Begin with the "skeletal build," assembling the creature's skeleton piece by piece; the "dinosaur build" then allows you to attach the outer skin parts to the skeleton. The Pteranodon's gigantic beak, which has a delicate skeleton covered with tough keratin, is three-dimensionalized based on the latest theory, including the structure of its mouth.
