The Royal Air Force's "Spitfire" fighter is one of the most famous fighters in World War II. Since its introduction in 1936, more than 20,000 have been produced by 1948. The MK.V series has always been the main battle of the Royal Air Force. More than 6,500 aircraft were produced. At the beginning of 1941, most of the Royal Air Force’s flight squadrons were equipped with "Spitfire" MK.I. type. Supermarine Spitfire is probably the most famous British fighter from the Second World War. It was an all-metal machine with a low wing configuration, characteristic elliptical wings, a classic tail and a retractable landing gear. The prototype flight took place on March 5, 1936. The Spitfire proved to be the RAF's staple of the war, which continued to do well after the war, remaining in production for 10 years. The history of the Spitfire began on the drawing desk of RJ Mitchell, Supermarine's lead designer.
The first machines went to RAF units in 1938, but when the Battle of Britain began in the summer of 1940, there were already 19 squadrons of modern fighters at the airfields - together with the slightly older Hurricanes of the Islands, 600 aircraft were defending. With the expansion of hostilities, the Spitfire served wherever the RAF operated in the Far East, North Africa and Italy, during the Normandy landings and fighting in France, and finally during the operation in Germany in 1945. For many Britons, he became a symbol of victory in World War II. This wonderful machine has at least a dozen production versions.
The most important of them are, among others the first mass-produced Spitfire Mk.I powered by a 1030hp Rolls-Royce Merlin II engine. Many versions of this model have been developed, including PR Mk IA (reconnaissance version) or PR.IG (armed reconnaissance version). Another interesting version was the Spitfire Mk.V with a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine with 1440HP. Later, Merlin 50 engines were also assembled. Serial production of this version started in 1941 and was the RAF's response to the appearance of the Messerschmitt Bf-109F.
Another very successful version is the Spitfire Mk.IX, powered by a Merlin 61 engine with a 4-blade propeller. It was created as an opponent to the Focke-Wulf Fw-190 and was put into production at the end of 1941. This version was modified many times and, for example, in 1944 it got a new gyro sight, an enlarged rudder or a different wing system. Another major version is the Spitfire Mk.XIV with a Rolls-Royce Griffon 61 engine and a five-bladed propeller. Serial production started in October 1943. One of the last series produced was the Mk.21 version. This version had a Griffon 61 engine, a strongly reinforced structure and sheathing, the wings were extended, increasing their flying surface. Mass production started in March 1945.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American, single-engine, metal fighter-attack aircraft in a low wing configuration with a classic tail. The flight of the prototype took place in 1938, and serial production was carried out in the years 1938-1944. The last of the Hawk family of planes - the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was, apart from the Republic P-47 and the North American P-51 Mustang, the most widely built American fighter. At the end of production in December 1944, the number of machines exceeded 15,000. The development of the design began in 1937, when the prototype airframe of version 75 was adapted to the installation of the 1167HP Allison V-1710-11 in-line engine. The wyvern was a mythical monster with the front legs of a dragon and the barbed tail of a snake and, of course, it was one mean creature! The Westland Wyvern was the last fixed-wing aircraft design from the Westland Aircraft Co. and was one of the last prop-driven fighters. It was a very large airplane that was about the same weight as a DC-3 but larger than—and twice as powerful as—a P-47 Thunderbolt. Its twin,contra-rotating props certainly gave it the same mean appearance as its fictional predecessor. Four converted and 87 new-built aircraft were delivered of the most important Wyvern version, the TF.4, later renamed S.4. The TF.4 had numerous small changes. The recognition characteristic was the cut-off engine inlet, the propeller spinner then protruding much further forward. Small rectangular fins were added to the tailplane, changes were made to the ailerons, Martin-Baker Mk. 2B ejection seats were installed, and the cockpit was reinforced. Later modifications included perforated dive brakes, a flat windscreen, and provisions for tip tanks. The first Sea Fury prototype, powered by a Bristol Centaurus XII, had first flown on 21 February 1945, but the first fully-navalized version with folding wings did not fly until 12 October 1947. The Boulton Paul contract was cancelled in early 1945, and of the 100 Sea Furies that remained on order, the first 50 were completed under the designation Sea Fury Mk X. The Supermarine Spiteful was a British Rolls-Royce Griffon-engined fighter aircraft. In late 1942, Supermarine designers feared the drag characteristics of the Spitfire's wing at high Mach numbers (nearing the speed of sound) might become a limiting factor in increasing the aircraft's high-speed performance. To overcome this, it was decided to produce a new laminar-flow wing, much like that already used on the North American P-51 Mustang, Another change, to improve the ground-handling, was replacing the Spitfire's narrow-track, outward-retracting undercarriage with a wider-track, inward-retracting system. as it was now substantially different from a Spitfire, the aircraft was named Spiteful.

