A Brave Warrior
After the withdrawal from the Naval treaties, plans were laid to build Kagero-class warships. The Yukikaze was the 8th completed destroyer built of the Kagero-class in January 1940. The Yukikaze saw fierce action at Midway, Guadalcanal, Mariana Islands, Leyte Gulf, as well as serving in other battles throughout the Pacific Theater. Furthermore, she also served as a patrol ship and assisted in transportation duties. At the time of her completion, she initially came armed with three dual 12.7cm gun turrets and two quadruple 61cm torpedo launchers, but in the latter stages of the War, her armament was strengthened with a complement of AA guns as well as radar changing her beautiful silhouette into one safely of ferociousness. Even at the Ten-Ichi-Go operation in April 1945 where she fought hard alongside with the doomed Yamato, she was able to save many survivors and return to port. The Yukikaze survived WWII relatively undamaged she was therefore named "the Lucky Destroyer". After the war, she was used to ferry Japanese soldiers and personnel back to Japan. Later, she was transferred to the Republic of China for war reparation and served with distinction throughout the 1960s.
Tamiya’s 1/350 Japanese Navy Destroyer Yukikaze (Movie Version) commemorates the release of the Japanese film YUKIKAZE and the celebrated WWII destroyer—the only ship of her class to survive the conflict. This special-edition kit, Tamiya part HC-25218, depicts Yukikaze as fitted for the Ten-Ichi-Go operation in April 1945, with added AA guns and radar for an authentic late-war appearance.
The full-hull model measures 338mm in length and 31mm in width, capturing the ship’s distinctive form and surface detail. Riveted side plates and degaussing cables are crisply reproduced on the hull halves, while metal anchor chain and metal propellers elevate realism straight from the box. Laser-processed machine gun parts provide a sharp, scale finish, and polycaps let the main turrets and torpedo tubes rotate freely for dynamic display. A display stand is included, and the completed model can be stored in the special commemorative packaging.

Pretty Plated Kit
The Hien was officially adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) in 1943, and stood out among its Japanese aircraft contemporaries in the Pacific War on account of its liquid-cooled Ha-40 engine, slimline fuselage and long, elegant wing. A number of different variants were produced, among them the Ki-61-Id which featured a 20cm-elongated nose to house 20mm cannons, plus 12.7mm machine guns in the wing. In fact, with 1,360 units it was the most prolifically produced Hien variant; its superior performance at higher altitudes meant that it was often given the brief of taking on incoming U.S. B29 bombers in the skies around the home islands of Japan. One IJA unit which notably deployed the Hien was the 244th Air Group led by Captain Teruhiko Kobayashi. This model features silver color plated parts and camouflage pattern decals to aid in its finishing.

A Game Changer
During WWI, much of Western Europe was reduced to a massive battlefield criss-crossed by a seemingly unending network of trenches. The original British Mk.I tank was developed to break the deadlock; the Mk.IV was a later model based on many of the same design principle, and of which around 1,000 were produced starting in March 1917. A "Male" variant was developed to smash through enemy lines and in addition to machine guns it utilized large 6-pounder guns, in contrast to the separate Female variant equipped with only machine guns for armament. The Mk.IV saw a variety of action, including a mass deployment of around 400 at the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917, additionally prevailing in the world's first tank on tank battle with the German A7V in April 1918.

This plastic model assembly kit accurately recreates the unique form of the British Mk.IV Male tank and is motorized to allow dynamic forward motion.

Defender of the Republic
In May 1940, B1 bis tanks stood in the way of German armies determined to strike a crushing blow against France on her own soil. Introduced as an upgraded version of the original Char B1, which was developed in the nineteen twenties, the B1 bis entered production in 1937. The rivet-joined hull mounted a short-barreled 75mm howitzer, while a small, one-man turret carried a longer-barreled 47mm tank gun. The B1 bis was one of the most heavily armored tanks of its time, with plating that was 60mm thick in places, amply capable of defending against anti-tank fire such as that from 37mm PAK guns. The B1 bis could more than hold its own against individual German tanks, and was greatly feared by enemy soldiers who encountered it.
Features
1/35 scale assembly model of the French B1 bis is motorized to allow dynamic forward motion.
Length: 192mm, width: 72mm.
