alan as co-pilot. Apart from piloting Thunderbird 3, Alan also assists his brother John by taking turns at manning the Thunderbird 5 space station.

Thunderbird 4 is usually carried to and from the danger zone aboard Pod 4, one of the six pods carried by Thunderbird 2. If required, however, the Thunderbirds International Rescue submarine has hover jets fitted for travelling short distances across land to reach the water under its own power.
A highly trained aquanaut with stints in the Submarine Service and the World Aquanaut Security Patrol under his belt, Gordon Tracy is an expert oceanographer. He is also the designer of a unique underwater breathing apparatus, which he has modified and improved for International Rescue.
Good-natured and high-spirited, he possesses a strength and tenacity that make him a respected leader and commander. He is also one of the world’s fastest freestyle swimmers and is a past Olympic champion with the butterfly stroke.

Corgi CC01501 Thunderbird 5...
$81.95
Long requested by Gerry Anderson fans, the CORGI Thunderbird 5 die-cast is finally here for the first time with this newly tooled release. This highly detailed die-cast model includes a stand for display in two ways – by itself, or docked with Thunderbird 3 (sold separately).
Thunderbird 5 is International Rescue’s space station and the heart of the organisation’s communications network, maintained in a secret geostationary orbit high above the Earth. John Tracy and his younger brother Alan take turns to man this satellite, with each staying aboard for a month at a time. Between them, they maintain a constant vigil across the globe.
Using sophisticated monitoring equipment, they are able to hear every radio transmission being broadcast with special filters attuned to messages of distress in any language.
Born on 8th October, 2040, 25-year-old John Tracy was educated at Harvard. He followed in his father’s footsteps to become an astronaut prior to his involvement with International Rescue. An electronics expert with a degree in laser communication, John is the quietest and most intellectual of the Tracy brothers. Slighter in build than his siblings, he is lithe and graceful.
As space monitor for International Rescue, stationed aboard the massive space satellite Thunderbird 5, John has ample time on his hands to indulge his favourite pastime of astronomy. Four astronomy and outer space textbooks have been published bearing his name and his incessant space-searching led to the discovery of the Tracy quasar system.

Corgi CC08003 1/36 Aston Ma...
$85.95
A car made for the most famous spy in the world, the James Bond Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre is as stylish as you'd expect. This re-release comes in time for the film's 10th anniversary, with carbon fibre improvements and more visible vents. With its high-shine silver livery, this officially licensed 1:32-scale car comes in special presentation packaging that enhances its collectability.
History
A bespoke grand tourer designed by Aston Martin and outfitted by Q-branch, the Aston Martin DB10 in ‘Spectre’ was originally planned to be issued to James Bond but was reassigned to Agent 009 following 007’s unsanctioned actions in Mexico City.
Bond instead ‘borrowed’ the vehicle from Q-Branch as his transport to Rome to investigate the mysterious SPECTRE, and later put the vehicle through its paces when he found himself discovered and pursued by one of the organisation's enforcers through the city streets.
The Aston Martin DB10 was commissioned and built especially for use in ‘Spectre’, with the car publicly revealed during a press conference on the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios on 4 December 2014.
Featuring a body made from carbon fibre and a V8 engine, ten DB10s were constructed for use in the film – three hero cars and seven built for specific action purposes during the car chase through the centre of Rome.
While only created for the film and never available for sale, aspects of the DB10 went on to inform the design language of subsequent cars produced by Aston Martin, most notably the 2018 V8 Vantage.

Corgi Republic P-47D Thunde...
$ PRICE IN PROGRESS!
Although remembered as the top-scoring Mustang ace in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO), George E. Preddy Jr. actually made his ETO combat debut flying the P-47 Thunderbolt. Whilst he did score his first three victories flying this massive fighter, things weren’t always without incident.
After downing his third Luftwaffe fighter, Preddy and his wingman, Lt. William Whisner, were heading back to Bodney when Preddy’s Thunderbolt was hit by flak crossing the French coast. Whisner later reported seeing smoke billowing from the cockpit of Preddy’s fighter, and his leader taking to his parachute.
Despite being low on fuel, Whisner remained circling above his leader until controllers confirmed a position fix, and that a rescue aircraft was on the way. When the Walrus did arrive, the sea was so rough that it ripped a float off the aircraft during landing. Although it was able to rescue Preddy, it had to be towed back to shore by an RAF rescue launch.
All of George Preddy’s fighters in the ETO were named ‘Cripes A’ MIGHTY’, a term he heard people using for luck whilst playing the dice game craps. It appealed to him so much that he painted it on the fuselage of his Thunderbolt and all his future Mustangs.
The 352nd began converting from P-47s to P-51B Mustangs in March 1944, and the rest is the stuff of USAAF ace pilot history.
This impressive Aviation Archive 1:72 scale model of the P-47D Thunderbolt is presented in a high-back configuration, and features a rotating propeller, optional undercarriage, and a display stand. The livery represents an aircraft flown by a legendary future American ace.
We’ve only made 1,100 of these limited-edition Republic P-47D Thunderbolt die-cast models.

Corgi Star Trek - USS Enter...
$ PRICE IN PROGRESS!
Launched in 2372 after the loss of her predecessor, the Sovereign-class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E was captained once again by Jean-Luc Picard alongside most of the original senior staff of the Enterprise-D. A year later, the Enterprise-E was near completion of its shakedown cruise when the second Borg incursion against Federation space occurred.
Picard defied orders and took his ship and crew into combat for the first time. The arrival of the Enterprise in Sector 001 proved decisive, with Picard assuming command of the fleet and directing fire on the gigantic Borg Cube, leading to its destruction. An attempt to alter history by the Borg Queen and drones that had beamed aboard was also thwarted, though the Enterprise came close to being lost when the cybernetic beings began assimilating the ship.
With the onset of the Dominion War in 2373, the Enterprise was kept away from the front lines, with the ship instead dispatched on a flurry of diplomatic missions to bolster Federation support. When the war ended, the Federation and Romulan Empire emerged as the two strongest superpowers, and an apparent thawing in diplomatic relations ensued.
The Enterprise-E became the first Federation starship to visit Romulus, but it quickly emerged the peace overtures were a ruse. Shinzon, the new Romulan praetor, was in fact a clone of Picard himself and he had decided to wage war on the Federation. The Enterprise intercepted and fought Shinzon to a standstill, with his final defeat only occurring thanks to the sacrifice of Lieutenant Commander Data.
The Enterprise returned to Earth for repairs and her long-standing command crew broke up to go to new postings, with Commander Riker promoted to the Captain of the U.S.S. Titan NCC-80102. Picard was later promoted to Admiral and left the Enterprise in 2381 to lead the evacuation of Romulus from an impending supernova.