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable-sweep wing aircraft.It first flew on 21 December 1970. The F-14 was the United States Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconnaissance platform from 1974 to 2006. It later performed precision strike missions once it was integrated with the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night LANTIRN system. The F-14 was developed after the collapse of the F-111B project, and was the first of the American teen-series fighters which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat against MiGs during the Vietnam War. Arizona was a Pennsylvania-class battleship of the United States Navy. The vessel was the third to be named in honor of the 48th state, though the first since its statehood was actually achieved. Royal Navy battlecruiser HOOD was built at the Clydebank shipyard in Scotland by John Brown & Co. Ltd., laid down in September 1916, launched in August 1918, and commissioned in May 1920. Planned as one of four battlecruisers of the Admiral class, only HOOD was completed, at the time the heaviest and most powerful warship in the world and pride of the British fleet.
HOOD spent the winter of 1940-41 patrolling the northern waters of the Denmark Strait between Greenland and Iceland, watching over any attempted breakout by German heavy units to attack Atlantic convoys bringing vital supplies to Britain from the USA.
When Germany’s sea pride BISMARCK in company with PRINZ EUGEN got through the patrols, HOOD and the brand new Royal Navy battleship PRINCE OF WALES were despatched to intercept and destroy the German ships. On 24th May 1941 at 05.52, at a range of 22,000 yards, HOOD opened fire. As HOOD and PRINCE OF WALES were steering towards BISMARCK to close the range, BISMARCK replied with accuracy. On the third salvo HOOD was hit close to the main mast, setting her on fire. At 05.55 the British ships began to turn broadside to the German ships to enable all guns to open fire. As they did so the fifth salvo from BISMARCK struck HOOD in its magazine. The catastrophic explosion tore HOOD apart and she split in two, sinking in minutes.
There were only three survivors from her crew of 1,418 men, the Royal Navy's greatest single loss of the Second World War. To avenge the loss of HOOD, the order was given to “Sink the Bismarck”. More than 2,000 Kriegsmarine sailors perished when BISMARCK sank on 27th May 1941. The wreck of HOOD was located in 2001 and is a designated war grave.

USS Yorktown (CV-5) was an aircraft carrier commissioned in the United States Navy from 1937 until she was sunk at the Battle of Midway in June 1942. She was named after the Battle of Yorktown in 1781 and the lead ship of the Yorktown class which was designed after lessons learned from operations with the large converted battlecruiser Lexington class and the smaller purpose-built USS Ranger. She was sunk by Japanese submarine I-68 on 6 June 1942 during the Battle of Midway.

HMHS Britannic was the third and final vessel of the White Star Line's Olympic class of ocean liners and the second White Star ship to bear the name Britannic. She was the younger sister of RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic and was intended to enter service as a transatlantic passenger liner. She operated as a hospital ship from 1915 until her sinking near the Greek island of Kea, in the Aegean Sea at position 37°42′05″N 24°17′02″E, in November 1916. At the time she was the largest hospital ship in the world, and the largest vessel built in Britain.
Britannic was launched just before the start of the First World War. She was designed to be the safest of the three ships with design changes made during construction due to lessons learned from the sinking of the Titanic. She was laid up at her builders, Harland & Wolff, in Belfast, for many months before being requisitioned as a hospital ship. In 1915 and 1916 she operated between the United Kingdom and the Dardanelles.
On the morning of 21 November 1916, she hit a naval mine of the Imperial German Navy near the Greek island of Kea and sank 55 minutes later, killing 30 of 1,066 people on board; the 1,036 survivors were rescued from the water and from lifeboats. Britannic was the largest ship lost in the First World War. After the War, the White Star Line was compensated for the loss of Britannic by the award of SS Bismarck as part of postwar reparations; she entered service as RMS Majestic. The wreck of the Britannic was located and explored by Jacques Cousteau in 1975. The vessel is the largest intact passenger ship on the seabed in the world. It was bought in 1996 and is currently owned by Simon Mills, a maritime historian.

