The MIM-104 Patriot is a modern US medium-range surface-to-air missile system. The first prototypes of the MIM-104 Patriot missile appeared in the late 1960s, and entered the line in the US armed forces in 1981. The latest versions of the MIM-104 missiles can engage air targets at an altitude of up to 25 km and at a distance of up to 160 km, and can carry a warhead weighing up to 90 kilograms. In the US Army, the Patriot system is often built on a wheeled chassis - most often the M983 Oshkosh trucks. The MIM-104 Patriot system was developed by Raytheon to replace the MIM-23 Hawk and MIM-14 Nike Hercules missiles. Work on it began in 1961, and the trial - successful - firing dates back to 1969. However, shortly thereafter, the US armed forces changed the requirements for the system and decided that it would use the Track-via-Missile (TVM) system, which assumed the self-collection of information about the target by a missile already fired. This requirement significantly increased the level of difficulty of the entire undertaking and significantly extended the work. It was not until the end of the 1970s that it was possible to meet the high demands of the American armed forces, and from 1981 the MIM-104 Patriot system began to enter the line. The Patriot system was originally designed as a theater air defense system to fight enemy aircraft, but since the early 1990s, with the introduction of the MIM-104C missile and the use of much more advanced guidance systems and radars, the system has achieved the ability to combat enemy ballistic missiles short and medium range. The system was used in combat primarily in Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991. The operators of the Patriot system, in addition to the US armed forces, are also, among others: Greece, the Netherlands, Israel, Japan and Germany. The system is also offered to Poland as part of the Wisła program. Joining Aoshima's 1/72 Military series is the PAC-3 Launcher! The PAC-3 is the third upgrade in the line developed by Raytheon in the USA. This model comes with both the launcher and the tractor, based off the JASDF variant. Molded in dark green and clear plastic, contains decals and some cord for the hoses.  This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Aoshima A000999 1/45 Diesel... $198.95 $259.99
Type DD51 is the type designation of Japanese diesel locomotives from the post-war period. Locomotives of this type were produced in the years 1962-1978. In total, 649 units of these rail vehicles were built. The weight of a single locomotive was 84 tons, and its length with buffers - 18 m. The locomotives were adapted to the 1067 mm rail gauge. Their axis arrangement is B-2-B. The DD51 locomotives were developed to complement the Japanese rolling stock of the D51 and C62 steam locomotives. They were characterized by both higher power and higher maximum speed than their predecessors. The engine, which is the "heart" of the DD51 locomotives, was developed as a far-reaching development of the engine used in the DD13 locomotives. It is worth adding that the production of these locomotives was carried out by several large companies, primarily: Kawasaki, Hitachi and Mitsubishi. In April 2016, there were still 29 locomotives of this type in use in Japan. The long-awaited standard color version of the popular 1/45 scale DD51 is now available. This plastic model kit is based on thorough research of the actual vehicle and reproduces not only the exterior but also the internal engine in great detail. This is a train model intended for display purposes only (i.e., it does not run on a track). Features The total length is approximately 400mm, and the number of the parts is approximately 1,200. Each cover is removable, allowing you to view the internal engine even after completion. The kit is available in two versions: a heavy cold-weather version with turning windows and SG, and a nimble cargo version. Old model parts, etching and metal parts are included. Exterior parts are molded in vermilion Included display stand is reversible between flat roadbed and maintenance pit. The engineer figure comes with two different poses in summer and winter uniforms, three hats, and a bag.

The Shin Meiwa US-2 is a modern Japanese flying boat. The first prototypes of the machine were created in 2003, and serial production started in 2007 and is still ongoing. The drive is provided by four turboprop engines Rolls-Royce AE2100J.. The aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 560 km / h, and its maximum range is 4,700 kilometers. The machine has no fixed armament. Shin Meiwa US-2 was commissioned by the Japanese Air Force, which at the beginning of the 21st century reported a need for a completely new flying boat capable of rescue operations in open sea areas. The machine was to replace the aging Shin Meiwa US-1 / US-1A machines in the line. It is worth noting that the new flying boat was not intended to have anti-submarine anti-submarine capabilities (ZOP). The manufacturer, in order to shorten the time of analytical work and reduce costs, decided to significantly modernize the US-1A version. The modernization mainly involved replacing the engines with a completely new model, improving the aerodynamics of the aircraft and strengthening the fuselage - especially in its lower part. Currently, the only user of machines of this type is the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, but India, Indonesia and Thailand are also considering their purchase.

The Kiyokawa Maru was one of nine merchant ships converted into seaplane carriers between 1937 and 1942. The ship was built at Kawasaki's Kode Shipyard and launched on December 13, 1936 as a merchant vessel for the Kawasaki Kisen K. K. Line. Requisitioned by the IJN on September 28, 1941, she was refitted as a seaplane tender. The ship served in the Pacific Campaign of World War II and was attacked by aircraft from Task Force 38 on July 20, 1945, hit by bombs and heavily damaged, then forced to beach off Shida beach north of Kaminoseki, Yamaguchi to avoid sinking. On November 22, 1945, during heavy weather, the Kiyokawa Maru sank. Raised in December 1948, she was later repaired and put into civilian passenger service, then sold to Taiwan and scrapped in 1969. This is a water line model kit molded in grey plastic. Includes decals.
