However, the integral tank later became a weak point of the G4M,as even a small hit to the wing would cause it to catch fire, resulting in frequent damage in aerial combat. In 1936, the Royal Air Office created specifications for a new bomber for the future. Based on these specifications, Avro proposed an aircraft called the "Type 679." This aircraft was a twin-engine bomber equipped with Rolls-Royce's new 24-cylinder X-type Vulture engine. It was named "Manchester" and rolled out in 1940,with deployment to units beginning shortly thereafter. The Manchester was used for a year and a half, but due to problems with its engines and propellers, it could not be operated as intended. As a result, a plan emerged to develop the "Manchester III," which involved replacing the engines with Rolls-Royce Merlin X engines and redesigning it from twin-engine to quad-engine to compensate for the engine's lack of power . The T-2 was used by the Blue Impulse air force from 1982 to 1995. It performed a total of 175 official flight demonstrations and was beloved by many aviation fans. The aircraft used by the Blue Impulse were a mixture of early and late models, and were characterized by the installation of smoke generating devices. The F-15J Eagle is the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's main interceptor fighter.Japan's Air Self-Defense Force is the third country in the world to be equipped with the Eagle, following the United States Air Force and Israel. Having previously used the F-104J as an interceptor fighter, the JASDF investigated the FX as a successor to the F-104J. From among many candidates, the decision was made to adopt the F-15 on December 9, 1976, and the first aircraft arrived at Gifu Air Base on March 27, 1981. When first introduced, the JASDF's F-15J was essentially the equivalent of the U.S. Air Force's F-15C Block 26, with some modifications unique to the JASDF. The main modifications were the addition ofthe JASDF's own automatic warning and control system (Badge System) and a high-speed data device (J/ASW-10 Data Link System) that receives intercept control from E-2C early warning aircraft , as well as changing the antenna at the tip of the vertical tail to a mass-balanced system. The F-15J will play an active role in defending Japan's skies as the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's main fighter, alongside the upcoming FS-X. Unassembled plastic model in 1/72 scale of Curtiss P-40 Warhawk WWII fighter aircraft N variant, the final production version. The P-40 series served on all fronts of World War II as the main fighter aircraft of not only the U.S. Army Air Corps but also the Allied forces. While not the most powerful, its mass-production, ease of handling, and durability made it effective in ground attack and anti-bomber combat. The P-40N was designed with a strict weight reduction and wasthe final mass-produced model, with a total of approximately 5,200 aircraft produced , the most of any P-40 in the series. These aircraft were sent to the British, Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian air forces, and were also provided to the Soviet Union. The P-40N-5-CU model was equipped with a new canopy that significantly improved rear visibility. The current Blue Impulse began on October 19, 1958, when three F-86Fs performed aerobatics at an air show held at Hamamatsu Kita Air Base . The Japan Air Self-Defense Force established the Air Mobility Research Team at the 1st Air Wing at Hamamatsu Air Base on April 16, 1960, and formed an aerobatic flying team using F-86F Sabers under the name of Tenryu. This F-86F team later changed its name to Blue Impulse, using the call sign Impulse Blue, and became known around the world by drawing the Olympic rings and EXPO '70 in the air. After this, the Blue Impulse team performed numerous aerobatics all over Japan, but in the 1982 season, they replaced their aging F-86F with the domestically produced jet trainer T-2.The speedy aerobatics performed by the T-2 captivated many fans. Having previously used the F-86F and T-2, the Blue Impulse team switched to the latest domestically produced jet trainer T-4 in the 1996 season, a model they continue to use to this day. The T-4, capable of aerial maneuvers on a par with the F-15, delivers a more advanced and exciting performance for the spectators. Hasegawa's sharp little T-4 kit with decals for marking the planes of the JASDF aerobatic team "Blue Impulse" in their 2002 team configuration. The blue areas of the scheme are provided as decals, and the plane is shot in white plastic, so you can make this look basically like the plane even without painting (though we definitely recommend painting it!).

The Kawasaki T-4 is a twin-engine jet trainer aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force was forced to select a new trainer to replace the aging T-33A and T-1. In fiscal year 1981, a budget for a new trainer was approved andthe MTX (New Medium Jet Trainer) project was launched. The JASDF uses the T-4 for intermediate training duties -- it's a sharp little plane that's also the mount of Japan's aerobatic team, the "Blue Impulse." This is a sharp little kit, too, with fine engraved panel detail and decals for all the units that fly the T-4.

The A6M Zero Type 52 was a Japanese Navy fighter plane that served during World War II and the Pacific War. The Zero Type 21, feared by its enemies as a high-performance aircraft, began to lose speed and armament to the newer enemy fighters by the 1943s . The Type 52 was developed following the Type 32 and Type 22. To improve speed, the wings were shortened to 11 meters, the cowling (the engine cover) was redesigned , and a single thrust exhaust (an exhaust pipe that used the engine exhaust to generate some thrust) was added. This allowed the Zero Type 52 to reach a maximum speed of 590 km/h, 25 km faster than the Zero Type 22's maximum speed of 565 km/h. A total of approximately 6,000 Zero Type 52 aircraft were produced, and the planes served until Japan's defeat in the Pacific War. The Bell AH-1S Cobra is an attack helicopter designed to support ground forces. The Cobra series was developed from the UH-1 Iroquois to escort the CH-47 Chinook transport helicopterduring the Vietnam War. This model features a Lycoming T53-L-703 turboshaft engine and a reinforced powertrain to accommodate the increased power output. The increased power output also allows for a larger armament load. The maximum armament load is eight TOW missiles, 38 rockets, and a triple 20mm nose-mounted cannon with 760 rounds of ammunition. The AH-1S is also licensed and deployed by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force as an anti-tank helicopter. Combined with OH-6 helicopters, anti-tank helicopter squadronsare formed in Hokkaido and other areas. The Mitsubishi F-2 is a support jet fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. There are two types of this aircraft: the single-seat A model and the two-seat B model, with the two-seat model being mainly used for educational and training purposes. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force ( JASDF) has deployed the F-15J interceptor fighter to defend against threats from fighter jets and bombers , and the F-1 support fighter to defend against threats from ships and tanks, but the F-1s are beginning to be retired due to their aging. The F-2, jointly developed by Japan and the United States, is the successor to the F-1. Initially called the FS-X, this aircraft is based on the F-16 and is designed using the latest technology. Its distinctive exterior design includes a fuselage and wings that are slightly larger than those of the F-16, a larger radome to accommodate a new radar, and a three-section canopy to protect against bird strikes during low-altitude flight. With a total production of over 5,000 units, the F-4 Phantom II became the best-selling supersonic fighter of the liberal camp. Its excellent all-weather combat capabilities andversatility in both aerial combat and ground attacksare the reasons why it has been adopted by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, as well as many other countries, and is still in active use today. It was originally developed as an all-weather carrier-based fighter for the US Navy, and the first prototype made its first flight on May 27, 1958.The Navy developed the first mass-produced B model, followed by the N model which was an improvement on the B model, the J model which became the mainstay, and the S model which was an improvement on the J model. The Air Force also decided to adopt it as the C model, and there was the D model which was an improvement on the C model,the E model which was a long-nose type equipped with a Vulcan cannon on the nose,and the G model which was called the Wild Weasel. Like the earlier PS-1, the US-1 and US-1A are STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft. However, while the PS-1 featured on-board beaching gear for anti-submarine warfare, the US-1 and US-1A are amphibious search-and-rescue aircraft. From 1976-1999, the US-1A saved 550 lives in 500+ rescue missions.
