The Optima Mid is remembered for its brilliant debut at the 2nd Electric Off-Road Car World Championships in England 1987, where the prototype occupied 5 out of the 10 qualifiers in the A-Main final and finished in second place.
Optima’s chassis layout with midship motor position and undercarriage grew in popularity and became the foundation for modern racing buggies. It is this Optima Mid that will be reproduced as the 10th model in the Kyosho vintage series. The main chassis is made from 6016T6 aluminum alloy that guarantees high rigidity. Each component of the car has been updated to match a modern power system, such as the 48-pitch gear for improved efficiency and precision gear ratio setting. The recreated Optima Mid also features adjustable belt tension using a tensioner not available at the time, ultimately achieving a smooth drive with minimal loss. Furthermore, equipment from the Turbo Optima Mid such as the FRP front and rear shock stays, and countersunk main chassis have also been incorporated into this model. The racy form of the original Optima Mid body design is faithfully reproduced in line with the popular vintage series. Experience the driving spirit of the Optima Mid incorporating the state-of-the-art mechanics from the past that cannot be matched by anything today.
Updated Design
The basic design follows the 1987 Optima Mid. As the name suggests, the layout allows for midship motor mount and driving performance optimized by centrally locating heavy components on the chassis.
6061T6 Aluminum Alloy Chassis
The 6061T6 aluminum alloy main chassis achieves an excellent balance between rigidity and crash resistance and uses hex screws with the countersunk holes for a flat underside of the chassis.
Shock Stays
The front and rear shock stays have been updated from the original aluminum to FRP similar to the Turbo Optima Mid specs.
Gold Anodized Oil Shocks
Equipped with gold anodized oil shocks that resemble the pressure shocks that dominated the era. Threaded shock bodies with dial adjustment collars allow for easy ride height tuning for precision chassis setting.
Optimized Suspension
Stabilizer end mounting holes have been added to the front suspension arms. The quality of the material has been optimized for increased strength and driving stability.
Belt Tensioner
Belt tension can be adjusted through the newly equipped belt tensioner, which also improves driving efficiency and reduces power loss.
Drive Belt Cover
The belt cover has been updated from the previous vacuum-formed part to a molded resin part that effectively protects the drive belt from dirt and dust. The new belt cover is easier to assemble and provides more complete protection from dust.
Slipper Clutch
48-pitch spur gear is equipped with a slipper clutch that enhances traction and protects the gears from shocks while driving.
Standard 48P Gears
Standard 48P gears are now used and can be interchanged with optional gears and slipper pads from the RB series.
New Wheels
New wheels recreate the original Optima Mid design and include the same tires as the Turbo Optima for excellent grip.

A monocoque frame made from tempered A6061T6 pressed clear anodized aluminum alloy used for aircraft manufacture combines with a glass reinforced resin upper deck to deliver light weight and durability for hard driving. The battery stay is compatible with all battery types and uses a hook & loop fastener (includes battery strap printed with KYOSHO logo) for easy battery mounting.
Front and rear double wishbone suspension adopts the proven OPTIMA design. Similar front-rear geometry ensures handling stability at all speed ranges. Impact-resistant nylon lower arm combines with metal rod upper arm to enable camber adjustment. Upgrade with optional titanium adjust rod 38mm (No.92413) for both front and rear.
The same large capacity 12mm diameter oil shocks as the OPTIMA deliver superior running stability over uneven surfaces. Long type nylon resin molded shock tower enables tuning for modern RC racing circuits. Upgrade with optional gold shocks OTW128 (F) and OTW129 (R).
Optimized geometry with aluminum steering link and metal bushings in combination with the servo saver incorporating aluminum pipe and metal spring design used in current racing buggies, delivers stable and precise steering feel. Upgrade with optional ball bearings and titanium adjust rod 50mm (No.92416).
Toe angle settings on the rear hub carriers can be set to 1.0°, 2.0°, 2.5°by replacing resin bushings. Detailed settings can be adjusted according to the specific racing conditions.
Gear module has been changed to 48-pitch from the original model’s 8-pitch to deliver reduced drive loss. In addition to the newly designed 46 nylon 57T 1st gear, all other gears are upgraded to the sintered metal gears from the OPTIMA. Upgrade with optional diff OTW101 to improve driving feel.
Gearbox is equipped with slipper clutch to protect the gearbox and drive system from sudden load changes such as jump landings. Easy to adjust and adaptable to various racing conditions. Upgrade with optional slipper pad (SCW021 HD) for compatibility with higher power and hard driving.
Included motor guard (was only available as optional upgrade on the original ULTIMA) is made from A6061T6 material and delivers increased durability. Resin wing mount provides choice of 2 height settings and angle can be set between 3 ° - 6 ° with shims. Previously made from polycarbonate, the resin wing delivers improved crash resistance. In addition to white, there are 5 color options to add extra style to your machine.
Rear tires feature optimized multi-pin pattern to produce stable grip on a wide variety of surfaces and have been recreated in the image of the original hard block tires. Upgrade with optional OTT244S (Soft) and OTT244H (hard) tires. High rigidity one-piece wheels replace the 50mm three-piece wheels of the original Ultima. In addition to white, there are 3 color options to choose from.

