The Murasame (DD-101) is a modern Japanese missile destroyer, the keel of which was laid in 1993, launched in August 1994, and commissioned in 1996. The total length of the ship is 151 meters and 17.4 meters wide. Full displacement is about 6,100 tons, and the maximum speed is around 30-31 knots. The destroyer's armament includes: a single 76 mm gun, two 20 mm Vulcan Phalanx CIWS sets, two VLS Mk.41 and Mk.48 16-rail launchers, and two triple torpedo tubes. The ship has a single Mitsubishi SH-60 helicopter.
Murasame (DD-101) is the lead ship of the destroyer class of the same name. Units of this type have been designed and constructed primarily in terms of ZOP (anti-submarine combat) activities and countering surface targets. The Murasame-class destroyers arose as successors to the Asagiri-class. Compared to their predecessors, they have several significant improvements. First of all, they used some of the achievements of stealth technology - especially in the construction of superstructures. Murasame-class ships also have much more modern electronic equipment (especially radars) and missile weapons located in vertical VLS launchers. The first ship of this class was the Murasame (DD-101), which was built at the IHI Corporation shipyard in Tokyo. In 1998, 2000 and 2003, the unit took part in the international RIMPAC maneuvers. In 2004, the unit was sent to the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf region to support American forces operating in that region, and four years later Murasame (DD-101) operated in the Indian Ocean providing logistical support to international forces taking part in operations in Afghanistan. Interestingly, in 2005, the destroyer took part in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. In 2010 and 2012, the destroyer operated in the waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Horn of Africa, carrying out anti-piracy activities and - above all - protecting civil shipping. Murasame (DD-101) is currently in active service.

Takanami (DD-110) is a modern Japanese missile destroyer, the keel of which was laid in 2000, launched in July 2001, and commissioned in 2003. The total length of the ship is 151 meters and 17.4 meters wide. Full displacement is about 6,300 tons, and the maximum speed is around 30-31 knots. The destroyer's armament includes: a single 127 mm Mark 45 gun, two 20 mm Vulcan Phalanx sets, a single 32-rail VLS Mk. 41 or two 324 mm triple torpedo tubes. The ship has a single Mitsubishi SH-60 helicopter.
The Takanami (DD-110) is the lead unit of the destroyer class of the same name. Takanami-class units were designed and built around the Murasame class of units. Compared to their predecessors, they differ mainly: a much more modern fire control system (OPS-24B), a completely new sonar, as well as changed artillery and missile weapons. At present, they are complementary to the Congo and Atago class units, rather serving as anti-sea and underwater target units. The first of this class of vessels, the Takanami (DD-110), was built at the IHI Corporation shipyard in Tokyo. Its name refers to the Japanese destroyer from World War II. The unit, shortly after entering service - in 2004 - was sent to the Indian Ocean in order to support the American activities related to the so-called war on terrorism, which, however, was met with protests in the country. In the same year, the ship took part in a rescue and humanitarian operation in Thailand caused by the earthquake and tsunami. In the period 2009-2010, the destroyer operated in the Somali region, carrying out anti-piracy activities and - above all - protecting civil shipping. Takanami (DD-110) remains in active service.

USS North Carolina (BB-55) was an American battleship laid down in 1937, launched in June 1940, and commissioned in the US Navy in 1941. The ship was 222 m long, 33 m wide, and her full displacement - at the time of launching - 44,400 tons. The maximum speed of the USS North Carolina battleship was up to 26 knots. The main armament was 9 406 mm guns in three turrets of three guns each, and the secondary armament was mainly 20 127 mm guns.
USS North Carolina was the first of two battleships of the type to bear the same name. This type of ships was one of the first modern US Navy ships of the World War II period. During their construction, no tractor restrictions were applied, which resulted in a significant increase in displacement to the so-called standard battleships and the ability to mount powerful main and secondary weapons located in separate towers, not casemates. The new battleships also have improved performance over battleships such as Colorado and Pennsylvania. USS North Carolina (BB-55) underwent its baptism of fire in World War II in the Pacific from participating in the fighting in the Gudalcanal area in the second half of 1942, taking part in the Battle of the Eastern Solomon Islands, among others. In September 1942, the ship was damaged as a result of an attack by the I-19 submarine. After the repairs of the USS North Carolina, however, she quickly returned to the line. In November 1943, the ship supported operations in the Tarawa region. A year later, the ship supported the landing on Saipan and took part in the Battle of the Philippine Sea. In 1945, the ship supported operations in Okinawa. USS North Carolina (BB-55) was decommissioned in 1947 and has been serving as a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina since 1962.

