AOSHIMA (1186)

The Type 96 WAPC is a contemporary Japanese armored personnel carrier. The first prototypes of the car were developed in the early 1990s, and serial production started in 1996 and is still going on. It is estimated that in 2014 there were 365 Type 96 WAPC vehicles in the line. The drive is provided by a single motor Mitsubishi 6D40 with a power of 360 HP. It is armed with a single 40mm Type 96 automatic grenade launcher and one 12.7mm M2HB machine gun. The Type 96 WAPC armored personnel carrier was developed by the Komatsu concern on behalf of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. The vehicle can gather up to eight landing troops on board in full inventory. The vehicle's cover is provided by steel armor, which provides protection against small arms and artillery shells. Transporter Type 96 WAPC is characterized by great maneuverability and very high mobility - both on the road and off-road. The maximum speed of the vehicle is up to 100 km / h! The vehicle also has a very rich electronic equipment and a battlefield management system. Since 2017, tests have been carried out on vehicle prototypes to replace the Type 96 WAPC in the line. The only user of this type of vehicle is the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. The Type 96 Armored Vehicle is the first full-scale armored vehicle of the Ground Self-Defense Force, which has been deployed since 1996. The kit reproduces the type with 12.7mm heavy machine gun called B type. Features The B type equipped with a 12.7mm machine gun is produced as a single product. The rear hatch can be opened and closed by partial replacement, the interior also reproduces the fire extinguisher and benches. Driver's seat windshield parts for reproduction when driving on public roads are included. A large radome part is included as a new bonus part.

Shiranui (sometimes known as Shiranuhi) was a Japanese destroyer laid down in 1937, launched in June 1938, and commissioned in the Imperial Japanese Navy in December 1939. At the time of launching, the ship was 118.5 m long, 10.8 m wide, and her standard displacement was about 2,100 tons. Destroyer Shiranui's top speed was up to 35-36 knots. The main armament at the time of the launch was 6 127 mm guns in three twin turrets, and the secondary armament was 4 25 mm cannons, depth charge launchers and eight 610 mm torpedo tubes. Shiranui was the second destroyer in the Kagero-class. Units of this type were created as part of the Japanese fleet expansion program of 1937 and 1939. They returned to the use of strong artillery (6 127 mm guns), which had already appeared on the Fubuki-class destroyers. The provisions of the disarmament treaties were also not respected, thanks to the czum the Japanese designers had complete freedom in designing. As a result, units with strong artillery and torpedo armament, good sea performance, and especially - unlike the previous Japanese destroyers - had no problems with stability and overall durability of the structure. The only drawback was the weak anti-aircraft armament, which, however, was systematically strengthened during the war in the Pacific. Destroyer Shiranui began its participation in World War II by carrying out escort tasks of aircraft carriers on their way to Pearl Harbor. In January 1942, he was still assigned as an aircraft carrier escort and operated in the South Pacific. In March 1942, he also took part in the Japanese fleet's rally to the Indian Ocean. In the summer of 1942, he continued to be at the center of the most important events in the Pacific, as he took part in the Battle of Midway. However, from the end of summer 1942 until the end of 1943, the destroyer was renovated and modernized. After returning to service, he performed mainly convoy and escort tasks. The destroyer Shiranui sank on October 27, 1944 as a result of attacks by US air forces during the Battle of Leyte Bay. This is an injection-plastic ship model kit. This kit was made with slide molds to achieve precise and accurate molding; updates have been made to the aircraft and various equipment, with a focus on the destroyer's main guns and machine guns. This "raku-pura" (easy plastic) snap kit builds a Nissan GT-R without paint or glue; you can fully assemble it straight out of the box! We recommend having a pair of nippers and tweezers ready, though, to make assembly even easier. This version of the kit comes with a Vibrant Red body and black chassis, and includes metallic and clear parts as well. Metallic stickers are included for the detailing, but experienced modellers can still use their favorite paints to add even more detail. Completed model measures 147mm long.

The I-156 (originally I-56) was a Japanese submarine that was laid under the keel in 1926, launched in March 1928, and finally completed in March 1929. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 101 m, width 8 m, and the maximum speed on the surface was up to 20 knots. The ship was armed with two 120 mm guns and eight 533 mm torpedo tubes. From 1945, the unit was able to carry Kaiten torpedoes. The I-156 was of the Kaidai type. It is often classified as a "submairne cruiser", but the term "ocean submarine" also fits most closely. Undoubtedly, the I-156 was characterized by a large range of navigation, relatively high autonomy and good seagoing performance. I-156 in the 1930s operated mainly in home and Chinese waters. In the first weeks of World War II in the Pacific, he supported Japanese actions in Malaya and against the then Dutch East Indies. He also took part in the Battle of Midway in June 1942, and in 1943 he operated briefly in the Aleutian region. However, after this episode, it was intended primarily for school and training tasks. In April 1945, she was reinstated in line service as the Kaiten torpedo carrier. The I-156 happily lived to see the end of the war and was scrapped in 1946.
