Gull-Winging its way into hearts across the world! The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is a piece of automobile legend, the famed German maker's super sports car with gull wings that once were seen, were never forgotten. It was a 1954 release, and drew largely upon a successful racing prototype from 2 years earlier, inheriting the inner mechanics of a race car and THAT sublime silhouette. What could the world do but embrace such a thing of beauty? In fact, the gull wings were not only an aesthetic masterstroke, they were born of necessity: the 300 SL's state-of-the-art tubular space frame made the use of "regular" side-opening doors somewhat impractical. The body had in fact received a few minor tweaks from the original prototype, resulting in a more elegant road-going sports car-esque appearance. Power was provided by an inline-6 engine that featured direct injection technology (a world first) that generated 215hp and a considerable amount of speed. Naturally, fans across the world clamored (and still do) to get their hands on the 300 SL. Features This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. Metal transfers are provided to depict mirror surfaces and logos. Features realistic synthetic rubber tires.

The Porsche 959 was first unveiled at the 1983 Frankfurt auto show as a study for a full time 4 wheel drive Group B super sports car. Back then, the automobile was still far from being completed and its potential a mystery. The 959's awesome capabilities matured through thorough research and competition experience with the automobile. It demonstrated its outstanding abilities during the grueling Paris-Dakar Rally, and the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race. Porsche has taken their race car technology and put it into the 959, to produce a car that provides every comfort, with smooth running and the low interior noise expected of a road car, while offering high safety reserves. Thus the 959, despite its massive 450hp engine power, can be drive easily at its lower RPM ranges. The 2848cc engine is a descendent of the famous 956 and 962 Porsche Group C racer. It is an air/liquid cooled, flat 6 cylinder, DOHC equipped with two turbochargers, providing a top speed of more than 300km/h. The 959 maintains superb acceleration under all driving conditions, yet it also achieves short braking distances that prove to be a reassuring factor for all classes of drivers. The hollow wheel spokes increase air volume to the brakes and accommodate the fat, low profile Dunlop Denloc tires, and is equipped with a pressure sensor to detect punctures. The Porsche 959 is the car that raised the standard of sports car thinking to a new plateau, by exceeding every known yardstick of handling and performance.

Hi-spec race/road car fans had something to cheer about in October 2000, with the release of the Skyline GT-R V Spec II. This precision plastic model assembly kit beautifully recreates the car, which featured minor updates to its predecessors, the most dramatic of which were perhaps the bonnet with NACA ducts, and the enlarged rear wing. V Spec II brake discs are also accurately captured. The underside of the model also has plenty to catch the eye, with a realistic representation of the multi-link suspension and 4WD system, while the diffuser is rendered using clear parts. The kit also includes parts depicting tuning options such as Nismo wheels, a GT wing stay and drilled brake discs. Decals are included to depict the limited edition "N?r" release of this thoroughbred vehicle.

There is no better way to test the toughness of an automobile than by entering it in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Subaru understood this when they first entered the WRC back in 1990. In 1992, the Legacy was succeeded by the more compact Impreza, which was imbued with two years of tested technology. This sports sedan generated intense popularity among consumers looking for a street car with the guts of a WRC contender. In August 2000, a second generation of Impreza was born. One of the specially tuned versions of this car was the Impreza WRX STi (Subaru Tecnica International). Its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine adopts a reinforced cylinder block, molybdenum coated steel pistons, high capacity turbo and intercooler. The power of the STi model was boosted to 280hp with 38kg-m maximum torque. This power was efficiently transmitted to the four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, also developed by the STi team. The suspension adopts rally-proven 4-wheel struts, ensuring a smooth ride over all road conditions. Blister style over-fenders on the powerful four-door body and an enlarged air intake on the hood give the Impreza WRX STi a truly impressive appearance. Features 1/24 Scale Plastic Assembly Kit. Overall Length: 184mm, Overall Width: 73mm. Every characteristics of the actual car such as the blister type fenders have been accurately reproduced. Wheels and brake calipers come pre-painted in gold color. Tail lights and winkers have been molded with clear red and clear orange plastic. Interior arrangement has been reproduced down to the finest detail. Includes metal-plated parts for a realistic reproduction of the headlights and muffler's end. Emblem and mirrors reproduced with metal transfers.

From 1969 through to the early 1970s, the Skyline GT-R achieved an unbelievable streak of fifty proud in a row in the Japanese Touring Car Race. Sixteen years later, its successful name was passed on to the R32 type, which was developed as a base machine for Group-A races. To take full advantage of its powerful 2.6l, 6-cylinder twin turbo engine, it was equipped with a 4WD system, which provided unrivaled race performance. 1995 saw the larger body and refined mechanics of the R33. In 1999, the technology cultivated over a long racing history was unsparingly poured into the new R34 type, developed with "ultimate driving pleasure" in mind. The R34 features a smaller body and a sturdier structure, with ample consideration to its aerodynamics. The adjustable two-level rear spoiler as well as a front and rear diffuser (V-spec), regulate the flow of air under the chassis, heightening control. The R34's impressive speed is accounted for by a modification in valve timing and turbo-charging of the GETRAG 6-speed transmission controlled engine. Further refinements have been adopted such as an electronically controlled front/rear power distribution 4WD system and a multi-link suspension. Undergoing extensive testing in Japan, its driving performance was further improved in Germany, on the Nurburgring. Unrivaled speed and control have made the R34 version of the GT-R Nissan's, if not Japan's, index of quality. Features 1/24 scale plastic assembly kit. Overall length: 190mm Overall width: 79mm Overall height: 56mm All changes featured in the Skyline V.spec R34 model have been accurately reproduced. Internal equipment, which has been designed for ease of assembly, has been replicated down to the finest detail. Front grill has been reproduced with nylon mesh. Multi-link suspension and 4WD system has also been precisely recreated. Front and rear diffuser comes as transparent parts.