USS Washington (BB-56) was an American battleship laid down in 1938, launched in June 1940, and commissioned in the US Navy in 1941. The ship was 222 m long, 33 m wide, and her full displacement - at the time of launching - 44,400 tons. The maximum speed of the USS Washington battleship was 26-28 knots. The main armament was 9 406 mm guns in three turrets of three guns each, and the secondary armament was mainly 20 127 mm guns.
USS Washington was the second and last battleship of the North Carolina class. This type of ships was one of the first modern US Navy ships of the World War II period. Their construction was not guided by any tractor restrictions, which resulted in a significant increase in displacement to the so-called standard battleships and the ability to mount powerful main and secondary weapons located in separate towers, not casemates. The new battleships also have improved performance over battleships such as Colorado and Pennsylvania. USS Washington (BB-56) underwent its baptism of fire in World War II in the waters of the Atlantic, operating with the British Home Fleet from March to July 1942. During this period, it also covered Arctic convoys from Great Britain to the USSR. However, in mid-1942, he was transferred to the Pacific, where he took part in the fighting in the Gudalcanal area. On November 15, 1942, it fought a victorious artillery fight with the battleship Kirishima, as a result of which the Japanese battleship had to be finished off by its own destroyers the next day. In 1944, the USS Washington took part in the Battle of the Philippine Sea. In February 1945, the ship supported the invasion of Iwo-Jima with its artillery fire, and in March it acted against port installations in the Japanese Islands. USS Washington (BB-56) was decommissioned in 1947 and sold for scrap in 1961.
The U.S. Navy's battleship Washington joins Aoshima's 1/700-scale "Waterline" ship model kit series! The Washington was the second of the North Carolina-class battleships built by the U.S. military after the Washington Naval Treaty. In the Pacific War, she achieved results such as sinking the Japanese Navy's battleship Kirishima in the Third Battle of the Solomons.

Tirpitz was a German battleship, the keel of which was laid in 1936 and launched in April 1939. The battleship entered the rope service in the German Navy (German Kriegsmarine) in February 1941. The ship was 254 meters long, 36 meters wide, and had a full displacement of 53,500 tons. Tirpitz's top speed was around 30-31 knots. The main armament was 8 380 mm guns in four twin turrets, and the secondary armament included: 12 150 mm guns or 16 105 mm guns.
The Tirpitz was the second Bismarck-class ship. It was ordered to replace in line the old battleship Schleswig-Holstein, completely obsolete in the 1930s - the same one whose volleys on Westerplatte started World War II in Europe. At the time of launching, Tirpitz was the largest German ship. It had good armor, and its main or secondary armament was in no way inferior to its counterparts on British ships. Shortly after entering service - in June and July 1941 - he insured the activities of the German troops as part of Operation Barbarossa, but no more serious actions against the Soviet fleet took place at that time. Following these actions, Tirpitz was forwarded to the base in Trondheim, Norway at the turn of 1941 and 1942, from where he began to operate against Allied convoys sailing with Lend-and-lease to Murmansk via the North Atlantic and Norwegian Sea. In July 1942, the mere departure from the port of the battleship Tirpitz led to the dispersion of the PQ-17 convoy, which was then decimated by German planes and U-boats. Undoubtedly, Tirpitz's presence in the northern waters was a great nuisance for the Royal Navy, and it involved 5-7 British battleships! It is no coincidence that the German ship was nicknamed "Lonely Lord of the North". Accordingly, in 1943-1944 the British undertook several actions with miniature submarines, which led to damage to the ship. However, Tirpitz was not sunk until November 12, 1944, as a result of a raid by heavy Lancaster-class bombers.

