When cargo ships arrive at their destination port after thousands of nautical miles, they still have a difficult stretch ahead of them. This is where the harbor tugboats come into play, taking command and pulling the huge ships safely to the dock. The tugboats do not take on cargo, but are used to haul and maneuver large tankers and cargo ships. These small, robust, but very maneuverable vessels have very powerful engines ranging from 250 to several thousand horsepower. Their conning bridges are designed as high superstructures in order to guarantee, in accordance with their task, good all-round visibility for safe guidance through the narrow port area. The stern, bow and sides are usually reinforced and additionally equipped with wickerwork.

Titanic Platinum Edition: When perfection is your standard
Many model makers know the dilemma: you buy a kit and then invest twice as much and a lot of time looking for "aftermarket" parts because plastic alone often doesn't look realistic enough. Particularly on historic ships, plastic decks or railings that are too thick seriously disrupt the overall impression. With the Titanic Platinum Edition we end this search. We provide you with a high-end package that leaves nothing to be desired. You not only receive the kit, but also the premium components such as real wood decks and photo-etched parts, which turn a very good model into a museum masterpiece.
Features
Historical forms: “Tool from 1957” – hold a piece of Revell company history in your hands. The design reflects the charm of the early kit era.
Large scale: In 1:28 (over 26 cm wingspan), the triplane looks particularly impressive and stands out clearly from the usual 1:72 or 1:48 models.
Cult status: For many long-time model builders, this kit is a journey back to their own childhood. A real collector's item.
Challenge Level 4: As is usual with historical shapes, real craftsmanship is required when adjusting and gluing the 60 parts together.
Collectible: As a limited edition, availability is limited - ideal for fans who are looking for something special.
The "Platinum Edition" is our answer to the desire for uncompromising quality. You're not just assembling a ship here; you reconstruct a legend using the best possible materials. The construction process is a journey in itself: laying the wooden deck requires precision, but rewards you with a warm, authentic feel. Working with the photo-etched parts requires a steady hand, but gives the model that delicate lightness that characterized the original.
This set is for you if you want to leave the "plastic look" behind. It's the ultimate project for long winter evenings where you can completely lose yourself in the technical beauty of the world's most famous ocean liner. The result is a model that doesn't look like a toy, but rather like a technical exhibit.
Background information
The RMS Titanic was more than just a ship; it was the pride of the White Star Line and a symbol of the technical optimism of the early 20th century. Their tragic demise after colliding with an iceberg, in which over 1,500 people died, is deeply anchored in the collective memory. The wreck, which was only discovered in 1985 at a depth of 3,800 meters, continues to fascinate researchers and historians to this day. With this model you preserve the memory of the engineering masterpiece and the human destinies that are associated with this name.

USS Constitution - 250 Years US Navy: A Monument of Model Making
There are model kits. And then there are legends. The 1:96 scale USS Constitution undoubtedly belongs to the second category. On the occasion of the huge milestone "250 Years of the U.S. Navy" and "Sail 2025", Revell is bringing back this maritime masterpiece as a reissue. With a length of over 90 cm and more than 1,300 components, this model of the "Old Ironsides" is not just a replica, but rather a homage to the oldest warship in the world still in service. This kit demands respect, patience and skill – and rewards you with a museum piece that will last for generations.
Features
Scale of superlatives: In 1:96 the ship reveals its true splendor. Every deck, cannon and mast is shown at a size that allows for extremely high levels of detail.
Challenge Level 5: With 1307 individual parts, this set is a marathon for experienced model builders. The complex rigging in particular is a project in itself.
Anniversary edition: This set celebrates Constitution's role as a symbol of America's naval history, just in time for the celebration of 250 years of the US Navy.
Fascinating structures: The hull and deck have the finest wood grains. The structured surface of the sails gives the model dynamism.
Imposing dimensions: With a length of 918 mm and a width (across the frames) of 680 mm, this ship dominates any room.
Building the USS Constitution is a journey back in time to 1797. You begin with the legendary hull, originally made of extremely hard Virginia oak. You install the detailed guns on the gun deck, construct the delicate lifeboats, and finally tackle the most challenging task: the standing and running rigging of the three massive masts. The illustrated instructions guide you safely through this complex process, which combines technical understanding with craftsmanship.
Background information
The USS Constitution was launched in 1797 and is the oldest seaworthy warship in the world. She earned her nickname "Old Ironsides" during the War of 1812, when British cannonballs reportedly ricocheted off her massive oak planks as if they were made of iron. She is more than a ship; she is a floating symbol of the strength and heritage of the U.S. Navy. She remains moored in Boston and is maintained by an active Navy crew.
