Focke-Wulf TL Jäger "Flitzer" Model Set
There are times in model building when you've grown tired of the familiar classics. If you're looking for something truly unique that will make your collection stand out, the "Flitzer" is the perfect choice. Many kits depict reality – this one ignites the imagination. With this set from the rare P-series, you bring a piece of aviation history to your workbench that only existed on the drawing board. Since it's a complete model set, you don't have to waste time searching for accessories; you can dive straight into the fascinating world of the Luftwaffe in 1946.
The Focke-Wulf TL fighter is a fascinating "what if" scenario. The model impresses with its unusual shape, featuring a short fuselage and twin tail booms. Although the kit, with its 38 parts, appears manageable, it's classified as Level 4. This means that you're not looking at hours of gluing together hundreds of tiny parts, but rather a clean finish and the faithful reproduction of a prototype. It's the ideal project for a weekend when you want to achieve an exceptional result without getting bogged down in a months-long project.
The reused original templates and designs guarantee that the proportions of this hypothetical jet are accurate. Whether you have a penchant for secret projects or simply want to fill a gap in your jet history, this speedster will provide plenty of conversation starters in any display case.
The Focke-Wulf "Flitzer" (internal project name Draft VI) was an ambitious attempt to push the boundaries of jet technology at the time. Planned as a single-engine fighter, it was intended to complement or even surpass the proven Me 262. Its distinctive design features were the twin tail booms and the air intakes in the wing roots. Although the project was well advanced and a 1:1 scale wooden model existed, development was discontinued in 1945 in favor of the more advanced Focke-Wulf Ta 183 "Huckebein". With this model, you are holding in your hands a technological vision that was on the verge of becoming reality.
