This O gauge starter track set contains track sections to allow a number of alternative end-to-end track formations which can be accommodated on a shelf. The thinking behind this is that as space will be at a premium a shelf-type layout can most easily be established to test O gauge locomotives and provide the modeller with a range of shunting challenges. The track supplied will easily assemble an 'Inglenook' 3 siding shunting puzzle layout (as in the illustration), or can be used for a simple end-to-end shuttle layout with a number of suggestions shown on the packaging. The track sections use Peco O gauge bullhead rail and can easily be extended using more ST-700 straights and ST-725 curves, or using the SL-700BH streamline track (use SL-10 rail joiners). When making longer plain-track extensions you will find the 1 yard length Streamline track is a more economical purchase. Departing from our normal format, this new starter set comprises components that will give the modeller alternative end-to-end track formations. The thinking behind this is that as space will be at a premium a shelf-type layout that can be quickly established will be of great benefit to modelers who just want to test out their newest O gauge locomotive acquisition.
