The bottles identified by labels with a grey circle comprise specially formulated mediums to modify the properties of paints. Glaze medium dilutes the paints and extends their drying time allowing to make glazes or mixtures. Metallic medium mixed with other paints offers a pearly and metallic effect. Crackle Medium causes the paint to crack. It comes in 17ml bottles.

The Vallejo pigments, a selection of natural earth and synthetic pigments, have been selected for their durability, their excellent lightfastness and the extra-fine grinding of their particles, which makes them easier to mix and use on models and dioramas. The range of pigments includes a range of colors chosen to represent the wear and tear and erosion caused by the conditions of harsh use and stress on vehicles and buildings, to the dust that clumped on the tracks of the tanks to reproduce the rust on the armor and the multiple effects of climate and geographic conditions of use. Pigments can be applied to the model in dry form, directly with the brush, as they have excellent adhesion; they can also be fixed with thinner when used to display dry mud or accumulated dust. With pigment binders, the pigments can be used to create bulk like accumulated dirt and mud. Painting tools are cleaned with water.

Matt acrylic colors, water-based and especially formulated for airbrushing. The Model Air color range contains the most complete selection of the military colors used in recent history, including the colors of WWI, WWII and up to the present. Each color is based on extensive research by our experts of the existing and previous military references so as to offer the modeler the highest possible historical accuracy. Model Air is used directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prime the surface, and then apply Model Air in several layers. The colors dry very rapidly and form a homogenous paint film of extraordinary resistance while preserving even the smallest detail of the model. For airbrushing these colors, the compressor air pressure is recommended at 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be applied with a brush. For correct airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. Packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so that It can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.

Vallejo's Surface Primers are water based Acrylic-Polyurethane primers. They are perfect for surfaces like plastics, brass, resin, metal, etc., and can be used on model trains, airplanes, armor, ships, and figures. They provide a great surface for the painting and weathering / finishing stages. Primers are formulated to provide the correct undercoating to bind the paint to the surface of the model. Primers are the important first step in the entire process of model painting. This primer can be applied directly by airbrush or paint brush. There is no need to thin the primer. It dry fast and leaves a self-leveling, durable, scratch resistant, flat finish that is completely resistant to further handling. Because this primer is self-leveling it does not hide the minute details of the model. Directions For Use: Shake the bottle before using. Pour the desired amount into the airbrush cup or paint cup. Primer does not have to be thinned for air brushing or when using a paint brush. When applying with a airbrush spray from an 8-inch distance for better coverage. Primer is self-leveling and will not hide any of the fine detail when dry.

This acrylic varnish is truly unique and has been tailored to remove the shine of any models being dipped with Quickshade or painted using conventional paints. Although really matt, the sprays original formula retains the metallic shine from Plate Mail etc. Always let the Quickshade dry for minimum 48 hours before using this varnish and apply it in a thin coat.
