Aqueous Hobby Color paint is water based, which means you will never run out of thinner/reducer – you can use regular water. Tool cleanup is also easier as you can use water. Aqueous Hobby Color paint does contain a mild solvent in it which helps a lot with the adhesion. Leveling capabilities of this paint are high, it provides a glossy finish with a light texture, creating an excellent paint finish.Gloss levels of the Aqueous paint can be adjusted using additives H-40 Flat Base can be mixed with any color and make the paint semi-gloss or even matte/flat. Mix ratio between 5% and 10% is recommended. Mr. Aqueous Hobby Colors are ready for a regular brush application. They are also airbrush friendly; however, it is recommended to reduce it before use with an airbrush. It dry fast and leaves a self-leveling, durable, scratch resistant, flat finish that is completely resistant to further handling. Because this primer is self-leveling it does not hide the minute details of the model. Directions For Use: Shake the bottle before using. Pour the desired amount into the airbrush cup or paint cup. Primer does not have to be thinned for air brushing or when using a paint brush. When applying with a airbrush spray from an 8-inch distance for better coverage. Primer is self-leveling and will not hide any of the fine detail when dry.

Model Air is used directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prime the surface, and then apply Model Air in several layers. The colors dry very rapidly and form a homogenous paint film of extraordinary resistance while preserving even the smallest detail of the model. For airbrushing these colors, the compressor air pressure is recommended at 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be applied with a brush. For correct airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. It can be applied directly to the model using an airbrush or diluted with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. Metal Color dries very quickly, maintaining the smallest details present on the model and forming a homogeneous and self-leveling layer of extraordinary resistance a few hours after application. Metal Color can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colors from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. It can also be applied with a brush. Recommended compressor settings for our colors are around 15-20 Psi or 0.5-1 kg. It is advisable, in the case of airframes and aircraft model components, to apply Gloss Black Primer, available in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (ref. 73.660) and 200 ml/6.76 fl oz (ref. 74.660) with hinge cap and dropper, to enhance the special characteristics of the aluminium shades. Metal Color dries very quickly, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before applying any paint masks. Also available is Gloss Metal Varnish in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (ref. 26.657) with hinged cap and dropper. For proper maintenance of the airbrush, we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. It is a versatile type that can be used not only for plastic models, but also for metals such as etching parts and resin materials that are difficult to adhere to. The color is gray. *When diluting SF287 Mr. Primer Surfacer (bottle type) with regular "Mr. Thinner", if you dilute it more than twice as much, the soluble components may become diluted and solidify. We recommend using "Mr. Leveling Thinner", which has high dissolving power, for dilution and tool maintenance.*When using "Mr. Thinner", add a small amount of "Mr. Retarder Mild" or "True Solvent Liquid". Adding soluble components makes it less likely to solidify.
