Aoshima's kit of the Takao, in a 1942 "retake" version. Builds into a full-hull model with dispay stands.
The lead ship of her class, Takao was built at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal and commissioned on May 31, 1932. Following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, she took part in the landings at Philippines in early 1942 and the landings at the Aleutian Islands that June. During the Battle of Santa Cruz in October, she helped in the sinking of USS Hornet (CV-8). The following month, Takao participated in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. Attacked and damaged in November 1943 by SBD Dauntless dive bombers from USS Saratoga (CV-3), she was in dry-dock for repairs until early 1944. Taking part in the Battle of the Philippine Sea that June, she was ordered to face the U.S. Navy during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Takao was attacked and damaged by torpedoes from USS Darter (SS-227) on October 23. Making her way to Singapore, she was deemed unrepairable. Attacked by Royal Navy midget submarines in July 1945, she received further damage. In October 1946, Takao was towed to the Strait of Malacca and sunk as a target ship by the Royal Navy light cruiser HMS Newfoundland.

Highly detailed waterline kit of the Katsuragi, with colorful decals to represent the interesting camo pattern on the flight deck.
Katsuragi was the third and final Unryū-class aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy built during World War II. Named after Mount Katsuragi,[1] in Nara Prefecture, and completed late in the war; she never embarked her complement of aircraft and spent the war in Japanese waters. The ship was badly damaged in a July 1945 airstrike by American carrier aircraft on Kure Naval Base. Repaired after the end of the war, Katsuragi was then used as a repatriation transport for a number of months, bringing Japanese soldiers and civilians back to Japan from overseas locations. She was scrapped in Japan beginning in late 1946.

Detailed waterline kit of the Amagi, A Japanese aircraft carrier that never saw battle in WWII before being sunk at its moorings.
Amagi (Japanese: Heavenly Castle) was a Japanese aircraft carrier, the keel of which was laid in 1942, launched in October 1943, and commissioned in the Imperial Japanese Navy in August 1944. The ship was 226 meters long, 22 meters wide, and had a full displacement of 20,450 tons. The maximum speed of the aircraft carrier Amagi was around 34 knots, and its main armament consisted of 65 on-board planes.
Amagi was the second of 16 planned Unryu-class aircraft carriers. In fact, only three ships of this class entered service. Amagi, like its twin units, was based on the modified Hiryu aircraft carrier. The differences between the two types of ships were small and mainly related to the layout of the starting deck. The participation of the aircraft carrier Amagi in World War II was symbolic - suffice to say that such a powerful unit never took part in a fight on the open sea! From August 1944 to January 1945, Amagi was transferred from base to base on the territory of the mother islands, and finally reached the base at Kure. Due to the lack of fuel and the impossibility of embarking the air group, the ship was camouflaged in this naval base, which, however, did not prevent it from being detected and bombed by American on-board planes in March and July 1945: the first raid seriously damaged it, and the second one - sent it to the bottom .

Kit builds into a highly detailed waterline model of the Unryu.
The Japanese aircraft carrier Unryū was the lead ship of her class of fleet aircraft carriers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II. She was commissioned in mid-1944, but fuel and aircrew shortages limited her use to Japanese waters. The impending American invasion of Luzon caused the IJN to order her to transport aircraft and supplies to the Philippines in December. The ship was torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Redfish in the East China Sea during the voyage.

Chiyoda was a light aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. Originally constructed as the second vessel of the Chitose-class seaplane tenders in 1934, she continued to operate in that capacity during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the early stages of the Pacific War until her conversion into a light aircraft carrier after the Battle of Midway. She was sunk during the Battle of Leyte Gulf by a combination of naval bombers, cruiser shellfire and destroyer-launched torpedoes.

Mizuho was a seaplane carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. The ship was built at Kawasaki Shipbuilding at Kobe, Japan, and was completed in February 1939.
Mizuho was built to a similar design as the seaplane carrier Chitose, but with slightly less powerful diesel engines instead of Chitose's turbines. She carried 24 seaplanes, and was equipped to carry twelve miniature submarines, although she could not carry full loads of both at one time.

Chitose was a warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy that served from 1938 to 1944, seeing service as a seaplane carrier and later as a light aircraft carrier during World War II. In her initial guise as a seaplane carrier, she first saw service during the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1938, and subsequently played a key role in the Imperial Japanese Navy's development of a network of seaplane bases on the islands of the Pacific Ocean. After the outbreak of World War II in the Pacific, she took part in the Philippines campaign, the Dutch East Indies campaign, the Battle of Midway, and the Guadalcanal campaign, during which she was damaged in the Battle of the Eastern Solomons and also saw service related to the Battle of Cape Esperance.
Chitose was converted into a light aircraft carrier during 1943, and subsequently took part in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. She was sunk in the Battle off Cape Engaño, one of several actions that made up the Battle of Leyte Gulf, on 25 October 1944.

Trucks, commonly known as 3 and a half tons, are cab-over trucks for transporting personnel and goods, and are the SDF vehicles most commonly seen by the general public deployed in all JGSDF units. This truck configuration is currently common among European and Asian truck manufacturers. European regulations set restrictions for both the total length and the length of the load area, which allow a cab length of 2.35 m (7 ft 8+1⁄2 in) in combination with the maximum load area length. This allows a sleeper cab with a narrow bunk, and would allow a bonneted (hooded) day cab.
Aoshima's 1/72 Military Model Kit Series, including this 3-ton half-track model kit, was voted "Model of the Year" for 2015 by ModellFan magazine in Germany! Includes a full load of 18 figures to ride in the back, plus two driver figures! Molded in green and clear plastic, includes decals too.
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Yamashiro was the second of two Fusō-class dreadnought battleships built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Launched in 1915 and commissioned in 1917, she initially patrolled off the coast of China, playing no part in World War I. In 1923, she assisted survivors of the Great Kantō earthquake.
Yamashiro was modernized between 1930 and 1935, with improvements to her armor and machinery and a rebuilt superstructure in the pagoda mast style. Nevertheless, with only 14-inch guns, she was outclassed by other Japanese battleships at the beginning of World War II, and played auxiliary roles for most of the war.

Japanese Self-Defense Forces Japan Self-Defense Force, JSDF for short ), and more specifically their land component, that is the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), from the 1950s and 1960s attached considerable importance to the use of helicopters. On the one hand, this was due to the topographic conditions of the Japanese islands, which are mountainous areas, where air transport is often a tactical necessity. On the other hand, helicopters were relatively quickly perceived as a very effective weapon against enemy armor. Again - the topography of the Japanese islands and their considerable forestation favored the use of helicopters in this role. These factors affect the development of the JGSDF helicopter forces to this day. It is assumed that the JGSDF currently has a wide range of rotorcraft, including: 12 Boeing AH-64 DJP machines, the Japanese version of the popular Apache, 88 AH-1S Cobra helicopters, but also over 40 Kawasaki OH-1 helicopters Ninja or nearly 60 CH-47 Chinook machines in the J and JA versions. It is worth adding that all the above-mentioned machines are licensed by Japanese plants - primarily Fuji and Kawasaki. It can be estimated that there are currently about 500 helicopters of various types at the JGSDF.
This is a set of injection-plastic detailing parts for use with ship models.

The Akizuki class of destroyers of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force is intended to escort the Hyūga-class and Izumo-class helicopter destroyers, and safeguard the other Aegis-capable warships such as the Kongō class and Atago class. The destroyer provides defense against surface, airborne and undersea threats. The class was initially designated as "19DD", referring to a date on the Japanese calendar, specifically the 19th fiscal year of the Heisei period (2007).
