The British fighter Spitfire – one of the “flying legends” of World War II. The Spitfire Mk.IX modification has raised on base of the Mk.V in 1942 with the installation of the more potent engine. This airplane was reliable and easy in service and possessed excellent flight characteristics. The Mk.IX were used in the European theatre of WWII in many roles – as universal (F), low-altitude (LF) and high-altitude (HF) fighters, and as fighter-bombers. Spitfire Mk.IX were in service of RAF, USAAF, Air Forces of USSR, France, Italy, Czechoslovakia and some other states. Spitfire Mk.VII fighters were built since August 1942. This modification has intended for intercepting high-altitude enemy aircraft and had a pressurize cabin and wing with extended tips. The legendary Р-51 Mustang was one of the best fighter aircraft of the WWII period. This airplane has designed by North American Corporation by the order of the British RAF. The prototype NA-73X made the maiden flight at October 26, 1940. In Great Britain the airplane received the name Mustang. USAAF also were interested of the new fighter and marked it P-51. The last modification with Allison engine – Р-51A – has built in 1942. The airplane had high speed and big range, but its rate of climb and service ceiling were insufficient. Р– 51A were in combat service in India and China in the middle of 1943. The modification Р-51В was built in May 1943. It differed in the installation of potent and high altitude Packard Мerlin engine. The airplane Mustang with this engine became one of the fastest fighters in the world. It had huge range, was well armed and armored. Mustangs, produced by a plant in Dallas, were meant as Р-51С. Airplanes put on Lend-Lease by the British RAF, have received a designation Mustang Mk.III. The bubble canopy named «Malcolm Hood» was installed on them. It allowed to improve the view from a cabin. The UH-60 Black Hawk is one of the world’s most widely used multi-purpose helicopters. With approximately 5,000 units produced and deployed in over 30 countries across Europe, Asia, South America, and other regions, its versatility is evident in its many variants—transport, rescue, medical, anti-submarine, and special operations models. A standard Black Hawk crew includes two pilots and a crew commander, with pilots handling flight operations and mission execution, while the commander oversees technical maintenance and overall readiness. The crew may also feature one or two gunners operating six-barrel machine guns or other weapons systems when needed. For specialized missions, additional personnel such as rescue specialists may join the crew. Specification Box size: 217 x 135 x 32 mm Number of details: 32 Figures Availability: Yes Figures count: 3

Gotha Go 244B-2 WWII German Transport Aircraft Difficulties encountered in the use of cargo gliders and a shortage of aircraft to tow them led to the creation of a motorised version of the Go 242, the Go 244 transport aircraft. These medium-sized transport aircraft were converted Gotha Go 242 airframes of various modifications. Aircraft engines were installed in front of the tail beams, fuel tanks were mounted inside the aircraft, and the cockpit was equipped with the necessary equipment and instruments for flight. The aircraft engines were most often powered by trophy French Gnome-Rhone 14M engines. Defensive armament consisted of MG 15 or MG 81Z 7.9 mm machine guns. The Go 244B-2 modification was based on the Go 242B-2 airframe and, like the airframe, featured an original landing gear with oil shock absorbers. The Go 244 was in service with several Luftwaffe transport squadrons based in Greece and other countries. Later, these aircraft were used in flight schools and training centres. During World War I, the belligerent sides used enemy aircraft as fully functional combat units. In addition to purely combat use, the captured technology helped assess the technological development level of the enemy and identify its strengths and weaknesses. The same practice continued during World War II. Both the Allied and Axis powers extensively used captured enemy aircraft in their air forces. For example, a Ju 88A-5 bomber from 2/KGr 106 of the Luftwaffe mistakenly landed in England on November 26, 1941. The aircraft was given British identification markings, a new camouflage, and the serial number HM509, and it flew as part of the RAF until May 1944. Another interesting story involves a Ju 88A-4, captured by American forces in Italy in the fall of 1943. This bomber was incorporated into the 86th Fighter Squadron of the USAAF, where it received its original paint scheme and a bright emblem featuring an image of an Indian on the left side of the fuselage. Later, it was flown to the United States, where its appearance initially caused panic among air surveillance observers, as its silhouette was recognized as an enemy aircraft. The captured Ju 88A-4 was later stationed at several US Air Force bases and used in various public events. Markings Ju 88A-5 HM509, No. 1426 (Enemy Aircraft) Flight RAF, Collyweston, 1942 Ju 88A-4, 86th Fighter Squadron USAAF, Foggia, October 1943 Specifications Model size (length x width): 300 x 418 mm Box size: 410 x 260 x 55 mm Number of details: 271