Hayabusa is the name of a class of modern Japanese rocket boats. Units of this type entered service in 2002-2004. In total, six units of this type were built. The Hayabusa-class ships are 50.1 meters long and 8.4 meters wide. Full displacement is around 240 tons and the maximum speed is clearly over 40 knots. They are armed with: four SSM-1B missile launchers, a single 76 mm cannon and two 12.7 mm machine guns. The Hayabusa class currently consists of six units: Hayabusa (lead unit), Wakataka, Otaka, Kumataka, Umitaka and Shiritaka. All these units were built at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Shimonoseki. Hayabusa-class boats were developed to replace the PG-class units in the line, i.e. the Italian Sparviero class, produced under license in Japan. Compared to their predecessors, the new units differ in almost every element: they are much larger, have a significantly larger crew, a larger radius of action, better seafaring and more elaborate electronic equipment. Units of this type are primarily used for patrol duty.

The Lamborghini Countach is an Italian sports car that was first presented to the general public in 1973 at the Geneva MotorShow. Its serial production was carried out in the years 1974-1990. Only about 2050 cars of this model were built in its course.
The Countach model was developed to replace the Miura model in Lamborghini's offer. Compared to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Countach clearly differed in the styling of the body, especially its front part, as well as the shape of the air intakes and the design of the passenger compartment. Although the same engine model was used as in the Miura model, it was modified, which increased its maximum power. The car, however, was difficult to drive, and also had a hard-working steering and gearbox. Nevertheless, it was considered to be one of the best - if not the best - sports car of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The car in the basic version (LP-400) is able to accelerate to 316 km / h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is 5.6 seconds! The prices of used Lamborghini Countach oscillate around 300-350 thousand. dollars.

The H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV for short, another name: Kounotori) is the term for the contemporary series of Japanese unmanned transport spacecraft. The first successful flight of the ship in this series took place in 2009. A single HTV vessel is 9.2 meters long and 4.4 meters in diameter. The standard weight of the vehicle is 16.5 tons, with the load weight not exceeding 6 tons. The main task of ships of this type is to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). The ship is launched into orbit by the H-IIB carrier rocket. So far, all launches have been carried out from the Tanegashima Space Flight Center. It is worth adding that the HTV series of ships is clearly structurally different from the Russian Progress vehicles. Japanese ships, for example, can take more cargo on board, but do not have a comprehensive steering and docking system.

Mitsubishi Lancer is a Japanese passenger car, initially of the lower-middle class, and now - of the middle class, produced by Mitsubishi Motors. The car was presented to the public for the first time in 1972 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its production started a year later and is still going on for the Taiwanese and Chinese markets. During this period, it was carried out in several cities around the world, including Kurashiki in Japan, Normal in the USA and Taoyuan in Taiwan. The Lancer model was developed and put into production in order to expand the commercial offer of Mitsubishi Motors, as well as to fill the gap in this offer, which was created between the Minica model (a kai-car intended for the Japanese market) and the Galant models, i.e. the car middle and upper-middle class. The car was quite successful and from the very beginning it became famous for its high reliability. The reputation of this model was enhanced by the 1600GSR version, which in the 70s of the twentieth century achieved numerous successes in car rallies. It is worth adding that also subsequent versions of Lancer continued this glorious tradition initiated by the 1600GSR version. All this made the management of Mitsubishi Motors decide to continue the production and improvement of this model. The last, VIII generation, Lancer model was presented in 2007 and was produced until 2016.
