Syncro KRG-331 Gyro Receiver The KRG-331 receiver with built-in gyro feature the KSS (Kyosho Stability System) ,which straightens driving lines when steering control is affected on slippery or uneven roads and prevents spinouts during cornering, ultimately creating faster lap times. The traction correction function also allows you to exit through corners at higher speed. Since the user can adjust the correction rate to their preference, settings can be made according to the road surface conditions and the type of vehicle.

Most sought after World Championship buggy ‘JJ ULTIMA’ recreated in all its glory! American Joel Johnson won his first 2WD class world title at the 2nd Electric Off-Road World Championship in England in 1987 driving a modified Kyosho ULTIMA. Also, TQ’ed this event and finished 1st and 2nd and 3rd. This became known as the ‘JJ Spec’ and was popular with its custom suspension, main chassis and front-rear shock stays that enhanced performance and styling. Only third-party conversion kits were available at the time and even then, it was extremely difficult to completely reproduce the JJ specifications. Now the ‘JJ Spec’ is honored as the 13th model in the Vintage Series to commemorate Kyosho’s 60th anniversary. Joel Johnson In 1981, at just 13 years of age, Joel Johnson won the 1:12-scale U.S. National Championship, and in 1987 he won the IFMAR World Championship in the 1:10-scale 2WD Buggy class.This was the first time a Kyosho machine won a world championship, and is still a legendary accomplishment that is talked about to this day. As the years went by, this world champion machine came to be known as the “JJ Ultima.” With numerous additional National and World Championships to his credit since 1987, Joel Johnson is still racing 1:8-scale cars at the very top level, some 36 years later. Tomahawk Body Equipped with the same body used on the Tomahawk 2WD buggy, just like the original. Silver and pink stripe decals with a variety of logos recreate the signature color scheme of the Joel Johnson Spec. Side mirrors from the original have also been recreated. FRP Shocks Stays FRP shock stays flexibly absorb impact from the shock units and follow the original design in shape and color. Standard gold shocks combine with newly developed medium soft (MS) front springs.  Rear Shocks Rear shocks are also the same gold type as on the original. Medium Hard (MH) rear springs work in combination with the MS front springs to deliver exceptional maneuverability and performance over surface gaps. Servo Mount In place of the mini steering servo that was fixed with double-sided tape, the modern version of the ULTIMA uses a servo mount compatible with modern low-profile servos that are popular today. The shape of the servo saver arm has also been changed.  Front Skid The front skid on the carbon chassis improves clearance over surface gaps while front caster angle setting optimizes handling characteristics. Front Wheel Shaft Newly designed front wheel shaft with kingpin offset delivers improved straight line running stability as well as controlled initial steering response. Motor Guard Gunmetal anodized aluminum motor guard is laser-printed with the Kyosho 60th anniversary logo, which is exclusive to the special limited-edition model.  Polycarbonate Wing Polycarbonate rear wing and side plates have been recreated as per the original JJ specifications. The large side plates deliver improved stability to fully recreate the style and drive feeling of the original.  Graphite Main Chassis Features solid carbon graphite main chassis and FRP front-rear shock stays. Servo stay and battery holder have also been added for ease of assembly and versatility. Inner sponges are also built into the front tires and deliver powerful grip and control.
