Games Workshop Layer paints have a lighter pigment count than base paints, meaning they can be applied in multiple layers to help bring out extra detail on your miniatures. They’re particularly great for edge highlighting. Layer – Step 1 Apply Layer paints to your palette and thin them to the consistency you want with water. Then, apply them over the base paints into areas where you want a brighter colour. Layer – Step 2 If you want to pick out details and make them pop then succssive applications of Layer paints, working from darker to brighter, will let you highlight areas so they stand out.

Updated Bottle - Now 18ml!!!We have introduced a new formulation that will surprise you with its amazing brushability, excellent opacity and superb matt finish.You will notice that the colors dry quickly, forming a homogeneous and self-leveling layer that respects the smallest detail present in your model. In fact, we recommend applying them on a previously primed surface.Packaging: Model Color is presented in bottles of 18 ml/0.6 fl oz with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so that It can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.

Aqueous Hobby Color is a very safe paint which has a high degree of user friendliness. Aqueous Hobby Color paint can be diluted with water if desired, while paint brushes can be cleaned and washed out in water. Ensuring that this is before the paint is dry. The solvent contained in Aqueous Hobby Color paint is very mild. It provides a glossy texture and very good levelling qualities (i.e. the smoothness of coated film of paint), resulting in a very good level of painted finish. In particular, the gloss level achieved with the use of Aqueous Hobby Color gloss paints is excellent. Gloss levels obtained using gloss coat Aqueous Hobby Colors can be adjusted by using H-40 Flat Base - mix approximately 5% of H-40 Flat Base to convert gloss colors to a matt finish, or 5 to 10% for a semi gloss finish. The percentage of Flat Base used can be adjusted to vary the amount of gloss level obtained. It is not necessary to dilute Aqueous Hobby Color for brush painting as a basic rule, but if using an airbrush to spray Aqueous Hobby Color, dilute the paint with 100 to 150% Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 or T-111). When brush painting, generally 1 to 2 coats are recommended, and 2 to 3 coats when using an air brush. If painting a light color over a darker base surface, more coats of paint may be required.

Metal Color is the innovative range of metallic colors with a water-based formulation, which uses aluminium pigments in its production. The Metal Color range offers a wide range of shades in order to imitate the metallic finish of aircraft of all types and eras. Of exceptional brightness and extraordinary power of reflection, it allows the modeler to carry out the full range of painting techniques without the need to resort to enamels and lacquers. It can be applied directly to the model using an airbrush or diluted with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. Metal Color dries very quickly, maintaining the smallest details present on the model and forming a homogeneous and self-leveling layer of extraordinary resistance a few hours after application. Metal Color can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colors from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. It can also be applied with a brush. Recommended compressor settings for our colors are around 15-20 Psi or 0.5-1 kg. It is advisable, in the case of airframes and aircraft model components, to apply Gloss Black Primer, available in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (ref. 73.660) and 200 ml/6.76 fl oz (ref. 74.660) with hinge cap and dropper, to enhance the special characteristics of the aluminium shades. Metal Color dries very quickly, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before applying any paint masks. Also available is Gloss Metal Varnish in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (ref. 26.657) with hinged cap and dropper. For proper maintenance of the airbrush, we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. Safety: Always follow the information on the product label. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro- 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction. Packaging:Available in 32 ml/1.08 fl oz bottles with a hinged cap and eyedropper closure. Includes stainless steel stirring ball to improve paint mixing.
