Named after the wartime Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill was a topsail schooner built for the British to enter Tall Ship Races. In 1964, with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh as the patron, the Sail Training Association raised money for the construction of the ship. The beautiful, three mast schooner was launched in 1966, entering many races and training young sailors until being sold in 2000. Originally, the Kyalami 9H Endurance Skyline Turbo was build for the October 3, 1982 WEC Japan 6-hour endurance race held at Fuji Speedway. Unfortunately, the vehicle was not completed in time to enter the race, and instead first entered the 9-hour endurance Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa that November. A further setback, the car retired from the race after going off-course, and ended up retired in other races as well, typically due to heat-related trouble. Aoshima brushes up their kit of the AV-98 Ingram Unit 1 from "Patlabor" under the supervision of desiger Yutaka Izubuchi! The flexible fabric covering over the Ingram's joints are realistically sculpted and cast in plastic; the leg hatch and cockpit hatch can be opened and closed. A pilot figure of Akira Izumino is included too. The head shutter and patrol lamp can be opened and closed with parts replacement. The Shin Meiwa US-2 is a modern Japanese flying boat. The first prototypes of the machine were created in 2003, and serial production started in 2007 and is still ongoing. The drive is provided by four turboprop engines Rolls-Royce AE2100J. The aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 560 km/h, and its maximum range is 4,700 kilometers. The machine has no fixed armament. Shin Meiwa US-2 was commissioned by the Japanese Air Force, which at the beginning of the 21st century reported a need for a completely new flying boat capable of rescue operations in open sea areas. The machine was to replace the aging Shin Meiwa US-1 / US-1A machines in the line. It is worth noting that the new flying boat was not intended to have anti-submarine anti-submarine capabilities (ZOP). The manufacturer, in order to shorten the time of analytical work and reduce costs, decided to significantly modernize the US-1A version. The modernization mainly involved replacing the engines with a completely new model, improving the aerodynamics of the aircraft and strengthening the fuselage - especially in its lower part. Currently, the only user of machines of this type is the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, but India, Indonesia and Thailand are also considering their purchase.

HMS Jervis, was a J-class destroyer of the Royal Navy named after Admiral John Jervis (1735–1823). She was laid down by R. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Company, Limited, at Hebburn-on-Tyne on 26 August 1937. The ship was launched on 9 September 1938 and commissioned on 8 May 1939, four months before the start of the Second World War. Designed as a flotilla leader to the J-class destroyers, who were intended to make up the 7th Destroyer Flotilla, Jervis was the sister ship of, and identical to, Kelly, leader to the K class (forming the 8th Flotilla) and similar to Napier of the N class. However, despite an impressive war record (she earned 13 battle honours) she remains virtually unknown. Jervis had a reputation as a lucky ship (in contrast to her sister, Kelly, who seemed to have more than her share of bad luck). Despite a long and active career, in 5½ years of war and 13 major actions, not one of her crew was lost to enemy action, possibly a unique record. An example of her luck might be seen in her action at Anzio in January 1944. Supporting the landing with gunfire, Jervis and her sister ship, Janus, were attacked by enemy aircraft using Henschel Hs 293 glider bombs. Both were hit; Janus’ forward magazine exploded, sinking her with the loss of nearly 160 of her crew; Jervis’ bow was blown off, leaving her to be towed stern-first to safety. Astonishingly, not one of her crew was harmed in this incident, and she was able to rescue over 80 of Janus’ crew. Aoshima brings us the Royal Navy Destroyer HMS Jervis SD plastic kit! HMS Jupiter (F85) was a British destroyer, the keel of which was laid in September 1937, launched in October 1938, and entered service with the Royal Navy in the summer of 1939. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 108.7 m, width 10.9 m, with a standard displacement - 1720 tons. In turn, the maximum speed was up to 36 knots. The ship's armament included 3 twin 120mm QF Mark XII cannons, 1 quadruple 40mm gun (the so-called pom-pom) and 2 quadruple 533mm torpedo tubes. HMS Jupiter (F85) was one of the ships belonging to the J-Class, which, together with the K and N classes, was developed for the Royal Navy as a simplified continuation of the Tribal class, with a significant strengthening of the torpedo armament and the use of - for the second time first on British destroyers! - a system of two boiler rooms. Class J, K and N units have also been made smaller and their design generally simplified. However, thanks to the careful design, three series of successful ships were created with quite a significant modernization potential. HMS Jupiter (F85) at Yarro shipyard in Glasgow, entered service shortly before the outbreak of World War II. In April 1940, the unit took part in the Norwegian campaign, and in the last days of August of the same year, it participated in the mining of the surrounding waters, already occupied by the Germans, the Netherlands. Until the end of 1941, HMS Jupiter (F85) operated in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean basin, periodically being part of the so-called Team H operating out of Gibraltar. In November 1941, the destroyer set off for the Far East. In February 1942, it took part in the Battle of the Java Sea, during which it sank. The HMS Jupiter, who fought fiercely with the Japanese Navy at the Battle of Subaraya, is now part of Aoshima's 1/700-scale Waterline series! This warship model is reproduced as she was seen in 1942, with careful attention paid to all its proportions, including those of the bridge and its various weapons. The Type 96 WAPC is a contemporary Japanese armored personnel carrier. The first prototypes of the car were developed in the early 1990s, and serial production started in 1996 and is still going on. It is estimated that in 2014 there were 365 Type 96 WAPC vehicles in the line. The drive is provided by a single motor Mitsubishi 6D40 with a power of 360 HP. It is armed with a single 40mm Type 96 automatic grenade launcher and one 12.7mm M2HB machine gun. The Type 96 WAPC armored personnel carrier was developed by the Komatsu concern on behalf of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. The vehicle can gather up to eight landing troops on board in full inventory. The vehicle's cover is provided by steel armor, which provides protection against small arms and artillery shells. Transporter Type 96 WAPC is characterized by great maneuverability and very high mobility - both on the road and off-road. The maximum speed of the vehicle is up to 100 km / h! The vehicle also has a very rich electronic equipment and a battlefield management system. Since 2017, tests have been carried out on vehicle prototypes to replace the Type 96 WAPC in the line. The only user of this type of vehicle is the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.