The USS Fletcher (DD-445) is the first ship of the US Navy's Fletcher class destroyer, named in honor of Admiral Frank Friday Fletcher. Construction began on October 2, 1941, was completed on May 3, 1942, and was put into service on June 30 of the same year.
After entering service, the Fletcher was deployed in the Western Pacific region. In 1942, it participated in the First Battle of Guadalcanal. In 1943, the Fletcher continued to patrol and transport escort missions in the Solomon Islands, and provided cover for a new landing point to the north of Guadalcanal. On January 11, 1943, during a patrol mission, Fletcher sank the Japanese I-18 submarine. In 1944, the USS Fletcher participated in covering up the attack forces on Luzon Island, providing firepower support for the Nasugbu Bay landing operation, the occupation operation of Corgi do, the minesweeping operation in Manila Bay, and patrol and escort missions in the Philippines. On May 13, 1945, the Fletcher returned to the West Coast for major repairs and remained parked in San Diego until it was retired and sealed on January 15, 1947.
On October 3, 1949, the sealed Fletcher was converted into an escort destroyer and returned to service. It later participated in the Korean War and returned to China as an anti submarine training ship after the war. It was decommissioned again in 1969 and dissolved in 1972.
During its service, the Fletcher received 15 Combat Stars during World War II and 5 Combat Stars during the Korean War, totaling 20 Combat Stars.

In order to make up for the lack of point air defense capabilities and strengthen ocean anti-submarine capabilities, Japan built the Murasame-class destroyer in the 1990s. Its construction purpose is to gradually replace the Hatsuyuki-class multi-purpose destroyer, which is mainly used for offshore combat missions. The CH-47D was the result of a June 1976 contract for a modernized Chinook.
The improvements included a redesigned cockpit to reduce pilot workload, an advanced flight control system, and improved avionics.
The Chinook has two tandem three-bladed counter-rotating fiberglass rotors. The CH-47D is powered by two Allied Signal Engines T55-L-712 3750 shp turboshaft engines and has a maximum speed of 163 mph. The CH-47D made its first flight in May 1979. The CH-47D carries twice the load of a CH-47A and has improved performance.
The CH-47D can operate at night and in nearly all weather conditions. The CH-47D is equipped with an air-to-air refueling probe. The Chinook can accommodate a wide variety of internal payloads, including vehicles, artillery pieces, 33 to 44 troops, or 24 litters plus two medical attendants.

The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, commonly known as the "Huey", is a multipurpose military helicopter, was developed from 1955 US Army trials with the Bell Model 204. The initial designation of HU-1 (helicopter utility) led to its nickname, Huey. It was first used by the military in 1959 and went into tri-service production in 1962 as the UH-1. The last were produced in 1976 with more than 16,000 made in total, of which about 7,000 saw use during the Vietnam War and famous for its use in the Vietnam War.

The ACH-47A Chinook Guns-A-Go-Go, with a crew of eight, was armed with up to five M2 .50 Cal. or M60D 7.62mm machine guns (four window and one ramp mounted), and two fixed-mounted M24A1 20mm cannon and two M18/M18A1 pod-mounted 7.62mm miniguns , or two 19-tube 2.75 inch rocket launchers, and a chin-mounted 40mm automatic grenade launcher on the M5 armament subsystem. They also featured added armor protection for the crew and some critical components.
During the Vietnam War three test ACH-47 Chinooks, nicknamed "Easy Money," "Stump Jumper" and "Birth Control" were deployed for six months temporary duty in Vietnam. A fourth ACH-47A, called "Cost of Living," was the prototype and therefore stayed in the United States for flight testing. Though these armed birds had a successful evaluation period, each destroyed every assigned target they engaged, three succumbed to fate.
