While the Zero fighter Type 21 enjoyed a rapid advance in the early stages of the war, by 1943 it had become inferior in terms of speed and firepower to the new, advanced fighter planes of the U.S. Army and Navy that were appearing one after another . Following the Type 32 and Type 22, the Type 52 was developed. Its wingspan was shortened from 12m in the Type 21 and Type 22 to 11m, the cowling was redesigned, and a thrust-type single exhaust pipe was installed to improve speed. As a result, its maximum speed was 565 km/h, 25 km/h faster than the Type 22. Furthermore, the Type 52A was produced, which replaced the 20mm machine guns in the wings with belt-fed Type 99 Model 2, Type 4 20mm machine guns andthickened the wing skin to increase the dive speed limit . However, the Navy's demands continued, resulting in the Type 52B, which strengthened the right side of the 7.7mm machine gun in the nose with a 13mm machine gun, and the Type 52C, which added 13mm machine guns to the outside of the 20mm machine guns on both wings of the Type B. Approximately 6,000 aircraft of the Type 52 series were produced by Nakajima and Mitsubishi and continued to fight until the end of the Pacific War.

The AH-64D Apache Longbow is an advanced version of the AH-64A Apache, an all-weather attack helicopter developed and adopted in accordance with the U.S. Army's Advanced Attack Helicopter (AAH) program.  The radar-equipped version was called the AH-64D Apache Longbow, while the radar-less version was called the AH-64C. However, at the end of 1993, the AH-64C designation was abolished, and all versions came to be called the AH-64D Apache Longbow, regardless of whether they were equipped with radar or not.

Hasegawa brings us a newly tooled kit of the classic BMW 2002 tii in 1/24th scale! Manufactured starting from 1971, the 2002 tii model BMW featured a 2.0L fuel-injected four cylinder engine rated at 130hp. Hasegawa’s nicely detailed new curbside-kit (no engine included) will feature two types of side-view mirrors, two different front bumper styles with the detail and fit and finish that Hasegawa are famous for! One of their most important components is the United States Air Force (USAF), which became an independent branch of the armed forces in 1947. They are currently considered the most powerful and modern air force in the world. They currently have a total of over 5,300 aircraft, and about 320,000 professional soldiers and about 142,000 civilian employees serve in them. In addition, there are about 69,000 reserve members and about 106,000 National Guard reservists. Every member of the USAF, including future ground personnel, undergoes Basic Military Training (BMT), which lasts 8.5 weeks. This is followed by further specialist training, which makes the future USAF soldier a specialist in a given field. It is worth adding that the time of specialist training can vary from 4-5 weeks to 52 weeks. As an interesting fact, an aircraft mechanic serving in the USAF earns from 25 to as much as 63 thousand dollars per year, and an on-board electronics serviceman/mechanic - from 27 to 62 thousand dollars per year. Originally laid down in 1917, the Ise was completely modernized in 1937. Following the Japanese defeat at Midway, she was hastily reconfigured as a half-carrier in 1943 (flight deck to the rear of the vessel) and was in that configuration when she was sunk at her moorings in Kure by a US air attack on July 24, 1945. In the wake of the First World War, the Japanese looked to improve upon their 5500ton class cruisers, then building for service as destroyer squadron leaders. New, contemporary cruiser construction in the United States (Omaha class) and Great Britain (Hawkins class) dictated the need for a larger, faster, and more heavily armed reconnaissance type cruiser. The new IJN ships were designed by Admiral Yuzuru Hiraga to carry six new 20cm mounts and a sizable torpedo battery on a flush deck hull of approximately 7000+ tons (Class A cruiser in IJN parlance).
