Aoshima's Full-Hull Series Gets a Long-Awaited Renewal!!
The outfitting parts have been newly researched and redesigned. By incorporating multiple slide mechanisms into the molds, we've accurately reproduced the intricate details of the 1/700 scale.
We proudly present the reborn, more precise 1/700 scale warship (full-hull model) series.
Maya was commissioned as the third ship of the Takao-class heavy cruisers. During the Pacific War, she fought in fierce battles including operations in the Solomon Islands and the Battle off Attu. After participating in the Battle of the Philippine Sea in 1944, she was sunk during the Battle of Leyte Gulf by a torpedo attack from the U.S. submarine USS Dace.
This kit recreates Maya in her 1944 configuration, after being damaged at Truk Lagoon in 1943 and subsequently repaired and converted into an anti-aircraft cruiser. The conversion included the removal of her No.3 main turret and the addition of six twin 12.7cm high-angle gun mounts and twelve triple 25mm anti-aircraft guns.
This 1/700 scale plastic model kit features newly designed equipment parts, including high-angle guns and anti-aircraft weaponry.

The Ōnami is the second ship of the Takanami‑class general‑purpose destroyers, entering service in 2003. Based on the earlier Murasame‑class design, the class features several updates, including the adoption of a 127 mm main gun. The hull and superstructure incorporate angled surfaces to enhance stealth performance. A total of five ships were built, and together with the preceding Murasame‑class and the succeeding Akizuki‑class, they form the core of the JMSDF escort fleet.
This kit is easy to assemble thanks to its low parts count, while still accurately capturing the details of the Ōnami. A newly printed full‑color painting guide is included.

Newly added full‑color painting guide
Newly included decals for low‑visibility markings

Mines‑Spec R34
In January 1999, the R34 Skyline GT‑R (BNR34) was born from the already‑dominant R33 GT‑R. Its power unit was a further‑refined version of the legendary RB26DETT carried over from the R32. Although its maximum output remained at the self‑imposed domestic limit of 280 PS, it boasted 40.0 kg·m of torque and an impressive 15.6 kg·m per liter—making it the most powerful Japanese engine of its time. A newly developed 6‑speed manual transmission, co‑engineered with Getrag, was adopted. The body was downsized compared to the R33, greatly enhancing handling performance. Production sadly ended in August 2002 due to emissions regulations, closing the chapter on this iconic model.
