Each color is based on extensive research by our experts of the existing and previous military references so as to offer the modeler the highest possible historical accuracy. Model Air is used directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prime the surface, and then apply Model Air in several layers. The colors dry very rapidly and form a homogenous paint film of extraordinary resistance while preserving even the smallest detail of the model. For airbrushing these colors, the compressor air pressure is recommended at 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be applied with a brush. For correct airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. Aqueous Hobby Color paint is water based, which means you will never run out of thinner/reducer – you can use regular water. Tool cleanup is also easier as you can use water. Aqueous Hobby Color paint does contain a mild solvent in it which helps a lot with the adhesion. Leveling capabilities of this paint are high, it provides a glossy finish with a light texture, creating an excellent paint finish.Gloss levels of the Aqueous paint can be adjusted using additives H-40 Flat Base can be mixed with any color and make the paint semi-gloss or even matte/flat. Mix ratio between 5% and 10% is recommended. Mr. Aqueous Hobby Colors are ready for a regular brush application. They are also airbrush friendly; however, it is recommended to reduce it before use with an airbrush. As we mentioned earlier, regular water can be used as a reducer, but for the best result we recommend using Mr. Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 or T-111). Up to 150% of the reducer can be added to Aqueous paint for airbrush use. When spraying paints with an airbrush, 2-3 coats are recommended. For regular brush use 1-2 coats is enough. If painting a light color over a darker base surface, more layers of paint may be required.

Mr. Super Metallic series is a metallic paint that uses high-quality fine metal particles to create an excellent metallic look. The ingredients have been improved from the previous "Super Metallic" series! Itnow produces a more beautiful metallic look than ever before. The base ingredients are the same as those of Mr. Color, so please use Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Rapid Thinner, or Mr. Leveling Thinner for dilution and cleaning.For airbrush painting, dilute the paint in a ratio of 1 part paint to 0 or 1-2 parts thinner. The raw material composition differs depending on the color, so metallic colors with low viscosity can be used as is. Since the fine metal particles quickly settle to the bottom, you can achieve an even finish by diluting the mixture and stirring it appropriately while airbrushing. *SM201-205, 207, and 209 can be coated with Mr. Super Clear or water-based top coat (in the case of spray cans). *SM206 and SM208 can only be used with water-based top coats (there is a possibility of a slight cloudiness). Otherwise, the surface will become dull at once. If you use bottled paint, you can coat it with water-based hobby color and acrylic gloss.

Aqueous Hobby Color paint can be diluted with water if desired, while paint brushes can be cleaned and washed out in water. Ensuring that this is beforethe paint is dry. The solvent contained in Aqueous Hobby Color paint is very mild.It provides a glossy texture and very good levelling qualities (ie the smoothness of coated film of paint), resulting in a very good level of painted finish. In particular, the gloss level achieved with the use of Aqueous Hobby Color gloss paints is excellent. Gloss levels obtained using gloss coat Aqueous Hobby Colors can be adjusted by using H-40 Flat Base - mix approximately 5% of H-40 Flat Base to convert gloss colors to a matt finish, or 5 to 10% for a semi gloss finish. The percentage of Flat Base used can be adjusted to vary the amount of gloss level obtained. It is not necessary to dilute Aqueous Hobby Color for brush painting as a basic rule, but if using an airbrush to spray Aqueous Hobby Color, dilute the paint with 100 to 150% Mr.Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 0r T-111).When brush painting, generally 1 to 2 coats are recommended, and 2 to 3 coats when using an air brush. If painting a light color over a darker base surface, more coats of paint may be required. *When painted on ABS resin parts, the paint penetrates into the resin and the parts become friable or develop cracks. Check the instructions in the assembly manual or on the parts runner and try to avoid painting on ""ABS resin parts"".

Mr. Masking Sol NEO is an emulsion type masking material that uses vinyl. Use the brush attached to the cap to apply it to the area you want to mask. If the area you want to apply it to is small, it is recommended to use a fingertip or Mr. Glue Applicator in combination. It will dry and form a film in about 30 minutes to an hour. *It cannot be cut with a cutter, so please use it to mask large areas or to prevent paint from getting inside when spraying.