Kyosho has taken its standard touring car chassis and given it a full model makeover that has evolved performance to a new level. A simplified design with fewer parts has improved maintenance efficiency and reduced weight while core strength and rigidity has been increased through new materials and ribbing and stiffeners on front and rear. In addition, the symmetrical chassis design synergizes excellent front-rear balance through the suspension with responsive control, irrespective of power source. Featuring slipper clutch, front & rear gear differentials, oil shocks and full ball bearing specs, the high durability and impact resistance allows drivers to unleash the full potential of the chassis. Brake disc wheel hubs with two different offsets (0mm, +5mm) provide compatibility with 190mm and 200mm width body styles and allows the wheelbase to be adjusted to 274mm by replacing some parts (sold separately) for compatibility with other 1/10 scale body styles, in addition the body included. The Readyset package comes fully assembled and includes everything except charger and battery for the chassis, and batteries for the transmitter.

An all new performance based drift platform with a newly designed electronics, making the FAZER D2 the new standard for radio control Drift.
The FAZER series Readyset is primed for action straight out of the box, simply load a charged battery on the car and insert batteries into the transmitter. Now the long-awaited RWD drift-spec FAZER D2 model has arrived! Rear two-wheel drive (RWD) is the standard configuration for current 1/10 scale drifting R/C cars and slides over the road surface under heavy counter-steer, just like a true drifting machine. With its drift-spec RWD chassis, the FAZER D2 features different weight distribution and suspension design to the standard FAZER as well as a receiver with built-in gyro unit that automatically controls counter-steer for optimal body slide. The gyro controls both steering and throttle, allowing newcomers to drifting to drift drive like a pro. The chassis also incorporates other modern R/C drift car components such as long-span suspension arms and a high-mounted motor for easy handling and setup. Even though this FAZER is packaged as a Readyset, you can still change and upgrade parts for custom tuning and setting of the D2 like a pure R/C car. To complete the full drift machine experience, this model includes Kyosho’s ultra-scale body and a variable wheelbase that allows a variety of body styles to be mounted. Traditionally, 1/10 scale drift cars have been the domain of experienced drivers but the complete FAZER D2 Readyset package brings the thrill of drifting machines within easy reach.
Kyosho’s meticulously finished ‘ULTRA SCALE BODY’ faithfully reproduces the smallest details of the car's body including light buckets, bumpers and mirrors to create a realistic ‘action display-quality model’. The ‘ULTRA SCALE BODY PLUS’ takes this even further by eliminating mounting holes that are drilled into the polycarbonate body.

This model is based on the 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and has been extensively refined with Kyosho’s original wide overfenders for an expanded stance, while custom aerodynamic features enhance both style and performance. Long-span front double wishbone suspension provides plenty of steering angle with adjustable caster, roll center, and other geometry.
High mount position of the motor induces moderate roll characteristics. User-friendly G22 brushed motor is included as standard with a gear cover to prevent dirt etc. from interfering with the drive train.
Motor mount eliminates need for tricky gear backlash (mesh) adjustment. Gear ratio can be changed using the elongated hole to fit Kyosho 48P 16-37T pinion gears.
New KS4072-06W servo delivers ideal steering characteristics for drift driving and works in combination with newly developed gyro unit that produces optimal counter-steer control.
Equipped with a newly developed KRG-331D receiver incorporating built-in gyro unit optimized for drift driving. The gyro moderates both steering and throttle (speed control), and the gain (sensitivity) of each can be adjusted with a dial.
The ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) is mounted at the rear of the car to optimize weight distribution for drifting. The ESC is fixed in a special tray that can be removed with a single screw for easy maintenance.
The resin main chassis is split into front and rear sections, and the connection points can be changed to adjust the wheelbase to suit the body being mounted.
Newly designed concealed body mounts mean the fixing posts and pins do not protrude externally, allowing a more realistic appearance of the exquisite ultra-scale body.
